AMEO Prod and BAFTA-nominated composer Olivier Derivière (A Plague Tale : Innocence & Requiem, South of Midnight, Dying Light 2, Assassin’s Creed Black Flag – Freedom Cry) will release the original soundtrack for Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy via digital download and music streaming services, including Spotify, YouTube, Apple Music and Bandcamp, on August 17. An original story and prequel to the award-winning A Plague Tale games created by Asobo Studio, the story of Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy follows the young and fierce Sophia as she journeys to the Minotaur’s Island, outsmarts deadly foes, unravels ancient secrets, and confronts a mythical creature at the heart of a devastating curse. Renowned for his thrilling, distinctive and dynamic soundtracks recognized by Billboard, Classic FM, MTV and The New York Times, Derivière commissioned and recorded globally celebrated native musicians in Cyprus, Greece and other international A-list musical talent to bring to life his unique, emotional soundtrack enhancing the game’s deep narrative and mythological journey.

The world-class native ensembles of virtuoso musicians and vocalists Derivière assembled for Resonance features The Amalgamation Choir, a unique Cypriot-Greek choir comprising 20 female vocalists led by the renowned Vasiliki Anastasiou; famed Cypriot soloists Anastasiou and Giorgos Kalogirou as well as Yaylı tambur and rebab (bowed string instruments) performed by Evgenios Voulgaris, Carnyx performed by Samuel Meric, Bouzouki / guitar performed by Giani Caserotto, and cello by Deriviere’s long-time collaborator, Eric-Maria Couturier (A Plague Tale: Innocence and A Plague Tale: Requiem).

Derivière adds, “I couldn’t be more grateful to all the musicians involved, who brought so much of their own culture, artistry, and personality to the score. More than just a soundtrack, this album is an invitation to experience a unique interpretation of some of the oldest Greek myths.”

Ubisoft revealed Rainbow Six Siege Year 11 Season 3 content at the Esports World Cup in Paris, France. Continuing Year 11’s ambition of reaffirming the game’s competitive identity, Operation Split Fire is a high-stakes season focused on skill, mastery, and fair competition. Player feedback is once again at the center of this update, as Season 3 premieres the latest addition to the defender roster, balancing for Kali, Dokkaebi, and others, a new event and a 3v3 Arcade mode, both available for a limited time, a brand-new ranked playlist for those aiming for the highest heights, and more!

At the core of Operation Split Fire is Noor, hailing from Egypt, brings a new layer of counterplay to the fight, creating fresh challenges for shield Operators. Armed with the Horus Lance Launcher, Noor creates pressure through walls, floors, ceilings, and shields while unlocking new tactical possibilities for defenders. This new defender will be equipped with a primary weapon of either the Commando-9 or the Alda 5.56, and a TACOPS 1911 or Bailiff 410 as a secondary weapon. To help prepare for the oncoming assault, Noor is equipped with barbed wires or a deployable, allowing him to fortify positions and operate from relative safety. A formidable counter to shield Operators, Noor is a force to be reckoned with for shield players and obligates them to rethink their approach while giving defenders a powerful new tool for area denial, plant denial, and creative tactical plays.

In addition to these updates, Kali is receiving adjustments to her CSRX 300 aimed to make her a little more agile and responsive to play. Her CSRX 300 now has 2 brand-new magnification options: 3.5x and 8x, allowing her to remain precise at short range without being hindered by excessive zoom. The weapon’s pump time has also been reduced, its magazine capacity increased. Additionally, activating her LV Explosive Lance will no longer interrupt her ADS or leaning distance, allowing her to hold angles more proactively. Alongside Kali, Dokkaebi is receiving further adjustments to her Jegeo Payload and loadout to encourage more deliberate and coordinated gameplay. The Jegeo Payload will now require a continuous connection to complete the upload process, which can be interrupted, creating new opportunities for IQ, Mute and Solis. Her impact EMP grenades have been replaced by breach charges, helping us define her role more clearly going forward. Lion, Echo and Kapkan will also receive minor changes as part of the first major balancing update of the season. Lion’s Scan warning time has been reduced, Echo’s Sonic Burst now recharges more quickly, Kapkan’s trap damage has been increased from 60 to 62 HP, and Claymore’s damage increased from 150 to 155HP.

With Season 3, players will also get their first targeted map update, with Villa taking center stage. The underutilized Living Room/Library site has been moved to the basement, supported by permanent map layout changes designed to create viable alternative objectives and diversify defensive site selection. In addition to this Season 3 continues the Modernized Maps Initiative, bringing an improved look to more maps, such as Stadium Alpha, Stadium Bravo and House. The shooting range and Tutorials will also receive a visual update.

