Cambridge, UK. 10 February 2015 — Frontier Developments plc (AIM: FDEV) today launched Elite: Dangerous 1.1 free for all players.
The first major Elite: Dangerous update expands the core game with new Community Goals, graphical enhancements and localization for French, German and Russian.
Community Goals unite players with a shared objective, allowing the entire Elite: Dangerous community to participate in major new story events, supplying the construction of new capital ships and working together to reshape the boundaries of human-controlled space. Players will collaborate to help build new starports in undeveloped systems, giving all players a new launch pad for exploration of the galaxy.
Community Goals can be played in Multiplayer, Solo or Private Group modes, with all players contributing to the outcome of the objective and impacting Elite: Dangerous’ shared, connected galaxy.
1.1 places players firmly at the centre of Elite: Dangerous’ galactic expansion. Player-supported starports will acknowledge their chief benefactors, and the player who contributes the most material to the construction of an Imperial Majestic class Interdictor or Federation Farrgagut class Battlecruiser will be given the honor of naming the new capital ship. The in-game galaxy map will now credit the discovery of systems, planets and other bodies with the name of the first player to scan them, and the change applies retroactively to the 895,135 systems players have explored since launch – just 0.000223 percent of our Milky Way galaxy.
Elite: Dangerous 1.1 extends route planning to 1,000 light years and enhances the appearance of planets throughout Elite: Dangerous’ full-scale recreation of the Milky Way. The dark sides of populated worlds can now be seen illuminated by city lights and the cloudy atmospheres of gas giants have been given greater depth and richness.
Update 1.1 is the first in a series of ongoing major updates adding features and content to Elite: Dangerous. 1.2, planned for early March, will focus on multiplayer and introduce new ways for players to group together, communicate and locate friends in Elite: Dangerous’ galaxy.

Montreal, Canada (February 4, 2015) – Indie developer Crispon Games, founded by strategy game veterans Chris King and Pontus Åberg, and publisher Argonauts Interactive today announce that 4X (eXplore, eXpand, eXploit and eXterminate) space strategy game Galactic Inheritors will release for Windows PC on Steam’s Early Access on February 10, 2015.
Galactic Inheritors is the brainchild of former Paradox Interactive designers and strategy game veterans Chris King and Pontus Åberg. The game is a culmination of over a decade of experience developing award-winning strategy titles and their combined love for science fiction. King and Åberg helped craft such fan-loved titles Hearts of Iron, Victoria, Europa Universalis, and Crusader Kings during their time at Paradox Interactive. With the foundation of Crispon Games as independent studio, both King and Åberg aim to create the type of games they’re most passionate about, starting with Galactic Inheritors.
“When I left Paradox Interactive, I set out to create the game I always dreamed of making,” said Chris King, co-founder of Crispon Games and lead designer ofGalactic Inheritors. “We would sit around, talking about turning certain game ideas into actual games, but some never made it past the idea stage. I very much enjoyed my time at Paradox and am proud of the great games we made there. However, I deeply felt Galactic Inheritors is a game I needed to make, and make outside the constraints of a bigger studio. I knew I would deeply regret not taking the chance to make it happen.”
Galactic Inheritors returns to the roots of classic 4X games, taking the genre to a bold new frontier that offers a strong science fiction mythos grounded in reality, with deep strategy gameplay aimed at hardcore gamers. Players will explore a vast and diverse galaxy as leader of a budding galactic empire, eager to expand their influence and exterminate those that would oppose them.
The colonization of alien worlds allows players to fortify the infrastructure of their empire. Those that oppose can be destroyed by force or subdued through clever manipulation. In Galactic Inheritors, it’s up to players to employ masterful strategies, comprised of a wide range of tactical elements, with the ultimate goal of conquering the galaxy by any means necessary.

Santa Monica, CA – February 4, 2015 – Havoc, first DLC pack for Call of Duty®: Advanced Warfare (2014’s top-selling console video game in the world, according to the NPD Group and Gfk based on physical game unit sell-through), is coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PC on February 26. Packed to the brim with content,Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Havoc includes four new, epic multiplayer maps, access to the versatile AE4 directed energy assault rifle, the AE4 Widowmaker custom variant, plus an exciting all-new cooperative mode called Exo Zombies.
Havoc’s four new, exotic and diverse multiplayer maps are set around the globe and are tailor-made for players to unleash their exoskeleton’s abilities:
- Core: Deploy to the Gobi desert where the ravaged ruins of a nuclear fusion plant set the stage for a high-octane warzone. Take down enemies through the wreckage in long-range combat or get up-close and personal in the tunnels surrounding the central turbine. Activate decontamination drones using the map-based scorestreak to help clean out the competition.
- Urban: Prepare yourself for brutal, high-speed combat in Dallas Ward 3, a future mega structure, funneling players into a close-quarters free-for-all. This modular compound’s verticality unleashes the exoskeleton’s capabilities. Stay focused during the timed event as blast doors alter the map’s flow and sightlines.
- Sideshow: In the shadow of Devil’s Tower, Wyoming, this abandoned inn’s open layout amplifies its creep factor. Blast your way through the clown inn with close-quarters battles or use long-range site-lines from the mining facilities and natural terrain. Use the map-based scorestreak to activate the lights, music, and magic of the clown marquee and rain down a barrage of rainbow smoke-trailed cannonballs.
- Drift: An idyllic ski resort high in the Rocky Mountains is transformed into a festive high-altitude playground, perfect for an all-out firefight. Make your way to the highly contested over watch in the glass observation deck or take a ride on the carousel to deliver 360 degrees of carnage. Players can use the map-altering timed event to their advantage as an avalanche of snow and debris disorients players, intensifying the battle.
Havoc includes a new cooperative experience, Exo Zombies. Featuring a story told through the eyes of four employees of the Atlas corporation and played by a celebrity cast consisting of John Malkovich (In the Line of Fire, RED, Burn After Reading), Bill Paxton (Aliens, Titanic, Edge of Tomorrow), Rose McGowan (Planet Terror, Scream), and Jon Bernthal (Fury, The Wolf of Wall Street), Exo Zombies ushers in a new breed of zombies and a truly unique experience, all included first in the Havoc DLC Pack. The actors provide their voice over and likeness in a dark and cinematic adventure new to Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. These four performers help enlist players into a world where a DNA bioweapon unexpectedly spawns a bloodthirsty, ravenous mutant horde infecting a secret Atlas research facility and sending personnel running for their lives. Following a failed evacuation, four survivors, un-trained and underprepared, must face the most vicious mutations ever unleashed.
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Havoc is also included in the Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare DLC Season Pass*, where fans can purchase all four epic DLC Packs planned for the year, as part of the discounted bundle offered at a suggested retail price of $49.99 – a discount of $10 off the individual purchase of all four DLC Map Packs**. The Havoc DLC Pack also includes the AE4 directed energy assault rifle and its custom weapon variant, the AE4 Widowmaker, combine a versatile firing mechanism with all-around movement speed and handling.
*Downloadable content in the Season Pass may be sold separately. If you purchase the DLC Season Pass, do not also purchase these standalone DLC Map Packs, as you will be charged for them. DLC Season Pass and DLC Map Packs may not be available on all platforms or in all territories. Pricing and release dates may vary by platform. Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare game required; sold separately.
**Based on DLC Season Pass suggested retail price of $49.99 and four DLC Map Packs at a suggested retail price of $15 each.
