Mutant Football League 2 Gets Spooky New Trailer

Today, during DreadXP’s Indie Horror Showcase, indie developer Digital Dreams Entertainment released a new trailer for its over-the-top “NFL Blitz Meets Evil Dead” mashup Mutant Football League 2, which launches on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on December 10, 2025.

This is not your parents’ football game or a bloated simulation that chases realism at the expense of fun. Mutant Football League 2 is a brutal, darkly comedic 8-on-8 arcade-style action-packed football game. Teams of Mutated Super-Humans, Monstrous Orcs, Skeletal Deadheads, and Armored BruiserBots are pit against each other in fantastical arenas packed with deadly traps and sinister hazards like buzzsaws and giant mutant worms.

This “anti-Madden” blends the pick-up-and-play accessibility of arcade sports games with strategic depth and a buttload of monstrous mayhem. Referees don’t just blow calls — they get blown up. Players don’t just fumble — they explode into limbs and pink mist.

Available now in Steam Early Access and soon Xbox Game Preview, Mutant Football League 2’s Dynasty Supreme update adds a brand new game mode, five new parody teams, the ability to choose the Mayhem Bowl arena in the Mayhem Bowl game mode, and more. A full list of patch notes can be found here.

Mutant Football League 2 Key Features:

  • Bloody Sunday! Sunday! Sunday!: Brace yourself for exploding body parts, comically horrific deaths, and blood splatters that paint the field red. Whether getting blitzed by a rampaging monster or succumbing to a trap-laden end zone, every game is a symphony of unpredictable chaos. Dirty Trick plays even allow teams to commit banable atrocities; those poor refs… Nothing and no one is safe.
  • Monster Squad: Choose from over 36 MFL teams composed of maniacal mutant versions of pro football superstars — 32 pro-league teams like the Karcass City Creeps, Killadelphia Evils, and Blitzburgh Steelheads, and 4 minor league teams like the Orcs of Hazards and Tokyo Terminators. MFL player cards also unlock historic players who can be signed in Free Agency; so, if you’d prefer to be a special snowflake, you can create an original team and craft a legacy of your own.
  • Mutantmaxxing: Evolve your mutant monstrosities to unlock new armor sets, mutations, and weapons such as chainsaws, shotguns, and more. Hell, you can even use SkillRoid Boosts to give your players special abilities during a game. We ain’t natty out here.
  • Doom Field Designer: Design your team’s arena, strategically placing lethal hazards and manipulating the weather — buzz saws to trim the competition, fire geysers to turn up the heat, or drop a blizzard on those fools. Make your stadium into the kind of place where only your team loves to play, and everyone else just prays to survive.
  • Dynasty Supreme: Become the ringleader of the freakshow in MFL2’s franchise mode. Start at the bottom of the league and claw to the top, turning pro by beating the competition across several seasons and winning Mayhem Bowls. Draft rookies every season and train them up to build a powerful roster.
  • The Voice of the MFL: Tim Kitzrow, the iconic voice of your favorite sports franchises — NBA JamNFL BlitzNHL Hitz, and MLB Slugfest — commentates MFL2, reciting plays and talking all kinds of smack. BOOMSHAKALAKA!

’83 Developer Diary Goes Into the Game Maps

Blue Dot Games have just unveiled the latest in their Developer Tapes series showcasing different aspects of ‘83, their upcoming 40v40 squad-based tactical first-person shooter set in an alternate 1983 where the Cold War escalated into an all-out conflict. This latest video offers a sneak peek at its three war-torn maps awaiting players at ‘83’s Early Access launch.

If there was ever a point where World War III was expected to start, it was West Germany’s Fulda Gap. This crucible of modern armoured warfare is where ’83 shows its scale. Soviet forces have launched a massive offensive across this key corridor, backed by tanks and artillery. Rolling hills, fortified towns, dense forests, and exposed plains create a dynamic combat space where NATO forces scramble to hold the line against the relentless Soviet advance.
In the far North a Norwegian Fjord offers a strategically vital flashpoint due to its proximity to Soviet naval bases and the Atlantic sea lanes. While Soviets aim to control sea lanes, project naval power, and cut off NATO reinforcement routes to Western Europe, NATO aims to preemptively lock down this critically contested territory. Gameplay here is defined by verticality and harsh terrain. Mountain passes, fortified bunkers set deep into the rock, and coastal facilities offer diverse tactical opportunities and demand flexibility from both attackers and defenders.

