Daymare: 1998 Meet Sam Story Trailer

August 14, 2019 – Daymare: 1998 recreates the atmosphere of the most beloved works from the end of the millennium and places you in the middle of a familiar yet fresh story. The plot unfolds through the eyes of multiple characters, putting players in the shoes of different personalities that will guide them through their theories and doubts about the situation. Thanks to backtracking, ammo management, collectible lore items, environmental puzzles, and the overall level of difficulty, players can rewind a couple of decades to where, in their first real daymare, they will be chilled to the bone.

The nightmare lives in the Release Date Announcement Trailer of Daymare: 1998. Check it out here and meet Sam, the second of three main characters in the game.

Unlike Liev, who was introduced in the previous trailer, Sam is what you’d call “a regular guy”. He likes his neighbors and has no personal aspirations to attain riches or fame. But he is reliable and does what needs to be done. Sam’s also a respected citizen of Keen Sight, partially a result of his job as Forest Ranger. Although, there is a limit to how much credit you can take for staring off into the horizon and strolling through the woods to make sure the trees are still standing.

Nevertheless, Sam’s a loving husband who adores his wife. If it weren’t for his condition and his need to manage it with pills, he’d probably be the happiest guy on Earth. But that isn’t what he was meant to be. Not after he crosses paths with H.A.D.E.S. Sam was meant for something more. Not for himself, not even for the woman he loves, but for the whole city of Keen Sight.

Invader Studios, Destructive Creations and All in! Games are three partners in crime that have the horrifying pleasure of bringing Daymare: 1998 to your PCs. Take a look at the FREE, all-new demo on Steam (https://store.steampowered.com/app/842100/Daymare_1998/) and catch a glimpse of what’s lurking in a seemingly inconspicuous little town, overrun by terrifying creatures that once inhabited the area as ordinary people.

Neverwinter: Uprising Official Launch Trailer

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. – August 13, 2019 – Today, Perfect World Entertainment Inc., a leading publisher of live service games, and Cryptic Studios announced Neverwinter: Uprising is now available on PC; launching for consoles on October 1. Gith have arrived in the free-to-play MMORPG set in the Forgotten Realms as an all-new playable race, their eternal conflict with the illithid spilling into the caverns of Undermountain. Halaster Blackcloak demands retribution from the adventurers who have occupied his domain culminating in an all-new 10-player End Game Trial, new PvP content including gear and a map, a fresh “coat of paint” on Protector’s Enclave, recrafted Early Game experience and much more.

Illithid, aka Mind Flayers, have subjugated the gith for eons, treating them as slaves and converting them to otherworldly creatures against their will. Players join the conflict as it erupts in Halaster Blackcloak’s domain, drawing his malice. Along this path to a wild and explosive battle of wills against the Mad Mage, players explore deeper into Undermountain than before, leading to a magic portal that transports adventurers to the gith base of Stardock on asteroid above Toril. Back in Protector’s Enclave, the untold wealth adventurers have earned in Undermountain results in renovations for both the heart of Neverwinter and the Early Game experience. Learn more about the changes coming with Neverwinter: Uprising below:

  • All-New Gith Race – Become the rebellion! The new race of psionic warriors is available to VIP members the first two weeks following Uprising’s launch and to all PC players for the following two weeks. This cycle will repeat on console only when Uprising launches on October 1.

  • Uprising Storyline – Engage the illitihid in a struggle that will take adventurers from the depths of Undermountain to a secret gith asteroid base in orbit above Toril.

  • Tower of the Mad Mage Trial – Enter Halaster Blackcloak’s private library to match wits and powers in an all-new, Endgame 10-Player Trial.

  • Protector’s Enclave & Early Game Zone Revamp – Adventurers returning from their questing to the south may notice some changes to the heart of Neverwinter. Explore a remodeled Protector’s Enclave and experience adjustments to early zones and stories, which make starting a fresh character more enjoyable.

  • Appearance System Overhaul – An evolution of the transmutation, dye and fashion systems, the newly improved Appearance tab allows adventurers to define the look of each slot in their inventory. Use dyes to unlock reusable colors, allowing for permanent mixing-and-matching of gear appearance and accents to truly define the look of each character.

  • New PvP Content – Enjoy a new map, Stardock Arena, and fresh rewards for your battle efforts as the development team continues to evolve the PvP experience following class overhauls in Undermountain.

