Breach & Clear: DEADline Announced

04_BreachAndClear_DEADline-ActionShot_UrbanHub-01-1920x1080_v2 copy

July 28, 2014 – — A deadly new breed of human monster is on the rise in the sprawling metropolis and it’s up to you to stop it before the infection spreads. Mighty Rabbit Studios and Gun Media today announced Breach & Clear: DEADline, the all-new follow up to the critically acclaimed and commercially successful 2013 tactical action title for iOS, Android and PC, Breach & Clear.

Hitting Steam Early Access for PC, Linux and Mac this fall for $19.99, Breach & Clear: DEADline adds real-time strategy elements to the tactical combat action fans loved from the original, and mixes up a radical array of enemy types to test combat skills to the limit. As the commander of an elite Special Forces squad, players will venture far into the sprawling urban expanse of Harbor City to uncover the source of the infectious parasitic worms turning average citizens into horrifying monsters.

Breach & Clear: DEADline gives players full control over their entire squad, allowing them to issue orders to squadmates via the all-new Command Mode feature, allowing for greater on-the-fly decision making during enemy encounters. A variety of combat scenarios emphasizes the need for different approaches to survive the chaos. Plan and execute detailed strategies in dynamically generated situations to overcome enemies, move through the open world, and get closer to the source of the nefarious worm.

Gain experience, level up the squad’s core and tactical abilities, and take on numerous side quests in order to gain rare ammo, weapons and gear. Get in, clear the area and get closer to solving the mystery of the spreading sickness or die trying. With world-class development teams behind the title, Breach & Clear: DEADline is a do-not-miss title hitting Steam Early Access this fall. Find out more at deadline.breachandclear.com.

WE-Tech SMG-8 Airsoft Sub-Machine Gun Review (Airsoft)

gr-we-smg8-bk

Recently, we got the chance to check out the SMG-8 gas blowback airsoft gun from the guys at EVIKE and WE-Tech. The SMG-8 is an MP7 style airsoft sub-machine gun that has so much going for it that I would have no problem using it as either a primary airsoft gun or backup piece. Out of the box, you will find the SMG-8 to be stout yet rugged – measuring only 419mm (16.5 inches) in length when the stock is retracted, yet weighing almost 4 lbs when loaded. WE-Tech has included a couple of rails that you can mount on the front of the SMG-8 should you choose to do so as well as one 44-round magazine and speed loader. The SMG-8 uses WE-Tech’s newest gas system, the “NG3”. We would like to thank Evike.com for sending us out one of these little beauties for testing.

Official Features:

  • High Strength Polymer Receiver
  • Full Metal Barrel and Internal Blowback Assembly
  • Integrated 20mm Accessory Rails
  • Railed Receiver for Optics
  • Extendable Stock
  • Fixed Front and Adjustable Rear Sights
  • Textured, Ergonomic Pistol Grip
  • Realistic Blowback Action

Video Testing

Official Specifications:

  • Length: 419mm / 645mm (Retracted / Extended)
  • Weight: 1660g
  • Inner Barrel: ~184mm
  • Thread: 12mm Negative
  • Magazine Capacity: 44rds
  • Muzzle Velocity: 370~400 FPS (Measured with 0.20g BBs and Green Gas)
  • Gas Type: Green Gas, Red Gas, Propane
  • Fire Modes: Semi/Full-Auto, Safety
  • Package Includes: Gun, Magazine
  • Hopup: Yes, Adjustable
  • Manufacturer: WE-Tech

When I started testing the SMG-8, I was immediately surprised by two factors: Its accuracy, and the fact that the magazine only fired half its load before running out of gas. Thankfully, this gas leak was short-lived as it only happen that one time. I believe the cause of this gas leak was that the magazine seals were dry due to it never being used. Its accuracy, however continued to stun me with every round I shot. I had not even adjusted the SMG-8’s hop-up unit and was successful at striking near my aimpoint out to about 100 feet.

Technically, WE-Tech does state that you can use green gas, propane, or red gas in the gun – although we only had green has on-hand for our usage. We chronographed the SMG-8 using .20G BBs and found it had a velocity ranging between 360 and 390 FPS. One of the most notable features of the WE SMG-8 is the recoil felt while firing it. This airsoft gun kicks like a mule and adds a lot of game-enhancing feedback for the player. Another cool feature of the airsoft gun is its bolt lock back feature. When the magazine is dry, the bolt of the gun locks back until the release level is pressed.

Overall, the WE-Tech SMG-8 gas blowback airsoft gun is a terrific option for those of you wanting to field a sub-machine gun style airsoft gun. It is very rugged and accurate, and would make for a fine primary airsoft gun choice or backup piece.

DCS: F-86F Sabre Available for Pre-Order

F86F-1

DUXFORD, UK, July 26th, 2014 –The Fighter Collection and Eagle Dynamics in cooperation with Belsimtek are pleased to announce that DCS: F-86F Sabre is available for Pre Purchase. Pre Purchase provides access now to the open beta.

