World of Warships Pre-Order Packages Available

WoWS_Screens_Vessels_Pre_Orders_Sims_Image_01

April 9, 2015 — World of Warships is excited to offer players the chance to upgrade their gaming experience with a great selection of pre-order packages in the run-up to the Open Beta. Offered in these exclusive packages are rare warships, Premium Account, and Gold Doubloons.

Included in select pre-order packages are three powerful warships. The Japanese cruiser Yubari combines excellent maneuverability and a devastating anti-aircraft armament, making this ship a crack shot in any situation. When adding her speed into the mix, the Yubari is a vessel able to stalk the seas and turn anything the ocean launches at her into scrap.

The nimble American Sims destroyer is a jack of all trades; its high speed lets players dodge enemy fire and unleash its dual-purpose guns against destroyers and light cruisers. It’s no slouch defensively either; this vessel’s smokescreens and torpedoes can save friendly ships from the most dangerous of situations.

Finally, the sneaky USSR Gremyashchiy, a destroyer capable of approaching battleships undetected, launching deadly torpedo strikes, and then making a swift retreat. Fast, agile, and maneuverable—she has it all—the Gremyashchiy is a watery assassin.

There are several packages available for players that include combinations of exclusive warships, Premium Account, and Gold Doubloons.

Pre-order packages can be purchased by the player for their account. Closed Beta testers will have access to their purchased packages immediately. When the Open Beta commences, the packages will be credited to players once again.

Please note that buying a pre-order package does not grant a player access to the Closed Beta. All the packages are available at the Premium shop:

guild-wars-2-red-lord

BELLEVUE, Wash. – April 9, 2015: ArenaNet™, publisher and developer of the acclaimed Guild Warsfranchise, today announced that Stronghold, the new player versus player (PvP) mode coming to Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns, will be playable in the live game for all current Guild Wars 2 players in North America and Europe as part of an upcoming public beta test. Starting on Tuesday, April 14 at 12 p.m. PT and running for 24-hours, all players in the West with Guild Wars 2 accounts will have the option to try Stronghold and put their skills to the test in this exciting new competitive mode that blends deep strategy, role-based play and immersive story elements into PvP. Stronghold was unveiled earlier this year as one of the key features coming with Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns, ArenaNet’s upcoming expansion to Guild Wars 2.

To invite everyone to join in the excitement, ArenaNet is marking this first public beta test for Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns with a series of livestream specials on Twitch that include fierce matches featuring developers and special guests. The studio is also enticing new players to join by launching a massive sale onGuild Wars 2 with a 75 percent discount on the game.  The sale starts at 10 a.m. PT tomorrow, April 10, and runs until 11:59 p.m. PT on Sunday, April 13. During this time, the game’s Digital Heroic Edition will be $9.99 and the Digital Deluxe edition will be $14.99 when purchased at buy.guildwars2.com.

ArenaNet’s Stronghold Twitch programming starts with a special episode of “Ready Up” featuring a Stronghold boot camp, scheduled for 12 p.m. PT tomorrow, April 10, on the official Guild Wars 2 Twitch channel. Show host Joshua Davis and Stronghold designer Hugh Norfolk will walk viewers through how to play this new PvP mode ahead of the beta going live. Then starting at 1 p.m. PT on April 14, shortly after the Stronghold public beta becomes available in-game, ArenaNet will begin broadcasting and hosting livestreams throughout the day. Tune in and watch ArenaNet developers and popular Twitch streamers as they play in heated Stronghold matches, exploring this new PvP mode and exposing new strategies and tactics. A schedule of ArenaNet’s day-long Twitch programming on April 14 appears at bottom.

Stronghold offers an entirely new way to play and watch competitive PvP in Guild Wars 2. In the inaugural map, the Battle of Champion’s Dusk, players take on the role of pirates or knights as they work with their allies to kill the opposing team’s lord. The mode features NPCs that players can hire for supply to help their team tear down the enemy’s gates and take down their defenses. These heroes provide new tactical and strategic opportunities for players. Whether players are fighting over supply, pushing or defending a lane, getting doorbreakers to the front line, or destroying enemies, every team member will have a key role and players will always be actively engaged.

During this 24-hour public beta, Stronghold will be the only mode available to all players in Unranked Arena, while the game’s traditional Conquest PvP mode will still be available in Ranked Arena. The revenant profession, the new playable class coming with Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns, will not be available in this beta test. Players will instead be able to beta test the new mode using any character tied to their account.

