World of Warplanes Unveils US Aircraft Line

Wargaming.net has released the full lineup of US aircraft to be featured in their upcoming online actioner, World of Warplanes – if you didn’t catch our interview with the developer, please do so! 😉

“We are proud to reveal the initial American tech tree,” said Victor Kislyi, Wargaming.net CEO. “Throughout the course of WWII, the US planes proved to be extremely powerful and efficient machines, and we could not but include them into the primary stack of World of Warplanes nations.”

New Screens and Game Mode for Alan Wake’s American Nightmare

It was announced today that Alan Wake’s American Nightmare, Remedy Entertainment’s stand-alone digital spin-off for Xbox LIVE Arcade, will include a relentlessly intense arcade mode called “Fight till Dawn”. Published by Microsoft Studios, the game will be released in middle of the first quarter of 2012.

The main story mode in Alan Wake’s American Nightmare is part of the ‘Night Springs’ TV show fiction and offers an exaggerated pulp action adventure where the horrors of reality have the all too easy habit of coming true. Alan Wake finds himself stuck in an altered reality filled with dangerous shadows; he must leap into action and pursue his evil doppelganger, Mr. Scratch, across the Arizona mesa towards the town of Night Springs. Scratch, a supernatural serial killer, has his evil plans set on Wake’s wife, Alice. Wake must learn to control reality itself and unravel the secret to Mr. Scratch’s demise while using the power of light to put an end to the darkness.

The good folks over at Paradox Interactive and Neocore Games have posted up a new dev blog post talking about the quests and objectives system found in their upcoming King Arthur II – The Role-playing Wargame, which is due out on January 10, 2012. They also released some new screenshots, which you can see below.

The main goal of King Arthur II is to protect your people from various threats from the North, conquer new lands till you gain control over all Britannia, and restore the peace that was lost when King Arthur suffered a magical wound that never heals, the Holy Grail was shattered and the Fomorians invaded your former kingdom. You’ll achieve all these goals if you complete the game’s Objectives, which together paint a grandiose portrait of an epic struggle.