Finally, following the introduction and success of 1v1, Season 3 expands our Arcade offering with a new 3v3 mode. Built around smaller teams and faster-paced matches, it offers a fresh way to experience Siege while staying true to the tactical gameplay that defines the game. The mode offers a more accessible and flexible format while preserving the tactical gameplay that defines Siege. Following 3v3 Arcade, the Wasteland Circuit event will be premiered. This brand-new limited-time event transforms one of Siege’s most iconic gadgets into the star of the show, as players will race drones through custom-built tracks filled with obstacles, shortcuts, and high-speed challenges for a completely different Siege experience. HBO Renews IT: Welcome to Derry for Season 2

The nightmare is far from over. Following a record-breaking debut, the HBO Original drama series IT: WELCOME TO DERRY has been officially renewed for a second season.

Produced by Warner Bros. Television and spearheaded by executive producers Andy and Barbara Muschietti, alongside showrunner Brad Caleb Kane, the eight-episode first season is currently streaming on HBO Max and ranks among the top four series premieres globally in the platform’s history.

A Critical Juggernaut

Expanding on the cinematic vision established in the blockbuster films IT and IT Chapter Two, the series has been a massive hit with critics. Variety hailed the first season as “a masterfully woven, intricate psychological horror,” while The New York Times praised Andy Muschietti’s direction for “serv[ing] up a perfect nightmare of mounting panic and terror.” Forbes and The Seattle Times similarly celebrated the show as “visually impressive” and “horrifically mesmerizing.”

What to Expect in Season 2

While season one introduced viewers to a new era of Pennywise’s terror, the upcoming season will plunge audiences into the 1930s.

Set during the Great Depression in 1935, season two will center on the bloody massacre of the Bradley Gang—a group of bank robbers who make the fatal mistake of stopping in Derry to buy ammo, only to face unimaginable horror.

Rev your engines! The Honda Center was electric on Saturday night during the Disney Experiences Showcase at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event. Rock icon Sheryl Crow took to the stage, surprising thousands of fans with the announcement that she is back in the driver’s seat for Disney and Pixar’s “Cars” franchise and has written and performed new original music — including the high-octane theme song “Built to Last” — for the upcoming Disney Jr. series “Cars: Lightning Racers.”

As part of the 20th anniversary celebration of the original “Cars” movie, Crow treated the crowd to a live performance of the new song, followed by her iconic hit “Real Gone.” The performance brought the spirit of Radiator Springs to life, celebrating two decades of racing history while looking forward to a brand-new generation of adventures.

Sheryl Crow, a nine-time GRAMMY Award winner and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee, is bringing her signature sound with new original music featured throughout “Cars: Lightning Racers.” In addition to the theme song, Crow wrote 10 additional songs for the series, which will debut on Disney Jr. and stream on Disney+ in 2027.

The second day of D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event presented by Visa brought Disney fans from around the world together for another day of unparalleled storytelling, immersive experiences, and exclusive access to the future of Disney. From the largest show floor in event history at the Anaheim Convention Center to a spectacular evening presentation at the Honda Center, fans experienced firsthand the imagination, innovation, and creativity that continue to define The Walt Disney Company.

Saturday culminated with the Horizons: Disney Experiences Showcase, hosted by Neil Patrick Harris, as fans packed the arena for an unforgettable look at the future of Disney Experiences. Throughout the evening, Disney Experiences leaders, Imagineers, and storytellers unveiled exciting new details, shared behind-the-scenes stories, and offered fans exclusive first looks at what’s on the horizon. Earlier in the day, the Anaheim Convention Center continued to serve as the epicenter of Disney fandom as attendees explored immersive activations, exclusive pavilions, fan-favorite panels, and extraordinary shopping experiences. With nearly 1.3 billion hours streamed on Disney+ globally, the series is Marvel’s most-watched TV series on the platform and the longest-running Spider-Man series overall. It introduces a whole new generation of young fans to Peter Parker, Miles Morales, and Gwen Stacy, who together form Team Spidey and go on adventures to protect their community. The announcement was made by Alyssa Sapire, Head of Disney Jr., Original Programming, and Strategy, during the “Celebrate 65 Years of Marvel’s Spider-Man!” panel at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event.

– The Disney Princess Experience, an all-new immersive adventure, is currently in development. The announcement was made during a panel at Disney Theatrical Group’s showroom floor booth. – An exclusive first screening of LEGO® Star Wars: The Mandalorian, an all-new animated special from Lucasfilm, which will debut exclusively on Disney+ September 2, 2026. Shelby Young, who has voiced numerous characters in animated Star Wars titles over the years, debuted the trailer and poster before introducing the film to an excited crowd at the Anaheim Convention Center. Based on Star Wars, created by George Lucas, and inspired by the Disney+ series The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett, the special is directed by Chris Buckley and written by Michael Price. Knott’s Berry Farm and Six Flags Mexico

Knott’s Berry Farm will pull back the curtain Aug. 18 as they host Nightmares Revealed—their annual, fan-favorite Halloween announcement event for Knott’s Scary Farm, California’s longest-running theme park Halloween event. Festival del Terror presented by FANTA® at Six Flags Mexico will feature new licensed horror experiences as part of the park’s 2026 lineup. Additional franchise announcements and event details for the popular Halloween event will be shared in the coming weeks.

