Star Citizen Welcome to Orison Update Trailer

Cloud Imperium Games (CIG) is proud to announce the launch of the Star Citizen — Alpha 3.14: Welcome to Orison update. Available now, the latest update further increases the size and scope of the Star Citizen universe with the introduction of Orison. This brand-new landing zone and headquarters for the Crusader ship manufacturer company is accessible for the first-time to Star Citizen players. Set amongst the clouds of the giant gas planet Crusader, this gigantic floating city represents the final and most impressive landing zone created for the Stanton System. In addition, pilots can look forward to a wide array of new gameplay systems offering even more control over their ship’s performance during combat. These improvements to ship-to-ship combat systems will also play a critical role in the rollout of Dynamic Events such as the brand-new Ninetails Lockdown and a compelling XenoThreat incursion.

“We are very excited for players to visit and explore the Orison Landing Zone, our very own ‘City in the Clouds,’ marking a major milestone for us as the fourth and final landing zone of Stanton system is delivered — and I couldn’t be more proud of what our teams have accomplished,” said Cloud Imperium co-founder and Star Citizen Creative Director, Chris Roberts. “With the implementation of our volumetric cloud tech, Crusader is now re-imagined as an awe-inspiring, beautiful gas giant just waiting to be visited. Star Citizen has never looked better, but beyond the clouds of Alpha 3.14 – Welcome to Orison there is even more for both new and longtime players to discover in our latest update with major ship combat improvements, new dynamic events, the long-awaited arrival of the fan-favorite Constellation Taurus, and more.”

Star Citizen — Alpha 3.14: Welcome to Orison update key features include:
· Orison Landing Zone: Located in the atmosphere of the giant gas planet Crusader, players can now visit the Orison Landing Zone in the Stanton System. As the headquarters for ship manufacturer Crusader Industries, this floating cloud city allows staff to live, work, and relax with all of the amenities and conveniences expected for the most talented and qualified personnel in the ‘verse. Attractions include the Voyager bar, various new shops and facilities, a garden area, and breathtaking sunset and sunrise views. Players can visit the eye-catching Stormwal sculpture on Orison, an homage to the massive space whales that live in Orison’s clouds, and even purchase a plushie of Crusader Industries’ official mascot, Finley the Stormwal, to commemorate their visit.

· Volumetric Cloud Tech: Thick clouds span the atmosphere of the gas giant Crusader, brought to life with Star Citizen’s stunning new volumetric cloud technology. Admire the view from both afar and up close as you cut through the vaporous walls of mist enclosing the Orison Landing Zone and its surroundings.

· Missile Operator Mode: Missiles now function via operator mode with a new UI, and can also be controlled by co-pilots. Further improvements to missile functionality include selecting from various types of missiles, dumb firing options, and multiple missile firing options. The adoption of the Intelligent Flight Control System aims to make missile behavior and performance even more realistic. These system improvements will have the most impact on ships and vehicles with a focus on missile armaments, including the Freelancer MIS, Esperia Talon Shrike, Tumbril Cyclone MT, and Anvil Ballista.

· Power Management: Pilots will now have unprecedented control over their ship’s performance during combat. Power management allows players to control power allocated to three core ship systems: weapons, shields, and engines. This new feature is designed to give pilots an edge in ship combat when adjusting power to key systems at critical moments to focus on offense, defense, or evasive maneuvers. It also builds off other multi-crew systems, laying the groundwork for scenarios where a co-pilot may need to focus on power management during intense dogfights.

· Radar, Scanning, and Ping: Players can now scan ships for information on cargo, crew, crime stats, and components. In addition, players can now mask their ship’s signature, allowing them to avoid detection from scanners. This introduces new options for scenarios calling for stealth-focused gameplay, transport, and information gathering.

· New Dynamic Event: Ninetails Lockdown is a brand-new player-versus-player focused Dynamic Event that finds a Stanton space station blockaded by the Ninetails pirates. Players must choose to break and repel the pirate blockade, or to join the Ninetails pirates in taking out security forces.

· Improved Dynamic Event: The XenoThreat Dynamic Event returns with numerous improvements based directly on player feedback and input. Join the call to arms as players collectively work to repel invaders from the Pyro System.

· RSI Constellation Taurus: The highly anticipated and long-awaited Constellation Taurus finally arrives in the ‘verse, marking the completion of the line of ships that players affectionately call “the Connie.” The Taurus is the essential ship on a player’s journey to cargo trading domination in Star Citizen. Featuring impressive cargo storage capacity, strong defensive weaponry, and a concealed cargo hold for discreet delivery of valuable goods, the Constellation Taurus marks a step up from smaller cargo haulers such as the Freelancer.

World of Warships Update Update 0.10.7 Trailer

World of Warships, the world’s biggest naval warfare MMO developed and published by Wargaming, has revealed the upcoming Update 0.10.7, packed with new content including the addition of submarines to Ranked Battles, the De Zeven Dockyard, the long-awaited return of the USS Missouri, and a unique collaboration with Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Die Neue These, the Japanese anime series based on the popular science fiction novels.

