Strange Things Season 3 Original Score Out Now

June 28, 2019: Lakeshore Records and Invada Records have released the Stranger Things 3—Original Score from the Netflix Original Series featuring music by Emmy-winning and two-time Grammy-nominated composers Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein, digitally on June 28. Half of the Austin band S U R V I V E, Dixon and Stein have been on board with the series since the first season creating strikingly dynamic music that has become a trademark of the show. In Season 3 evil has not ended, it has evolved and the duo has evolved with it as they continue to explore new sonic territory and instrumentation, such as the pop sensibilities and melancholic undertones of 50’s doo-wop, that go beyond the 80’s & 90’s R&B inflections of past seasons. They also return to familiar themes that are elevated by bold stylized reworkings that reflect the growth of the characters and intensity of the new storyline. Lakeshore Records and Invada Records will release the album digitally worldwide on June 28 with CD and vinyl versions forthcoming. Stranger Things 3 will debut on Netflix on July 4.

It’s 1985 in Hawkins, Indiana, and summer’s heating up. School’s out, there’s a brand-new mall in town, and the Hawkins crew are on the cusp of adulthood. Romance blossoms and complicates the group’s dynamic, and they’ll have to figure out how to grow up without growing apart. Meanwhile, danger looms. When the town’s threatened by enemies old and new, Eleven and her friends are reminded that evil never ends; it evolves. Now they’ll have to band together to survive, and remember that friendship is always stronger than fear.

The Big Bang Theory Set is WB Studio Tour’s Latest Addition

On Thursday, June 27th we were welcomed to a reception at the Warner Bros Studio lot to celebrate the addition of The Big Bang Theory to the Studio Tour. In attendance were actors Wil Wheaton (Wil Wheaton) and Brian Thomas Smith (Zack Johnson), show creator Chuck Lorre, and Executive Producers Steve Holland and Steven Molaro.

Fans taking the Studio Tour will be able to knock on Penny’s door, visit Sheldon and Leonard’s living room, and even sit in Sheldon’s coveted spot. The Big Bang Theory set is a permanent addition to the tour and joins the Stage 25, now renamed the Big Bang Theory Stage, in honoring the twelve season run of the smash-hit show.

“We are thrilled to invite fans of The Big Bang Theory to step into these iconic sets from such a beloved show,” said Gary Soloff, Director of Marketing, WBSTH. “There is nothing like being in the very spot that legendary film and TV shows were created and seeing authentic sets up close and personal. Her Universe Fashion Show 2019 Comes to San Diego Comic Con

June 27, 2019 – The 6th annual Her Universe Fashion Show returns to San Diego Comic-Con International (SDCC). Critically acclaimed as one of the must-see events at SDCC, 24 designers will compete with their original geek couture designs to win the ultimate prize – the opportunity to collaborate with actress and Her Universe founder Ashley Eckstein (voice of Ahsoka Tano, Star Wars) on a Her Universe fashion collection for Hot Topic. Presented by Her Universe, Hot Topic and DreamWorks Animation’s She-Ra and the Princesses of Power, this year’s highly anticipated show will be held on Thursday, July 18 at 6PM in the Harbor Ballroom of the Manchester Grand Hyatt Hotel.

Hosted by Ashley Eckstein, the theme for this year’s show is “The Power of Fashion.” In the spirit of the critically acclaimed series She-Ra and the Princesses of Power, the designs competing in this year’s show will be inspired by powerful characters, stories and themes. Many surprises are in store but the audience can expect that fashion will make a powerful statement on the runway.

Two winners will be chosen, one by the audience and one by an expert panel of judges. Her Universe and Cartoon Network held a competition for Junior Designers between the ages of 6-17, and the winners will showcase their Steven Universe-inspired designs when they hit the runway. The winners of the Cartoon Network Junior Design Contest will also design a collection with Her Universe for BoxLunch in 2020.

This year’s content sponsor will be The Pop Insider and they will bring everything about the Fashion Show and pop culture news to one place. Espionage Cosmetics, leading nerd makeup company and self-proclaimed “nerd misfits,” will return as the hair and makeup sponsor to create the looks for the Her Universe runway models.

June 27, 2019 – New heroes arrive in two upcoming LEGO Overwatch sets, Wrecking Ball ($19.99), piloted by fan favorite Hammond the hamster, and Junkrat & Roadhog ($49.99), inspired by the Junkertown map, which will be seen for the first time at the Blizzard Entertainment booth (#140) at San Diego Comic-Con before they are available in October this year.

Knott’s Berry Farm to Celebrate National Fried Chicken Day

June 27, 2019 – Knott’s Berry Farm had a very distinct start; it is THE only theme park that was born from food. Before the many attractions and rollercoasters were installed, the Knott family began a small business by selling berries and fried chicken to Buena Park locals.

The history of Mrs. Knott’s Chicken Dinner Restaurant started in June 1934 when Cordelia Knott served the first fried chicken dinner meal for 65 cents each on the land that is today known as Knott’s Berry Farm. To make ends meet during the Great Depression, Cordelia served these chicken dinners on her best wedding china. The success of the chicken dinners was immediate, and by 1940, visitors were standing in line for hours to try Cordelia’s famous fried chicken.

Mrs. Knott’s signature fried chicken dinner meal continues to be served with its family-style dining that includes deliciously herb-seasoned fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, tossed green salad, cherry rhubarb, kernel corn, freshly-made buttermilk biscuits with butter and boysenberry preserve; and a slice of Mrs. Knott’s scrumptious boysenberry pie for dessert. Each meal is freshly prepared by the Knott’s culinary team with the freshest ingredients. Today the kitchen serves an average of 1,000 chicken meals per day and serves a grand total of 1.5 million guests per year.

For National Fried Chicken Day, Knott’s invites guests to Mrs. Knott’s Chicken Dinner Restaurant for the opportunity to savor the tastiest fried chicken this side of the west. Mrs. Knott’s Chicken Dinner Restaurant and Knott’s Chicken-To-Go are offering a special 10% discount with the order of Mrs. Knott’s famous fried chicken exclusively on July 6th (not to be combined with any other offer or discounts).
