tinyBuild are proud to announce that they will be publishing FEROCIOUS, the upcoming single-player FPS adventure from independent studio OMYOG, coming to PC and consoles soon. After a catastrophic shipwreck, players awaken, marooned on a fog-shrouded and mysterious island. Its shores and jungles teeming with both prehistoric life and a shadowy private army intent on keeping the island’s secrets to themselves. A battle is about to erupt in this forgotten world, and only the fittest will survive. Get your first glimpse of the chaos to come in the gameplay reveal trailer below, first shown during the 2023 PC Gaming Show.
Inspired by classic pulp adventure stories like King Kong and modern tactical shooters such as Crysis, FEROCIOUS plunges players into intense jungle combat. Stalked by deadly predators and well-equipped soldiers alike, it’ll take cool nerves, a steady aim and an arsenal of customizable weapons to come out on top. Mastery of the jungle also reveals new tactical options, including stealth, evasion and even working alongside the native animals. Not everything here wants to take a chunk out of your hide.
Developed using Unity, FEROCIOUS is a testament to what a small independent team can achieve. A rich, detailed environment, textured with a mixture of hand-crafted and photo-sourced assets. The island’s shores are hammered by simulated waves, and the forests are dense with destructible foliage and physics-driven trees just waiting to be split by a hail of gunfire.
While many of the creatures living on the island are lifted straight from paleontology books, not everything here is immediately familiar. In this strange and isolated ecosystem, new creatures have evolved. Face the unknown, and battle for survival when FEROCIOUS launches on PC and consoles. Wishlist the game on Steam now to receive updates on development, and to hear the release date as soon as it’s announced.
Today, renowned indie horror publisher DreadXP burst with joy as it announced at the PC Gaming Show the release date for its puppet-filled survival horror game, My Friendly Neighborhood! This gosh darn spooky game releases on July 18, 2023, for Windows PC, but that’s not all; My Friendly Neighborhood will also release on PlayStation 4|5 and Xbox One and Series S|X at a later date.
Prepare for a charming adventure where felt and fear will consume you.
My Friendly Neighborhood puts you into the work boots of Gordon, a repairman tasked with shutting down the sudden broadcast of a canceled children’s TV show titled The Friendly Neighborhood. Back in the day, the loveable show lit up TV screens and the smiling faces of children all across the world. Fans loved its colorful cast of kooky puppets who took them on educational adventures and delighted them with fun games. But the show’s popularity waned over time, and the studio had to ultimately shut its doors. Now the show’s characters are back on the air for an encore… wait, are they eating each other!?
Featuring a mix of action and adventure, My Friendly Neighborhood is the perfect game for horror fans looking for solid and surprising scares rather than gore. Sure, there might not be any dead bodies, dismemberment, or decapitations, but don’t expect your new puppet pals to stay down for good. They demand hugs — intense, painful hugs.
My Friendly Neighborhood Key Features:
Friends or Foe-zz?: Meet and greet a colorful cast of puppet friends turned adversaries (and maybe turned friends again!)
Follow Directions: Non-linear, survival horror gameplay. Make sure to check your map!
Toys and Stuff: Arm yourself with unique weapons like the Rolodexer. Do you know your ABCs? You better — it’s your ammo
Brain Teasers: Solve an array of puzzles in the vein of the survival horror greats
Lots of Playspace: Experience a multitude of diverse environments, from the “BTS” Ray’s Workshop to Cardboard Crayon Halls
Don’t Be Messy: Enjoy a grid-based real-time inventory, ‘cause that’s just way better
Squanch Games is thrilled to announce the first DLC for its breakout hit High On Life with a new teaser trailer. High On Knife gives Knifey his chance to shine (and stab) on a fully realized new planetary environment loaded with all-new characters, hazards, and spooky surprises. Players will have a chance to check out the mayhem when High On Knife is released later this fall.
“We’ve been humbled and grateful for the fan reaction to High On Life, and we’re excited to continue working within this crazy universe,” says Mike Fridley, Squanch’s Studio Director. “We’re looking forward to incorporating more of a horror-comedy vibe in High On Knife, and we can’t wait to hear what fans think of it when it’s released later this fall.”
High On Knife will introduce a brand-new talking gun character, Harper, voiced by Sarah Sherman (Saturday Night Live). This is just the beginning for High On Knife. Stay tuned for more details on the DLC, new gameplay elements, and more.
“This trailer shows off a portion of the DLC where we’re dropping players into a darker, scarier setting ruled over by a mysterious, goopy new boss named Mux (voiced by Gabourey Sidibe.),” says Mikey Spano, Squanch Games’ Chief Creative Officer. “We’re also introducing two brand new guns: Harper is an ex-military pistol trying to overcome her past (voiced by Sarah Sherman) and B.A.L.L. is a pinball gun operated by a chaotic gaggle of little gibberish-speaking weirdos (“voiced” by Alec Robbins.)
“You’ll need both of them as well as Knifey’s hyper-violent new upgrade to overcome the powerful, two-headed, laser-beam-blasting Bloat that hunts you in the dark. This is just a small slice of the DLC – there’s a ton more weird, funny, and surprising stuff we packed in that we think you’ll love so make sure to stay tuned!”
High On Life, now available on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store; Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One consoles; and with Xbox Game Pass on console, PC, and cloud, has surpassed more than 7.5 million unique players worldwide since its launch in mid-December. High On Life was the top seller on Steam during launch week, the biggest Xbox Game Pass release of 2022, the biggest 3rd party launch in Game Pass history, and the biggest single-player game launch on Game Pass ever.
