Generation Exile 1.0 Release Date Announcement Trailer

Sonderlust Studios is thrilled to announce that Generation Exile, their sci-fi colony sim set aboard humanity’s first and final generation ship, will leave Early Access and fully launch for Windows PCs via Steam on April 17, 2026, as part of the 5th annual Earth Appreciation Festival! During Early Access, the development team made substantial improvements and additions to the game, including three biomes (Grasslands, Taiga, and Rainforest), new dangers, an expanded family tree system for NPCs, and much, much more.

Having left a ruined Earth, players command a colossal generation ship, rebuilding settlements across diverse biomes aboard while searching for humanity’s new home across the cosmos. Each biome presents new challenges as players build cities, manage limited resources, and optimize production chains as they navigate difficult choices about humanity’s future among the stars. With 1.0, Sonderlust Studios is delivering the full Generation Exile experience, including major refinements and additions shaped by player feedback during Early Access. Some of the new features and additions being introduced include a final planetfall preparation chapter with dynamic challenges that can also be played as a stand-alone sandbox mode, more structures and upgrades for more strategic depth and options for problem-solving, many more new both minor and major narrative events, and more.

“We could not be more grateful to every player who jumped aboard Generation Exile during Early Access. The collaboration and feedback was invaluable in getting the game ready for a full 1.0 launch, especially for a small team like ours,” said Sonderlust Studios founder Nels Anderson. “We’re very excited to soon be delivering a complete version of Generation Exile and seeing what stories new players discover and create in their own journey to earn a better future for humanity.”

Generation Exile asks players to venture aboard humanity’s first and final generation ship, a desperate expedition teetering on the rim of collapse. You are the Caretaker- you must make the most of finite supplies and rally the remaining survivors to rebuild a sustainable society within the ship itself. Adapt to the strange ecological entity propagating on board, or succumb to ruin. It’s going to be a long journey, but no two journeys will be the same.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl Sealed Truth Update and Cost of Hope DLC Announcement

GSC Game World is excited to announce the release of the new smaller-scale Content Update for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, arriving in celebration of the Cost of Hope DLC reveal.

This update delivers a new narrative-driven activity centered around the mysterious X-Lab — expanding the Zone with fresh story content and high-risk opportunities, available free for every owner of the game.

Explore the X-Lab

Deep beneath the Zone, places like X-Labs remain sealed behind massive doors or buried under the consequences of failed “research.” Rumors are now spreading among stalkers that Diod, a technician from Slag Heap, has somehow gained access to the lower levels of X-18.

No one knows what is really happening down there. This is your chance to find out.

Risky Gig with High Reward

Diod isn’t interested in loot — only in something he desperately needs. And it just so happens that Skif might be the only one capable of getting him inside.

On paper, it sounds like a simple deal: access to the lab in exchange for a hefty payout. But nothing in the Zone is ever simple.

Expect a high-risk, high-reward excursion filled with mystery, danger, and unknown consequences. Aside from the payment, more may await — lost knowledge, useful gear, or something far more significant hidden deep within the lab.

New Context in the Zone

This content drop expands the world of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl with a focused but meaningful story encounter tied to the deeper mysteries of the X-Labs.

It serves as a complimentary update in celebration of the upcoming Cost of Hope DLC announcement, and is meant as a thank-you to the community for staying with the Zone.

White Knuckle Anniversary Update Release Date Trailer

Today, the trio of developers who make up New Mexico-based Dark Machine Games, alongside indie horror publisher DreadXP, have announced a major anniversary update for their critically-acclaimed horror speed-climbing roguelike White Knuckle, arriving on Friday, April 17th! After a full calendar year of great escapes and breathtaking speed runs, the team is ready to enhance and upgrade the pure adrenaline-pumping experience that White Knuckle offers, headlined by the addition of Trinkets and Bindings: unique equipment obtained from clearing objectives that players can select at the outset of every Run. Trinkets provide buffs to player Stats & Abilities, while Bindings grant additional Trinket slots & increase score multipliers—at the cost of a severe debuff.

In addition to Trinkets & Bindings, the anniversary update also introduces a newly revamped metaprogression in the form of Facility Credits, which can be used to purchase Facility Upgrades. Formerly known as the gamemode bank, Roaches banked during Runs are now stored as Facility Credits. Beginning each Run, players will receive an allotment of starting roaches pulled from your Facility Credit pool, and can also obtain more Facility Credits using the Roach ATM with a floppy disk.

Roaches and Facility Credits can be used to purchase Facility Upgrades in Interlude safe rooms. These upgrades are divided into Sector & Global upgrades, allowing players to access new stations in each safe area, as well as activate permanent buffs & cosmetics. Select Sector upgrades include the Recycling Station, which recycles items into roaches at 50% of their value, the Extra Vendor (which brings an additional vendor to the sector’s safe area), and Vendor Upgrades, which replaces a vendor in safe areas with one that provides higher tier items. Some of the Global Upgrades include the Starter Loan (which allows for additional roach withdrawals at a run’s start), the Biomod Oversupply that allows you to reroll perks at no cost once per station, and the Permanent Inventory unlock Pouch Trinket.

In addition to the above, the major Anniversary Update for White Knuckle also adds in a variety of fresh content, including a New Challenge Map, new Score Calculation mechanics, and a new Competitive Mode for all speedrunners and other obsessives, which limits perks to a smaller pool that are speedrun viable and sets all facility unlocks to true, removing metaprogression components.

White Knuckle traps the player in the crumbling depths of SUB-STRUCTURE 1 as a lone climber fighting to ascend a nightmarish underground compound. You must navigate collapsing walls, leap over deadly gaps, and dodge brutal traps, all while evading the monstrous presence lurking and creeping from down below. Precision, speed, and smart resource management are essential. Tools can aid your climb, but overpacking will slow you down, and accessing your gear mid-ascent means having to let go of a hand. One wrong move, just one fumbled grab, and it’s a long, long way down…