Pre Purchase DCS: F-86F Sabre from: http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/shop/

The North American F-86F Sabre was the most capable western fighter of the early- to mid-1950s. This swept wing, single engine jet was the most important western aircraft of the Korean War and often tangled with Russian-made MiG-15s over the infamous “MiG Alley”. It was a hard struggle not only for the Korean sky, but also between two excellent aircraft builders of the East and West.  In addition to its primary role as an air-to-air fighter, the Sabre could also carry bombs and air-to-ground rockets to attack ground targets.

The Belsimtek simulation of the Sabre is by far the most authentic recreation of this famous warbird to date. Feel what is to fly the Sabre with a professional level flight model, an interactive cockpit, fully functional weapons, a detailed damage model and a richly detailed aircraft. Experience the strengths and weaknesses of the Sabre in combat and find out why seasoned fighter pilots often look back at the Sabre as the most enjoyable aircraft they ever flew.

As part of DCS World, fly the F-86F Sabre in a fully realized combat environment with working weapon systems and capable air and ground threats.

Key Features of the DCS: F-86F Sabre:

  • Unmatched flight physics that allow you to truly feel what it’s like to fly this legend
  • Highly detailed, six-degrees-of-freedom (6 DOF) cockpit
  • Interact with cockpit controls with your mouse
  • Fully modelled weapon system
  • Accurate F-86F Sabre model, squadron markings, and weapons.
  • Detailed modelling of the F-86F Sabre instruments, weapons, engine, radios, fuel, electrical and hydraulic systems
  • Battle the MiG-15, the Sabre’s nemesis

Rob Zombie’s Great American Nightmare Also Coming to Chicago

gan-IMG_1409

July 25, 2014 — Rob Zombie’s Great American Nightmare has announced a second engagement for 2014. The ultimate Halloween horror event will invade the Chicago metropolitan area select nights from September 26November 1 at Odeum Expo in Villa Park, IL.

Opening night will also feature a special one-night-only concert with groundbreaking musician and filmmaker Rob Zombie.

“I am thrilled to be able to expand the Great American Nightmare to TWO new cities this year,” said Zombie. My only goal is to make it twice as sick as last year.”

The Great American Nightmare’s second city will feature three attractions based on Zombie’s own horror films: The Lords Of Salem In Total Black Out, The Haunted World Of El Superbeasto 3D, and Haunt Of 1,000 Corpses. These attractions were first seen at the 2013 GreatAmerican Nightmare debut in Pomona, California and have been improved and enhanced based on visitor feedback.

The fully immersive haunted house experience at Rob Zombie’s Great American Nightmare will include the Bloody Boulevard with freak shows, musical entertainment, roaming characters, themed food and beverages, games and vendors each night.

”After the tremendous success last year we all felt we wanted to bring Great American Nightmare to as many people as possible,” says Great American Nightmare producer Steve Kopelman. “Chicago is a haunted house hotbed with the Odeum Expo center being the go-to haunted house venue for the past two decades. We really feel the Midwest will welcome this event with open arms and this will be the ultimate Chicagoland Halloween event.”

As previously announced, Rob Zombie’s Great American Nightmare will also make its debut at WestWorld Of Scottsdale in Arizona for select nights from September 19November 1. This engagement will feature the following three attractions–two that have never been seen before–based on Rob Zombie’s horror films: The Lords Of Salem In Total Black Out, Captain Spaulding’s Clown School In 3D, and The Devil’s Rejects.

At Rob Zombie’s Great American Nightmare, patrons will sequentially enter three different attractions, each completely different in look, theme and effects:

The Lords Of Salem In Total Black Out: This harrowing attraction–based on Zombie’s 2012 The Lords Of Salem independent horror film–is designed to twist the mind. It will accentuate some senses while limiting others. Fear of the dark, claustrophobia, and fear of the unknown will be preyed on as the visitor attempts to traverse this sixty-degree maze.

The Haunted World Of El Superbeasto 3D: Utilizing Chromadepth glasses, this innovative attraction will take the patron right into the middle of the irreverent world of Rob Zombie’s El Superbeasto 2009 animated exploitation musical horror comedy film based on the comic book series of the same name. The attraction’s unique surprise entrance, brilliant colors, sudden chills and startling thrills, and salacious humor will make patrons scream with fright and laughter.

Haunt Of 1,000 Corpses: This terrifying attraction pays homage to the exploitation horror film House Of 1,000 Corpses, directed by Rob Zombie. The extreme, traditional haunted house will take visitors on a walking journey through a recreation of the film’s “Museum of Monsters & Madmen” along with an expanded “Murder Ride,” confronting notorious serial killers along the way. This high impact, highly detailed attraction will use state of the art animatronics, video effects, costuming, sound, scents and lights.

Tickets for Rob Zombie’s Great American Nightmare go on sale Wednesday, July 30 at 10:00 AM CT at www.GreatAmericanNightmare.com, with prices starting at only $25 for September 27-November 1. Each ticket includes access to all haunted house attractions and the Bloody Boulevard activities.

Tickets for opening night (September 26) include the Rob Zombie   concert and will be available starting at only $45. A limited number of VIP packages will also be available for purchase at www.GreatAmericanNightmare.com. All VIP packages include a commemorative t-shirt and quicker access to the haunted attractions than general admission. Some packages also include a designated viewing area for the concert.

  • September: 26, 27
  • October: 3, 4, 10, 11, 12, 16, 17, 18, 19, 23, 24, 25, 26, 30, 31