High On Life follows the misadventures of an unmotivated high-school graduate who becomes Earth’s last hope following an alien invasion. These interstellar invaders are on a constant search for their next intoxicating experience, and, unfortunately, they discover that humans provide an exquisite high. The only solution is to become a bounty hunter, tracking down the kingpins in the alien cartel to stop their horrifying harvest. It makes sense in context, OK?!

Team17 Digital and Rightsized Games have announced roguelike resource management game Undead Inc. at the PC Gaming Show. Coming to PC, Undead Inc. welcomes players to step into the role of managing director of their very own Endswell Medical franchise. Already an established successful and lucrative pharmaceuticals company, players will have to grow the business, keep the money flowing, meet the targets set by an increasingly hungry board of directors … and keep the bodies buried by absolutely any means necessary.
The Director will see you now:
Running a successful corporation requires sacrifice, but as all good CEOs and MDs know, the sacrifice needn’t be their own. As the public-facing arm of Endswell Medical keeps things running above ground (and above board) its nefarious underbelly is where the real transformative and lucrative magic happens. Players will research and develop bioweapons, questionable pharmaceuticals, and dangerous technology for sale to the highest bidder, all while keeping any … situations … literally and figuratively behind closed doors.
Of course, eventually the truth will out, and to continue Endswell Medical’s ambitious growth strategy players will have to uproot their operation, grab armfuls of money, equipment, and other unmentionables on the way out – enough to establish a brand-new corporation in the next town over – and start the cycle anew.
Undead Inc. Key Features
Research above all: The money won’t make itself, and the most lucrative adventures require a less than ethical path: Deadly bioweapons, questionable pharmaceuticals, illegal technology – nothing is off the table
All about the base: Choose from several different biomes to build a base of operations, each with its own opportunities and challenges
The end comes for us all: Eventually, the directors’ crimes will catch up with them, so prepare to flee with as much cash, drugs, and research to fund the next Big Pharma in the next town over
Management is key to success: Hiring the cheapest labour might sound like a good fit, but ultimately, loose lips sink ships – the right person in the right position can spell the difference between success and a bioweapon on the loose
The Director will see you now: Being at the top is tough, and choosing the right director to stand at the helm of the newest Endswell Medical franchise is imperative to success, each on boasts their own special abilities, buffs, back stories, and scenarios … Choose wisely.
Hot on the heels of last week’s Summer Game Fest – which revealed award-winning actor Jason Isaacs in the role of Baldur’s Gate 3’s second major villain – at today’s PC Gaming Show, Larian Studios provided players their first look at the iconic Forgotten Realms city of Baldur’s Gate in decades.
Opening on an image of the sprawling waters of the Chionthar River, in-game footage reveals a fully next-gen reimagining of this iconic fantasy setting while the development team discusses the daunting undertaking of recreating Baldur’s Gate for a modern RPG.
The city of Baldur’s Gate is a metropolis of labyrinthine streets, with alleys, temples, and crowded public houses teeming with life, and stories woven into the lives of every local you encounter.
Baldur’s Gate is back and bigger than ever
“We can put lots more of the city on screen than we could in 1998,” narrative design expert Lawrence Schick explains, “We can do something that is more immersive, richer, has more texture to it.”
The city itself is also bigger than any iteration of this setting that’s come before it. The streets – which span the menacing roads of the Outer City, the opulent estates of the Upper City, and the dark alleys of the Lower City – are populated with a rich cast of characters, each possessing their own untold stories, well-kept secrets, and personal reactions.
“You have crowds that are walking around everywhere. You can talk to pretty much anybody, and they react to every single thing,” says Swen Vincke, creative director at Larian Studios. “It’s very alive in that sense.”
“One of the things that’s done is it’s added this level of believability and immersion and also complexity that wouldn’t have been there otherwise,” adds associate writing lead Chrystal Ding. “It feels like you are walking around a place where there are lots and lots of people living their actual lives.”
Larian originally prototyped Baldur’s Gate as a series of smaller contained regions connected by teleports, but mid-way into developing the city, decided to make some major changes.
“[Swen] said, like, can’t we just connect everything?” reminisces world building director Farhang Namdar. “And that was an interesting day.”
Come launch, players will be stepping foot in a Baldur’s Gate made up of three seamless open world districts. No matter if you’re investigating underground crypts, wandering the chambers of a towering citadel, or descending into hidden cellars, there will be no visible loading screens to interrupt your experience.
“We spent I think three times, four times more effort on the city than we originally planned to, but the result, the feeling of walking in there, is just fantastic,” says Vincke. “So, the thing that I was the most afraid of when we started making this game turned out to be the thing that I’m the most proud of.”
Players can experience the city for themselves when Baldur’s Gate 3 releases on PC & PS5 on August 31, 2023.
CD PROJEKT RED released a new video today covering the latest trailer for Phantom Liberty, the upcoming spy-thriller expansion to Cyberpunk 2077, with keen developer insight into the new adventure’s story and setting.
In the video, Narrative Director of Phantom Liberty Igor Sarzyński, together with Senior Communication Manager Paweł Burza go over key scenes of the trailer as they watch it, discussing the events, characters, and locations presented for the first time during the Xbox Games Showcase, including the real-life and genre inspirations behind some of them — all from a set styled after one of the locales players will explore in Phantom Liberty.
In Phantom Liberty, players once again take on the role of V, a cyberpunk for hire, as they embark on a mission to save the President of the New United States of America after her orbital shuttle is shot down over the deadliest district of Night City — Dogtown. What follows is a deep dive into an intricate story of espionage and political intrigue which connects the highest echelons of power with the brutal world of black-market mercenaries. The stakes are larger than life, but so is the reward — your very survival.
Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty releases September 26th, 2023 for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC (GOG, Steam, Epic Games Store), and is available for pre-order right now. For more information on both the base game and the upcoming expansion, visit the official website, as well as follow the game on Facebook and Twitter.