Finally there’s the massive Duga over-the-horizon missile detecting radar, known as the “Woodpecker”. In ‘83 this is a key command-and-control hub, integral to the Soviet early warning network. Gameplay here blends open woodland with dense interior fighting around the radar structures, mixing long sightlines with brutal close-quarters battles. It’s a map that favours stealth, surprise, and sabotage and rewards teams that can coordinate under pressure.

The first two episodes of the superhero workplace comedy are available now, with six more arriving weekly through November. Players can purchase Dispatch once for $29.99 / £24.99 / €28.99, with all future episodes included.

In Dispatch, players step into the life of Robert Robertson, aka Mecha Man, a once-celebrated superhero whose mech suit was destroyed in battle, forcing him into a desk job at the Superhero Dispatch Network. Now, he manages a team of reformed villains, juggling office politics, questionable missions, and the pursuit of justice against his old nemesis.

Dispatch’s characters are voiced by a standout ensemble including Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad), Laura Bailey (The Last of Us Part II), Erin Yvette (The Wolf Among Us), Jeffrey Wright (Westworld), Travis Willingham (The Legend of Vox Machina), Alanah Pearce (Cyberpunk 2077), Matthew Mercer (Critical Role), MoistCr1TiKaL, Jacksepticeye, Lance Cantstopolis, Joel Haver, and THOT SQUAD, a wild mix of actors, comedians, and creators from across games and entertainment.

Developed by former Telltale Games veterans, Dispatch blends sharp writing, emotional player choices, and absurd humor into a cinematic, choice-driven experience. Each episode builds on the last, mixing laugh-out-loud moments with unexpected turns and heart.

“We built Dispatch to be something people can play, watch, and talk about together,” said Nick Herman, Creative Director and co-founder at AdHoc Studio. “Some of our favorite gaming moments come from comparing choices with friends, and we hope this series sparks those same kinds of conversations.”

Structured like a TV series but shaped by player decisions, Dispatch unfolds one episode at a time, encouraging fans to share theories, favorite moments, and chaotic outcomes as the story develops week to week.

The first two episodes of Dispatch are available now on PC (Steam) and PS5, with new episodes dropping every Wednesday through November. Players can purchase the game now, join the conversation on official Discord, and follow AdHoc Studio on Bluesky, X, and Instagram for the latest updates.

Starship Troopers: Extermination – The Federation Needs You Trailer

You’ve done well, Trooper – but the war is far from over. Offworld, in collaboration with publisher Knights Peak, is preparing for new orders to be carried out with the release of a free content update, Echoes of Sparta, for Starship Troopers: Extermination. The latest update takes the game to version 1.7 and brings many new additions, including a new Bug type to exterminate and, for the first time since launch: a brand-new map, set on a massive spaceship.

Highlights of the Echoes of  Sparta 1.7 content update include:

  • New map – Sparta: Get ready for a space-level mission! This time, players will leave the familiarity of previous planet-side maps behind to exterminate Bugs on a massive spaceship. The mission is simple: take back the ship from the Arachnid menace. On the Sparta, Troopers will be able to deploy into AAS, Horde, Hive Hunt, and SOG Missions.
  • New threat – Scorpion Bug: Troopers, a new enemy has appeared on the battlefield. The highly anticipated Scorpion bug brings with it a menacing array of attacks that will keep even seasoned Troopers on their toes. Can you discover and attack its weak point?
  • New Galactic Front, with a new set of perks
  • Bug fixes and quality of life improvements

With the release of the Echoes of Sparta update, Starship Troopers: Extermination celebrates the first anniversary of its 1.0 launch across all platforms. Over the past 12 months, the community has received seven major updates that introduced free content such as new weapons, new game modes and new threats to face, along with numerous smaller patches with additional gameplay improvements.