Haunted attraction pass options offer flexible access to the scares

Beyond the licensed horror franchises, guests will find a wide variety of original haunted mazes and Halloween attractions at participating Six Flags parks. These immersive scare experiences feature themes ranging from sinister clowns and fractured fairy tales to possessed puppets and holiday nightmares. To experience the haunted mazes, guests can choose from the following pass options:

  • Haunted Attractions Pass grants unlimited access to all haunted mazes for one evening (excludes Knott’s Berry Farm, Six Flags Darien Lake and The Conjuring: Beyond Fear)
  • All Season Haunted Attractions Pass grants season passholders and members season-long scares in 2026 at their home park
  • The Conjuring: Beyond Fear single entry (advance purchase recommended)
  • Haunted Attractions Express Pass is a premium package that grants priority haunted maze access (excludes The Conjuring: Beyond Fear)

Guests must have a valid park admission ticket, season pass or membership, plus a Haunted Attractions Pass, to experience haunted mazes and select Halloween attractions at participating parks. Knott’s Scary Farm is excluded from this admission structure.

Returning in 2026, Knott’s Scary Farm will continue as a separately ticketed experience. Admission to Knott’s Scary Farm includes access to its haunted mazes, scare zones, live entertainment and other Halloween attractions, with no additional haunted maze fee required.

Each park’s list of attractions, maze offerings and passes will be available on its website.

Beyond the mazes: a complete Halloween experience

While the new and returning horror franchises headline the 2026 season, guests will find that fear extends far beyond the walls of the haunted attractions.

Across the Six Flags Entertainment portfolio, themed scare zones will transform park midways into immersive worlds of horror, where roaming monsters, elaborate sets, atmospheric effects and unexpected jump scares create an outdoor haunt experience unlike any other. As darkness falls, guests will encounter terrifying characters lurking throughout the parks, turning pathways into parts of the story. New for 2026, Six Flags Over Texas will debut Varnum’s Traveling Pit Show of Oddities, a premium scare-zone experience that blends immersive horror, live entertainment and themed offerings in an all-new environment.

Adding to the atmosphere, parks will feature a robust lineup of live entertainment, including Halloween-themed musical productions, monster bands, stunt performances, parades and nighttime spectaculars. Together, these experiences create a soundtrack for the season and extend the thrills beyond the haunted mazes.

The fear continues on world-class roller coasters and thrill rides as they take on a completely different personality after dark. Eerie lighting, dense fog, immersive soundscapes and the darkness of the night transform familiar attractions into unforgettable Halloween experiences.

Scare zones, live entertainment and nighttime ride experiences are included with admission, giving guests more ways than ever to experience Halloween at Six Flags parks.

Family-friendly fall fun by day

Before the scares begin each evening, families can enjoy a full lineup of 141 daytime seasonal events and activities designed for guests of all ages.

Across participating parks, families will find kid-friendly Halloween experiences featuring trick-or-treat opportunities, pumpkin-themed activities, interactive entertainment and festive fall traditions. The atmosphere remains playful and family-focused throughout the day before transforming into a world of thrills and chills after sunset.

Popular offerings include:

  • Kids Boo Fest, Tricks and Treats, and Camp Spooky featuring family-friendly Halloween fun, seasonal activities and interactive entertainment.
  • Oktoberfest presented by Cash App, celebrating the season with festive food, specialty beverages and lively entertainment.

2027 passes offer lowest price of the season and biggest benefits

Six Flags is currently offering its lowest price on 2027 season passes this year and next, which includes regional access to multiple parks with just one pass. 2027 passholders gain free access to 2026 Halloween and winter holiday events, plus the entire 2027 season. Additional benefits include:

Season 2 of Lucasfilm’s Emmy® Award-winning series “Ahsoka” will premiere January 20, 2027, exclusively on Disney+. The new season, which once again stars Rosario Dawson in the titular role, is a story set after the fall of the Empire and the rise of the New Republic, which has Ahsoka confronting what it means to be a Jedi, while the galaxy faces a formidable opponent in Grand Admiral Thrawn.

Series creator and Lucasfilm President and CCO Dave Filoni, along with stars Rosario Dawson, Hayden Christensen, and Eman Esfandi, just took to the stage at the Honda Center in Anaheim for D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, where they debuted the teaser trailer and poster to a wildly enthusiastic response.

Season 2 continues the story of Ahsoka Tano and her extraordinary journey beyond the known galaxy. As Ahsoka and her Jedi apprentice Sabine Wren travel across a mysterious and perilous world to find their way home, their friends Hera, Ezra, Zeb, and Chopper, must face the powerful Grand Admiral Thrawn and his sinister allies, who seek to plunge the New Republic into war. Season 1 of “Ahsoka,” along with the full Star Wars Collection, is available to stream exclusively on Disney+.

“Ahsoka” stars Rosario Dawson, Natasha Liu Bordizzo, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Lars Mikkelsen, Eman Esfandi, Ivanna Sakhno, Rory McCann, and Hayden Christensen.
