Street Fighter 6 Year 4 Cuts Loose with Yasmine Arriving Today

Today, Yasmine becomes the first Filipino martial artist to join the Street Fighter™ roster with her arrival in Street Fighter™ 6 Year 4 across PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch™ 2. Yasmine learned the art of Eskrima alongside her Kuya (older brother) under the guidance of her Lolo (grandfather). Dice up the competition with her Karambit knife in Fighting Ground and the Battle Hub, as Yasmine sets out to find her missing brother.

Yasmine is available now for players who own or purchase the Year 4 Character Pass or Year 4 Ultimate Pass. Yasmine’s Outfit 1 showcases her in Eskrima combat attire, while Outfit 2 depicts Yasmine in her school uniform between bouts. Outfit 2 can be unlocked by maxing out her Acquisition Gauge in Avatar Arcade Mode or with Fighter Coins.

As seen in her gameplay trailer, Yasmine favors high-speed combat techniques that chip away at opponents using precise cuts. Her aggressive and often acrobatic style gives her plenty of options for chasing down opponents or extending her combos. Successfully executing her moves places Yasmine in an amped state known as Bayani Mode.

Yasmine is the first character to be released from the Year 4 roster including Arjun, Tifa from the FINAL FANTASY VII Remake Series, and Bosch. Yasmine’s release coincides with Battle Balance adjustments for the entire Street Fighter 6 roster, so check out the Battle Change List to see what’s new. On August 7, The Way of the Oni × The Way of the Fist collaboration event begins where all players who log in during the event will receive special colors, and the Battle Hub will get an Onimusha™-inspired makeover.

We’ll also be running a special Street Voter to commemorate the event. This time, the theme is “Your Favorite Genma”! Obtain additional votes to earn Genma stickers and camera frames!

Stoneguard Official Launch Day Trailer

Solo developer ThornSpire Games has launched their medieval sci-fi strategy game Stoneguard today on Steam Early Access for $6.99 with 15% discount available through August 6th. Take a look at Stoneguard in the newly released launch trailer.

Stoneguard combines the open-ended sandbox gameplay of a survival sim with the tactics of a strategy game where players must defend their precious Lifestone either solo or in teams with up to four player co-op from an onslaught of invaders. Build and manage a fortified settlement by day, then defend it by night against relentless waves of monstrous enemies. Craft walls, towers, and defenses, recruit survivors, and manage resources to keep your community alive in a world on the brink of collapse. Players can experience Stoneguard solo or team up in co-op with up to four players, coordinating strategies and sharing resources to protect the Lifestone together.

Rather than offering a god’s eye view of the landscape, players take on the role of the current Ruler of Earth, who has escaped the capital with the Lifestone to protect it from alien invaders. Combat is brutal and tactical where precise weapon strikes can sever limbs, permanently affecting enemies and comrades alike. Forge powerful weapons from the amputated limbs of your fallen foes. Every lost limb carries severe consequences, hindering your performance in both battle and daily survival. But as long as the Lifestone is protected, there are ways to heal your battle wounds.

Command your forces through escalating nighttime assaults, face powerful bosses, and craft weapons forged from fallen monsters. Experience a unique blend of base-building, resource management, and real-time combat from a third-person perspective, shaped by a dynamic day–night cycle.

Stoneguard will remain in active development, with player feedback critical in influencing its road to completion.

“We love strategy defense games and immersive sandbox survival games,” said husband and wife duo William and Honor Hasketton from ThornSpire Games. “Stoneguard combines both into something fresh and tactical. As the Ruler of Earth, you’ll manage your settlement and your recruited survivors to keep the precious Lifestone from being stolen each night. Since it’s coming to Early Access, your feedback will be instrumental in helping us improve Stoneguard as we aim for 1.0.”

Set aboard a mysterious derelict cruise liner teetering on the edge of ruin, players must survive unspeakable horrors as they search for a means of escape. SENARA: The Sacrament puts players in the role of a new recruit of a religious organization with a massive 6,000-ton ship: the Senara. Hidden cult rituals, forbidden truths, and survivors with their own agendas await you in the darkness. In a place where blind faith and salvation intertwine, you’ll be forced to make choices that go far beyond survival.

Hearkening back to classic survival horror design, SENARA: The Sacrament offers a massive escape room where you must solve puzzles and use limited resources to your advantage if you’re to get out alive. Welcome to Nuevo Tokyo, a chaotic feudal regime forged when Mexico’s Narcos and Japan’s Yakuza merged into a new ruling class: the Narkuzas. They are now the law, and the law sucks culo. On the outskirts of the city a group of rebels is plotting against the five heads of the Narkuza clan. Enter the Mexican Ninja.

Each run unlocks new ninja skills as you train with El Mero Mero Sensei, gain the favor of Mexican-Japanese spirits and wield their powers. Unleash Mexican Jutsus, experiment with builds and combos and swagger it up with hidden apparel. It is not enough to fight the Narkuza, you need to look good doing it to inspire an uprising. Viva la revolución.

Mexican Ninja has always been a vibe, a spirit, a way of being and now players everywhere can find their inner donkey,”

The Expanse: Osiris Reborn Details Unique Weapons-Driven Approach

In the merciless world of The Expanse, how well one adapts can be the difference between life and brutal death. Traditional RPGs often have the drawback of locking players into fixed classes, often not being flexible enough to stray too far from specific playstyles. For The Expanse: Osiris Reborn, the team at Owlcat Games opted to take a different approach: instead of choosing a fixed role, playstyles are developed across four skill trees, with the weapons and gadgets equipped and upgraded ultimately defining player combat.

The progression system was designed to encourage player creativity and experimentation. Players start by picking one specialization as a foundation, but can add completely different skills chosen from the four skill trees: Marksmanship, Gadgets, Survivalist, and Leader, to mix and match and create their own playstyle. Furthermore, gear evolves with the players: once an interesting weapon or gadget is acquired, players can enhance it along several upgrade paths to make it wholly their own. Some rare upgrades can even completely change the way a weapon works. Developing gear to complement playstyle is absolutely crucial and an integral part of the progression system.

The progression system works similarly for the companions: While they are experts in their own fields and Teo is a doctor, damnit, not a sniper, players can still choose between different specializations and gadget upgrades within their field of expertise.

More details about the progression system can be found in the latest blog post here.

The Expanse: Osiris Reborn will launch on Steam, Epic Games Store, GOG, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5 in spring 2027. Fans can wishlist the game now.