During that time, dedicated troopers have eliminated an astonishing 1,259,470,477 bugs, once again proving that service guarantees citizenship. However, this is only the beginning of the war against the Arachnids, with developer Offworld and publisher Knights Peak planning many more surprises in the coming months.

Inspired by the Starship Troopers movie, Starship Troopers: Extermination is an action-packed co-op FPS where players join the Deep Space Vanguard to fight non-stop Arachnid hordes across hostile planets.

Starship Troopers: Extermination launched in Early Access on May 17, 2023 — with its full release following on October 11, 2024. It is available on PC via Steam, Epic Games Store and the Offworld shop, and available on console via PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines 2 Now Available Worldwide

In Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2, players awaken in 2024 Seattle as Phyre, an Elder vampire who many recognize as the mysterious Nomad, rumored to appear when change is imminent. Phyre must navigate the treacherous politics of the Camarilla Court to reclaim their full vampiric powers. Along the way, Phyre is guided by the voice of Fabien, a Malkavian detective whose fractured perception of reality offers both insight and unease. Six clans are available for Phyre, each with its own distinct playstyles, outfits, and Disciplines: the rebellious Brujah, blood sorcery masters Tremere, justice-driven Banu Haqim, the persuasive Ventrue, the enthralling Toreador, and the shadow masters Lasombra.

Throughout the wintry streets of Seattle, Phyre meets characters who test their trust and shape their path. Leaders of Seattle’s Camarilla Court maintain order and enforce the Masquerade, the absolute law of Kindred society that keeps vampires hidden from humanity. Beyond their influence, the Anarchs and the unbound, fight for survival and independence from the Camarilla’s iron grip. Phyre’s choices among these factions, guided by Fabien’s past, will ultimately define Seattle’s future.

Bloodlines 2 features four difficulty modes—Casual, Easy, Normal, and Hard—balancing narrative focus and combat challenge. Casual eases combat and prioritizes story discovery for players immersed in uncovering the truth behind Seattle. Easy, Normal, and Hard progressively increase combat challenge, requiring mastery of Phyre’s abilities to survive the night.

“To finally launch Bloodlines 2 is a landmark moment for White Wolf and for Vampire: The Masquerade,” said Marco Behrmann, White Wolf Executive Vice President and Bloodlines 2 Executive Producer. “It carries forward the spirit of what came before while standing on its own as something new. The supernatural hunting grounds of Seattle are open to players, feeling both new and familiar in all the right ways. I want to thank the excellent team at The Chinese Room for their vision and dedication in shaping this world of modern horror. They’ve built something atmospheric, intelligent, and true to the dark heart of Vampire: The Masquerade.

“Narrative has always been at the heart of our craft, and in Bloodlines 2, it intertwines seamlessly with the kind of modern, character-driven horror that defines the World of Darkness,” explained Alex Skidmore, Project Creative Director at The Chinese Room. “Seattle is on the brink of an open supernatural war, and as Fabien warns, trouble comes in pairs. This project marks a defining moment in bringing our signature storytelling to a world known for its complexity and moral tension. Phyre and Fabien embody this tension as an unlikely duo who attract trouble at every turn while uncovering the city’s darkest mysteries.”

Bloodlines 2 is scored by lead composers Craig Stuart Garfinkle and Eímear Noone, whose haunting, ambient soundscapes heighten the dark and mysterious corners of Seattle. New music by composer Rik Schaffer, whose score for Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines helped defined the game’s atmosphere, complements the soundtrack. The voice cast includes Hara Yannas and Tommy Sim’aan as Phyre, Ronan Summers as Fabien, and others who bring Seattle’s Kindred politics and mortal struggles to life with grounded and masterful performances.

Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 – Loose Cannon and Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 – The Flower & the Flame story packs will launch in 2026 and are available in the Expansion Pass. These Story Packs allow players to explore Seattle through the perspectives of Sheriff Benny Muldoon and Primogen Ysabella Moore, respectively.