Submarines Arrive in Ranked
Submarines completely changed the face of real-life naval warfare in the 20th century and are now set to do the same in World of Warships. Players can experience a whole new world beneath the surface by taking control of the deadly submarines, now playable out of testing for the first time. These delicate but stealthy vessels bring a whole new tactical element to the game, as players weigh the pros and cons of the four separate diving levels and try out acoustic homing torpedoes, bolstered by sonar ping mechanics.

Some battleships have been equipped with anti-submarine defense aircraft to blow these vessels out of the water, while many destroyers and some light cruisers can dispatch depth charges to tackle them. Players can test out this new class in more relaxed co-op battles, and then put them to the test in the special upcoming season of Ranked Battles.

Dutch Cruisers: Part Two
Early Access to Dutch Cruisers continues in 0.10.7 with the added ability to construct the Tier VIII ship De Zeven Provinciën at the new Dockyard through 24 shipbuilding phases. In addition, the “Dutch Cruisers: Part 2” special event offers a reward of a commemorative flag and Klaas Jenssen, a Dutch commander with enhanced skills, when a chain of combat missions is completed.

Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Die Neue These
This update marks our first collaboration with Japanese anime series based on the science fiction novels of the same name “Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Die Neue These”©, which have a profound story and an overwhelming scale. Accompanied by a newly recorded custom voice for the new commanders, players will be able to take charge of their fleet with the commanders, Reinhard von Lohengramm from the Galactic Empire, or Yang Wen-li from the Free Planets Alliance and more. New camouflages also will allow players to pick their side by coating their ship in the colours of these two factions. More details will be revealed soon.

The Return of the Missouri
The USS Missouri will soon return to the waves, now sat at an equal economic level with other Premium Tier IX ships. With this update, the iconic vessel that ended World War II will be available for purchase in exchange for Doubloons.

Pistol Whip’s Smoke & Thunder Campaign Launch Date

Cloudhead Games announced today that its critically acclaimed VR rhythm shooter Pistol Whip’s new Western-themed cinematic campaign, “Smoke & Thunder,” is launching on Oculus Quest, PCVR, and PlayStation VR on August 12th. As Pistol Whip’s most noteworthy update ever, “Smoke & Thunder” adds a ton of new content such as a new fully-voiced campaign set in the Wild West, a pulse-pounding star-studded soundtrack, and the game-changing “Styles” system sandbox for endless replayability. The new additions are a free update to existing Pistol Whip owners. New players can purchase the VR title for $24.99 until August 15. After that date, the new Pistol Whip price will be $29.99.

Smoke & Thunder

Cloudhead’s first cinematic campaign, “2089, was a fast forward into the future; their second, “Smoke & Thunder,” is a badass blast to the past—with new weapons, mechanics, a dastardly new outlaw threat, and a mighty fine new boss fight for folks to tangle with.

Featuring tracks from The Heavy, Black Pistol Fire, Bones UK, Devora, and an original never-before-heard track from Magic Sword; this five-scene cinematic campaign is abso-rootin-tutley exploding with exciting new content.

Smoke & Thunder’s campaign mode transforms players into the heroes of an immersive Western adventure, equipping them with brand new weapons and providing a fully-voiced tale of sisters Jessie (Victoria Hogan, Kingdom Come: Deliverance) and Tess (Avalon Penrose, Hades). It’s a visually stunning experience, illustrated with cutscene cinematics created by fan-favourite comic artist and returning talent, Fico Ossio, and colourist Raciel Avila.

Once players have conquered the campaign, they can skedaddle on over to Arcade and check out all the campaign scenes—from both ”Smoke & Thunder” as well as “2089”unbridled for the very first time. In Arcade mode, players can use whatever weapon and modifier they want in endless combinations.

Styles let players create the gameplay THEY want.

Pistol Whip’s new “Styles” system sandbox allows players to combine their preferred weapon type with up to five modifiers to create an unstoppable action experience that’s exactly what they want. After finding a preferred Style that’s uniquely their own, players can challenge friends or compete solo and be the first person to dominate the leaderboard uniquely generated for that “Style’s” choice.

New weapon types also burst onto the scene with the debut of Styles, including Brawler, which transforms the previous No Ammo modifier into a glorious new melee mode. 2089’s Burstfire and the new weapons from “Smoke & Thunder” are also available in all scenes with Styles.

These weapon additions and changes combined with four new modifiers mean the possibilities are endless. From green to grizzled and anywhere in-between, there’s a Style for everyone. Pistol Whip also includes an ever-changing list of recommendations such as Featured Styles, which contain weekly style choices curated by Cloudhead’s own team of developers and players. “Styles” can also be used with all past Pistol Whip updates like the aforementioned “2089” and “Heartbreaker.”

Price Change

Beginning August 15th, the price of Pistol Whip will increase by $5 just a few days after the “Smoke & Thunder” + “Styles” update on August 12 to support the creation of epic content and updates. After August 15th, Pistol Whip will be available for $29.99 on Oculus Quest, PC VR, and PlayStation VR. This price increase will not impact existing owners of Pistol Whip.

Pistol Whip also earned top industry recognition as a GDCA finalist and the winner of Immersive Reality Game of the Year at the 2020 DICE Awards.
