In a unique collaboration between immersive theatre pioneers Les Enfants Terribles and VR trailblazers vrisch, the world’s most famous detective makes his VR debut in Sherlock Holmes: The Case of the Hung Parliament, a live-motion VR deductive adventure for one to four players coming soon for Meta Quest 2 via the Meta Store.

Sherlock Holmes: The Case of the Hung Parliament is a single or multiplayer deductive adventure and the first VR game to feature interactive live-action FMV with professional theatre actors. On your journey, you can interrogate characters and visit locations to scour for clues to unravel the mystery. Play alone or with up to three other players to visit crime scenes all over London, then meet in the ‘Mind Fortress’ to construct a case against your prime suspect. The game challenges you to solve a typically absorbing Holmesian whodunit written by prolific theatre writer Anthony Spargo and Les Enfants Terribles’ Artistic Director Oliver Lansley, whose collective work spans books, tv, theatre and Amazon productions.

Will you solve the baffling case in time? Can you call on your friends for help? And where is Sherlock anyway? The answers are far from elementary.

The current ‘in development’ version of Sherlock Holmes: The Case of the Hung Parliament is currently available to purchase via AppLab and SideQuest. This version is complete and is being used for testing and community feedback for the developers to take onboard ahead of the full launch.

Today, Disney+ announced the highly anticipated Original series “The Muppets Mayhem,” starring Lilly Singh, Tahj Mowry, Saara Chaudry and The Electric Mayhem Band, will premiere with all episodes on Wednesday, May 10. The Disney+ Original series from Disney Branded Television is produced by ABC Signature and The Muppets Studio.

“The Muppets Mayhem” follows The Electric Mayhem Band — Dr. Teeth on vocals and keyboards, Animal on drums, Floyd Pepper on vocals and bass, Janice on vocals and lead guitar, Zoot on saxophone and Lips on trumpet — on an epic, music-filled journey to record their first-ever studio album. With the help of a driven young music executive, Nora Singh (Singh), the old-school Muppet band comes face-to-face with the current day music scene as they try to finally record their first studio album.

Indie developer Out of the Blue and publisher Raw Fury have announced that the story-driven puzzle adventure game Call of the Sea VR will release on April 13, 2023, for Meta Quest 2 for $19.99. Set in the far reaches of the South Pacific in the 1930s, this BAFTA-nominated tale of mystery and self-discovery has been redesigned for virtual reality to immerse players in its beautifully crafted environments, which were rebuilt from Unreal Engine 4 to fit Meta Quest 2 capabilities. Fulqrum Publishing and Terminist Arcade today announce that the gloriously violent, old-school shooter HYPERVIOLENT will launch into PC Early Access on April 6 via Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG.com.

Inspired by classic sprite-based 3D games from the 90s, HYPERVIOLENT sees players stranded on Commodus Asteroid 27-C, a remote asteroid-based mining colony clenched in the jaws of violence. Stranded and surrounded by monstrous foes, they must take the violence to the next level, obliterating their foes as they seek an answer to the madness engulfing the colony, and uncover the secrets of the evil hidden deep within the dark, claustrophobic mines of the asteroid.

HYPERVIOLENT features an extensive array of guns and melee weapons that can be dual-wielded in nearly endless combinations. However, players are far from an invincible action hero; careful resource management and a keen eye are paramount to survival, for enemies can – and will – ambush them when they least expect it.

During the Early Access period, HYPERVIOLENT’s single-player campaign will grow, adding segments featuring completely different gameplay experiences, and upon full release, the game will introduce Multiplayer support for up to 30 players alongside a variety of thrilling game modes.
At launch players can experience the first five intensely, atmospheric levels (approximately 4-5 hours of gameplay), and wield 12 weapons as they take on ten varied enemy types and two challenging boss encounters.