Rooster Teeth Games Vicious Circle Launch Trailer

AUSTIN, TX — Aug. 13, 2019 — Rooster Teeth Games has announced that Vicious Circle, the fast-paced uncooperative multiplayer shooter in which four mercenaries compete for loot against a terrifying monster — and each other — is now available on Windows PC via Steam for $19.99. This over-the-top comic- and sci-fi-inspired game features the voice talent of some of Rooster Teeth’s most notable personalities and will be updated with new mercs, monsters, maps, modes, gadgets, skins, events and more with free Seasonal Battle Passes in the coming months.

In each round of Vicious Circle, one player is selected to become a massive, unstoppable creature with a simple goal: kill all four mercenaries. Mercs can team up to survive and are formidable when working together, so use your powerful abilities to pick them off one by one. If a merc goes down, they’re not necessarily out: dead mercenaries spawn creepy beings called Little Dippers that let players possess the bodies of other mercs, giving them another chance at victory.

Only one player can make it out with the loot, so the key to success in Vicious Circle is playing dirty whenever you can. Use your gadgets and the environment to mess with your adversaries: lock doors to slow them down, trap them in rooms with the monster, and suck loot out from under them. Do you join forces against the monster hunting you down, or sneak away to gain the upper hand while everyone is busy? The choice is yours, but remember — what goes around comes around!

On Friday, August 16, from 3PM – 9PM CDT, Rooster Teeth will host the Vicious Summer livestream event on RoosterTeeth.com and YouTube.com/LetsPlay to celebrate Vicious Circle’s release. Vicious Summer is six hours of live gaming shenanigans and comedy featuring a variety of online gaming talent separated into five teams to compete against each other Olympics-style. Competitions include playing Vicious Circle, an eating competition, Bob “Sauce” Ross challenge, Vicious Beer Pong, and other fun, outdoor summer games. Think Double Dare meets Guts, with just a little Reservoir Dogs… plus video games.

Session Steam Early Access Trailer

MONTREAL – Aug. 13, 2019 – creā-ture Studios’ announced today the skateboarding game Session will be released on PC via Steam Early Access on Sept. 17, 2019. The Xbox One version will follow a few weeks after on Xbox Game Preview. The final game is expected to officially launch in early 2020.

Inspired by the golden era of skateboarding (the early ’90s through the early 2000s), Session lets players experience what skateboarding is really like — an incredible culture where there are no goals other than expressing your creativity and achieving success through hard work, perseverance and a bit of madness. This is the most authentic and grounded skateboarding game yet: Session is a conscious move away from arcade-style skateboarding games. This is no place for button-mashers!

The PC early access version of Session will include true stance-stick controls: each “stick” controls one foot to replicate real skating while highlighting the difficulty of “switch” tricks. The skateable environment is a 1:1 scale of New York focused on lower Manhattan, featuring the legendary Brooklyn Banks and surrounding Financial District. Players will hit many of the iconic spots that helped shape what street skating is today. The game will also feature an extended video editor that allows players to create trick montages in-game and share them. Creating skate videos has always been an essential part of skate culture, and creā-ture has made sure the production matches the period-specific, VHS-style visual aesthetic.

A lot more information will be shared about Session in the coming months, so be sure to follow creā-ture on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.

Frostpunk Console Announcement Trailer

Warsaw, Poland – August 13th, 2019 — Critically acclaimed Frostpunk – the latest game in the 11 bit studios portfolio – will be launching on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on October 11th.

Frostpunk, a grim society-simulator and city-builder in which players struggle against the frozen post-apocalyptic landscape as the ruler of the last city on Earth, garnered high praise among PC-users. Now players can experience the unique gameplay, make thoughtful decisions, and follow a powerful narrative on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 this fall

“From day one we knew we wanted to bring Frostpunk to consoles. At the same time, we didn’t want it to be just a port. We wanted Frostpunk to feel like a native console experience, so we redesigned pretty much every game element to work intuitively with a gamepad. Among the new, console-specific UI changes we have an express menu for quick access to most common building actions, easy to use choice-wheels, top-down view for precise building placement, upscaled icons, and much more. We truly believe it will become a new benchmark for the genre on Xbox One and PlayStation 4,” says Frostpunk Senior Lead Designer, Jakub Stokalski.

Frostpunk: Console Edition will be available from October 11th digitally on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 at 29.99 USD/EUR.

The physical console version from Merge Games will debut on October 18th in Europe and October 22nd in the US for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 priced at 34.99 USD/34.99 EUR/29.99 GBP.
