Skyrim Patch 1.2 Released

Bethesda Softworks has released Patch 1.2 for their highly-popular RPG, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. The patch features a number of fixes, including a CTD issue regarding audio settings.

UPDATE 1.2 NOTES (all platforms unless specified)

  • Fixed crash on startup when audio is set to sample rate other than 44100Hz
  • Fixed issue where projectiles did not properly fade away
  • Fixed occasional issue where a guest would arrive to the player’s wedding dead
  • Dragon corpses now clean up properly
  • Fixed rare issue where dragons would not attack
  • Fixed rare NPC sleeping animation bug
  • Fixed rare issue with dead corpses being cleared up prematurely
  • Skeleton Key will now work properly if player has no lockpicks in their inventory
  • Fixed rare issue with renaming enchanted weapons and armor
  • Fixed rare issue with dragons not properly giving souls after death
  • ESC button can now be used to exit menus
  • Fixed occasional mouse sensitivity issues
  • General functionality fixes related to remapping buttons and controls


Neverdead Gets Release Date

Konami has announced that their upcoming Neverdead will be released on January 31, 2012 for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 platforms. Neverdead is an actioner where the player is an immortal hero named Bryce who can get dismembered by enemies and keep on tickin’, even using his discarded limbs as weapons!

Choplifter HD Coming this Winter

Konami and inXile Entertainment have announced that they will be released a new, HD version of the classic Choplifter this Winter. Choplifter HD will be released on the Xbox LIVE Arcade, PlayStation Network, and Windows PC platforms.

“Choplifter HD takes everything we loved about the classic Choplifter game and amps it up with more choppers, more weapons, more rescues, lots of zombies and more over-the-top explosions to appeal to today’s action-thirsty gamer,” said Brian Fargo, president, inXile Entertainment.  “We are thrilled to be partnering with gaming giant Konami on bringing Choplifter HD to the many millions of Xbox Arcade players.”

Take On Helicopters Demo Released

Bohemia Interactive has released the official demo for their new helicopter simulation, Take On Helicopters. The demo weighs in at 3.93 GB and features a lot of content for players to get a taste of the game experience.

Players will be able to enjoy a generous variety of demo content, all playable above a huge section of the Seattle terrain:

·         Free Flight mode

·         Light and medium helicopters

·         30 x 30 km section of the Seattle terrain

·         2 singleplayer scenarios

·         3 time trial courses

·         3 training scenarios

·         1 multiplayer scenario

·         A powerful 2D scenario editor (limited version, does not allow saving or loading)
