Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed DLC #3 Out Today

Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed, a 4v1 hunt or haunt action-packed video game from the asymmetrical multiplayer experts at IllFonic, is set to release the game’s third DLC on August 1, 2023. This FREE DLC accompanies a previous base game purchase, which is rated E10+ and available on PC/Epic Games Store, PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One for $19.99. You read that correctly, starting August 1, 2023, Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed digital versions will drop to the scary good price of $19.99.

DLC #3 is loaded with exciting content. The new map will be beloved by live music fans and clubgoers alike. The map contains a delightful blend of open areas, minor verticality, and connecting hallways. Who knows what’s lurking behind each turn… could it be our new Ghost type – the Watcher, a grotesque and elusive little creature. Look closely and Ghostbusters fans might just recognize the “Bug-Eyed” ghosts that are well known from the franchise. Not to mention, there are cool new threads and some great quality of life updates. See below for the details.

DLC Highlights:

– New Map – The New Motion Club – The New Motion Club is a pillar of the New York underground music scene. From Baxter Hills to Trance Ratton, countless now well-known alternative acts have gotten their start here. After a change in ownership, the venue was expanded to include a two-thousand square foot street level dance hall with the original basement stage reimagined as a comedy club. More space led to bigger bands, with many considering the New Motion Club to be a necessary stop on an artist’s path to stardom. What new ownership didn’t account for though, was a recent spike in paranormal activity. Are these ghostly parasites drawn to the energy of such a vibrant place, or are they just fans of “the scene” like everyone else? Either way, it’s bad for business, but good for busting.

– New Ghost Type – Watcher – Our studies have unequivocally concluded that this ghost type is a particularly grotesque and elusive little creature. It’s safe to assume that before you ever notice a Watcher, it’s certainly already noticed you, courtesy of its giant external eye attached via a disgusting semi-corporeal tendon. A Watcher is known for sending its occult oculus hurtling toward intended scare targets and then either recoiling it back to its socket OR pulling its torso to the eye itself, phasing through anything that stands between them. So yes, it’s a quite hideous sight all around.

– New Buster Cosmetics – Including Ghostbusters (2016) film Cosmetics and Gear Shells!

– Numerous Quality of Life updates to improve player’s gameplay experiences.

Nova Strike Official Launch Trailer

NACON and Sanuk Games are delighted to announce Nova Strike, a retro-style shoot’em up in which players control a spaceship fighting across the galaxy. With the roguelite-style progression system, pilots acquire skills that will be essential for completing the game’s increasingly challenging chapters.

Alone against everyone, players attack enemy bases and try to obliterate the space defences blocking their way. To do this, players must skilfully avoid enemy fire in the classic tradition of the bullet hell genre.

By defeating enemy squadrons, pilots earn points that can be spent on upgrading their firepower and defences to become more powerful. Players can use Nova Strike’s roguelite mechanics to customize their ship and test a variety of strategies. Furthermore, the seven levels of each chapter are procedurally generated, making each run a fresh challenge!

Nova Strike boasts a 2D pixel art design and an original soundtrack inspired by classic video game space shooters. This innovative game in NACON’s catalogue offers nostalgic gamers a contemporary version of the classic shoot’em up.

Men of War II Final Beta Weekend Announced

Fulqrum Publishing and Ukrainian studio Best Way are happy to announce the Final Beta weekend for the highly-anticipated real-time strategy title Men of War II will begin on Thursday, August 10, and conclude on Monday, August 14. This Final Beta weekend marks the third time fans will have access to the game ahead of the release on September 20th, 2023, via Steam, Epic Games Store and other digital store fronts. It will be available to download for free via the Men of War II Steam page, where players can immediately head to and sign up for access today.

During the open beta, players will be able to experience Men of War II’s Classic Modes, a highly-requested feature from the community, which will take players back to the multiplayer experience of previous Men of War games. Players will be able to simply select which nation they want to play as, and will immediately have access to all that nation’s units in each match. There are no battalions and echelons, with the player calling in their forces based on a combination of each unit’s individual timer, as well as the player’s own pool of resources.

Meanwhile, fans looking for a new experience can check out the Realism Mode, which offers a higher chance of disabling and capturing enemy vehicles, fewer visual cues concerning the visibility and health of their units, a more limited range of fire for weapons and many more gameplay changes.

This Final open Beta is based on community feedback from thousands of players who have already played, tested, and provided their thoughts on the previous two public tests on everything from unit balance to optimization improvements. The version in this Beta will closely mirror the full release experience, with further features, lots of content, and other modes added at launch. The developers will continue to work on polishing and balancing based on fresh player feedback from this Beta. Players’ progress and saves in this open beta test will not carry over to release.

Baldur’s Gate 3 First Look at Orin the Red Trailer

With the launch of Baldur’s Gate 3 just around the corner, Larian Studios has released a new video introducing the RPG’s third and final central antagonist: Orin the Red. A practitioner in the art of inflicting pain and a grandmaster of murder, Orin has killed for many years but has yet to be caught, thanks in part to her shapeshifting abilities, which enable her to take the form of anyone – perhaps even someone in your camp…

Orin the Red is voiced by the incredible Maggie Robertson, known to many as the voice of Lady Dimitrescu (Resident Evil Village) and Skjóthendi the Unerring (God of War Ragnarök).

“Orin is, affectionately, unhinged,” said Robertson. “You don’t know when she’s going to pop up, you don’t know in what form she’s going to be, she’s incredibly tricksy.”

As Orin, Maggie Robertson joins General Ketheric Thorm (J.K. Simmons) and Lord Enver Gortash (Jason Isaacs) to complete the “unholy triumvirate” of villains in Baldur’s Gate 3.

“To be considered even in the same realm, much less share scenes with J.K. Simmons and Jason Isaacs… was such an honour, and it was so inspiring and exciting to see their work in this game and experience how our characters come together in the scenes we share to create this unholy, evil triumvirate,” said Robertson.

Baldur’s Gate 3 releases August 3 on PC and September 6 on PlayStation 5. See the attached map for release timing per region on PC.

More information on Baldur’s Gate 3 is available on the official website. You can stay up to date with the latest Larian Studios news via Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok or the official Discord server.
