Witchfire Spell System Trailer

Today the independent design studio The Astronauts released a scorching new gameplay video showcasing the spellcraft of their upcoming dark fantasy shooter Witchfire. Featuring commentary from senior game designer Karol Krok, the video displays the different types of elemental magic available to witch hunters on the prowl, which will allow players to unleash an arsenal of spells, hexes, and curses upon their enemies.

Spellcraft is designated into two distinct categories: light spells and heavy spells. The former are quicker to deploy and cost less stamina to use, but don’t do as much damage as their heavier counterparts. In the gameplay video, we can see the witch hunter execute a fearsome heavy spell that summons a phantom bell capable of stunning nearby enemies when properly shot.

Krok also reveals the four core elements that comprise the majority of spells and magic within the game: water, earth, fire and air. Each has its own unique properties—setting enemies aflame increases the amount of damage they can take, for example—and utilizing different elemental spells in quick succession can achieve powerful combined effects. Ultimately, the wide variety of spellcraft available to the witch hunters is just as vital as their arsenal of guns, and both will be crucial for any soul brave enough to conquer the Land of the Witch.

From the creators of Painkiller and Bulletstorm, Witchfire is a first-person shooter set in a dark fantasy world in which a deadly war rages between powerful witches and the Church. In this alternate reality, witches are very real and very dangerous— but so is the witch hunter. Armed by Vatican sorcerers, players wield an infernal array of guns and forbidden magic as they combat dark terrors on behalf of their shadowy benefactors.

After shifting development from arena-style fighting to open-level combat, Witchfire is on track for a release to Early Access this year. World War 3 Operation Sunstorm Update Release Date

Publisher Wishlist Games and Developer The Farm 51 announced today that Operation Sunstorm, a free update for its popular tactical first-person shooter World War 3, will release on PC this March 30. The robust season two update features free-to-play content inspired by and set in Japan with two additional maps, new weapons, gear and strikes, and FUBAR, an all-new 20v20 game mode. Additionally, a battle pass with both free and premium tracks will also be released full of rewards for players to earn as they battle throughout the streets of Tokyo.

Operation Sunstorm will have players battling it out in the heart of Japan as they expertly navigate the open shopping strips, narrow alleyways, and side streets of Tokyo’s urban landscape to gain tactical advantages and achieve victory. This new installment adds to World War 3’s ever-expanding warfront where players face-off in team-based skirmishes by fighting on the ground, driving tanks and vehicles, utilizing drones to survey the battlefield, and calling in tactical strikes for maximum damage. Up to 40 players can battle in two core game modes, Tactical Ops and Deathmatch, with matches fought on a range of stunning, realistic maps.

NEW GAME MODE: FUBAR

Introducing a new take on Tactical Ops that focuses on infantry battles, with limited vehicles available. Take arms and fight to seize or defend six bleeding capture points in heart-pounding 20 v 20 skirmishes. This new mode is now a permanent addition to World War 3 and features infantry trucks and the new revive mechanic, so players can keep their teammates in the fight if they’re down but not yet out.

NEW MAPS

The capital of Japan is now a battlefield. Engage the enemy at mid-range on open shopping strips, close the gap in narrow alleyways and side streets, or secure a tactical advantage with vantage points perfect for sniper and DMR duels in Tokyo (Tactical Ops). Also, take a trip to Shibuya (Team Deathmatch), one of Tokyo’s most famous districts. Once a bustling center of commerce with a thriving nightlife scene, this ward now finds itself in the midst of an inescapable conflict. Players will fight through day and night variants of the map with everything they got to dominate its neon-drenched streets and take back this cultural capital.

Lock and load with the Type 89 assault rifle, the QBZ-191 assault rifle, the explosive PF3 rocket launcher, and the iconic Deagle handgun. Today Daedalic Entertainment and NACON announced that their highly anticipated adventure game, The Lord of the Rings: Gollum, will release to PC, PlayStation, and Xbox on May 25th. Dave the Diver Release Date Trailer

South Korean development studio MINTROCKET is proud to reveal that Dave the Diver will launch June 2023 on PC. Initially released in Early Access in October 2022, the charming and addictive adventure game has earned a collective “Overwhelmingly Positive” score from the Steam community with over 8,300 reviews submitted. The announcement was a part of the Future Games Show Spring Showcase.

When the game launches on PC this summer, it will feature the remaining chapters (4-7), additional maps with more areas to explore, and new bosses to take on as the mysteries of the Blue Hole unravel. Reflecting MINTROCKET’s desire to bring their games to communities all over the world, Dave the Diver offers English, German, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese, Spanish, and Traditional Chinese localizations. When they surface, they can serve patrons from near and far so they can earn money to improve their diving gear, allowing them to dive deeper and for extended periods of time to capture more exotic fish while fending off any threats they encounter. Dave the Diver makes for an addictive gameplay loop on top of an intriguing mystery that unfolds as players explore the darkest corners of the Blue Hole.
