Prep & Landing: The Snowball Protocol Announced

Unwrap the ultimate holiday event this season with the return of fan-favorite elves in “Prep & Landing: The Snowball Protocol,” a brand-new Christmas special that will reach families everywhere across Disney+, Disney Channel, ABC and Freeform. Debuting Thanksgiving, Nov. 27, on Disney Channel at 7:00 p.m. EST/PST, and available the next day on Disney+, later in the season the elves will make their way to ABC and then to Freeform’s iconic “25 Days of Christmas” holiday programming event, making it the must-watch family event of the holidays.

Marking the franchise’s return after more than a decade, “Prep & Landing: The Snowball Protocol” is the fourth installment in a series of popular animated holiday specials featuring Christmas elves from an elite organization tasked with preparing homes worldwide for Santa’s arrival. The new special follows Christmas elves Lanny and Wayne, whose holiday mission goes awry, leaving Wayne convinced he’s in major trouble with Santa and accidentally revealing other merry mishaps. Magee, the North Pole Christmas Eve Command Center Coordinator and lover of eggnog lattes, brings along her pet arctic seal pup Nog to the office — kicking off endless hijinks.

Original voice cast reuniting for the special include Dave Foley as Wayne, a world-weary but dedicated Prep & Landing elf, alongside Sarah Chalke as Magee, the ambitious and eggnog latte-obsessed Command Center Coordinator, and Derek Richardson as Lanny, Wayne’s loyal friend and ever-agreeable partner. They will be joined by new cast members Manny Jacinto as Renato, the most sought-after massage therapist and holistic healer in the North Pole; Dulcé Sloan as Janice, a clerk at the North Pole Post Office; and Danny Pudi as Chef Geoff, the master chef at the Fruitcake Factory. Rounding out the cast is Christopher Swindle as The Big Guy, a.k.a. Santa.

Kevin Deters and Stevie Wermers-Skelton return to their roles as executive producers, and Colleen Evanson is co-producer and story editor. “Prep & Landing: The Snowball Protocol” is produced by Disney Television Animation, part of Disney Branded Television.

Disney Branded Television also revealed a first look at the special with a teaser trailer and key art featuring Nog (short for Commodore Charles Eggnogginton III), an irresistibly cute seal pup who becomes a part of the elves’ hijinks and adventures.

Previous specials “Prep & Landing” (2009), “Prep & Landing: Operation: Secret Santa” (2010), and “Prep & Landing: Naughty vs. Nice” (2011) are currently available to stream on Disney+. Toddland will be launching a limited-edition merchandise collection inspired by the new holiday special.

The soundtrack for “TRON: Ares,” the third installment of Disney’s groundbreaking “TRON” franchise releasing in U.S. theaters Oct. 10, stands among Nine Inch Nails’ most compelling albums as analog soul and digital dread collide. CULTIC Launches Chapter Two Expansion DLC Today

The Overwhelmingly Positive-rated retro horror-shooter CULTIC, developed by Jasozz Games and published by Saber Interactive’s 3D Realms label, has today launched its Chapter Two story expansion DLC, available now on Steam for $9.99 USD / €9.75 EUR / £8.50 GBP!

Awakening in the cold, dark morgue beneath the besieged police station, you find yourself in the middle of a cult-controlled New Grandewel, with corpses littering the streets, flames billowing from the windows of torched buildings, and cultists infesting every inch of the city you once protected. Fight your way through all-new maps in Chapter Two – a full expansion campaign boasting larger, more detailed maps, new weapons and enemies, and more secrets and surprises to discover.

Chapter Two continues and concludes the story from Chapter One, and players can expect more of CULTIC’s intense, gritty, open-ended combat, enhanced with new mechanics and refinements. CULTIC’s signature weapon arsenal returns, with the inclusion of Interlude’s Revolver and SASG, which players can freely alternate with the lever-action and sawed-off. The revamped Dodge system, along with the new Tackle mechanic, allows players to get up close and play aggressively, quickly zipping out of harm’s way or using that burst of speed to slam into enemies, stunning them and interrupting their attacks for some much-needed breathing room to reload and strike back.

Players can also utilize new “temporary weapons” such as the mounted machinegun or bazooka to dish out massive damage, adding to the roster of ways the player can weaponize the environment against their foes. Tower Shields have also received a significant overhaul, allowing them to be carried around the map much more easily, planted in the ground for temporary cover, used to run-and-gun with one-handed weapons, or launched into an enemy’s face with a well-timed kick or tackle.

To give players even more ways to enjoy these combat enhancements, Chapter Two includes three new Survival Maps, as well, featuring some of the best arenas from the new chapter to test your skills and fight against waves of enemies, including the new additions to the cult’s roster!

On top of these gameplay improvements, the game has received a significant amount of optimizations which not only allow for even larger, more densely populated maps with more detailed lighting, but also improve performance for existing maps, as well. These adjustments are all retroactive to Chapter One, as the “2.0 Update” is now also available, allowing all CULTIC players to enjoy these optimizations and gameplay updates even if they haven’t picked up the DLC yet. Chapter One has also received a full polishing pass, as well as an overhaul of some of the visuals and decor on the maps.

Campaign 4 will premiere with instant access on Beacon.tv as well as streamed to Critical Role’s YouTube and Twitch channels on October 2, with the VOD available for everyone the following Monday and podcast episodes available in two parts: the first one week after the premiere, and the second on the following Tuesday. Beacon members will also get exclusive access to all episodes of Critical Role Cooldown for Campaign 4, where the cameras keep rolling and you get a front row seat to the cast’s post-show reactions.