Neverwinter: Elemental Evil Launch Trailer

NW_ElementalEvil_Launch_Watermarked (4)

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. – April 7, 2015 Today, Perfect World Entertainment Inc., a leading publisher of free-to-play MMORPGs, and Cryptic Studios announced Neverwinter: Elemental Evil – the newest expansion for the action MMORPG set in the Dungeons & Dragons Forgotten Realms universe from Wizards of the Coast – is now available on PC, followed by Xbox One later this year.

The launch trailer for Neverwinter: Elemental Evil can be viewed here:

In the largest update to the game yet, Neverwinter: Elemental Evil brings a new playable class – the Paladin – increasing the playable class count to eight. Players creating a Paladin will be able to choose between focusing on healing or tanking builds. Neverwinter: Elemental Evil also brings the iconic hero Minsc & his miniature giant space hamster Boo to the city of Neverwinter as they pursue the true nature of four elemental cults dedicated to seeding destruction and instability throughout the Forgotten Realms. The new module increases the level cap from 60 to 70, which brings a new set of quests, feats and slottable class feature powers.

“Our team is thrilled to revisit one of the most iconic stories of Dungeons & Dragons with Neverwinter: Elemental Evil,” says Rob Overmeyer, executive producer of Neverwinter. “Aspiring to deliver our biggest expansion to-date, our team at Cryptic focused on introducing long-requested gameplay features as well as building more Dungeons & Dragons lore into our game. Introducing a new class, the level cap increase and Minsc & Boo into one expansion was quite a task, but an exciting one in order to continue to build a quality Dungeons & Dragons digital experience.”

“D&D players have fought the forces of Elemental Evil before but there is a new twist with cult leaders like Aerisi, the elven prophetess ruling the Cult of the Howling Hatred, and the three other elemental prophets playing a deceptive role as the story is brought to life for Neverwinter players”, said Nathan Stewart, Brand Director of Dungeons & Dragons.

Neverwinter: Elemental Evil continues the partnership with Wizards of the Coast as Cryptic Studios and Perfect World Entertainment maintain a one-to-one release cadence with official D&D storylines. Neverwinter players will journey through new adventures as they fight the newest threat to Protector’s Enclave – the Cults of Elemental Evil – which are also present in the upcoming tabletop adventure release, Princes of the Apocalypse.

Neverwinter is a free-to-play action MMORPG that features fast-paced combat and epic dungeons. Players explore the vast city of Neverwinter and its surrounding countryside, learning the vivid history of the iconic city in the Forgotten Realms and battling its many enemies. Neverwinter is currently available on PC and digitally for Xbox One, available free-to-play with Gold* from the Xbox Games Store.

*On Xbox, Xbox Live Gold membership (sold separately) required.

ROCCAT Kave XTD 5.1 Analog Coming this Month

ROC-Kave_XTD_Analog_down+remote

Hamburg, 7 April 2015 – ROCCAT Studios, Germany’s game peripheral powerhouse adds a member to the Kave family with the ROCCAT Kave XTD 5.1 Analog, set to hit online stores and retailers this April.

The XTD 5.1 Analog brings true premium 5.1 surround sound headset technology to your gaming experience, with all of the bells, whistles and comfort features gamers have come to know and expect from a ROCCAT offering. The fully immersive, this Kave headset comes equipped with two 40mm driver units, a 30mm vibration unit in each ear cup, a dual-mode remote for highly efficient, time-saving audio control adjustment, and a convenient LED light-tipped mouthpiece that ensures you know when you’re on a live mic or muted. Inspired by the original Kave, the most successful true 5.1 gaming headset ever, we studied our original designs and analyzed gamer feedback to craft the 5.1 Analog’s features. We kept what worked, and made advances where we knew this new headset could shine. One of those advances, of course, was in sound clarity.

The Kave XTD 5.1 Analog blazes a new path in pure, high quality in-game audio. It’s the first analog gaming headset to feature an interference isolator, a revolutionary technology that provides zero noise interference. The electromagnetic interference most gamers simply accept as a part of gaming audio experiences is a thing of the past. The Kave XTD 5.1 Analog provides nothing but clean, crisp audio in full, high quality surround sound.

René Korte, CEO and founder of ROCCAT Studios effuses about the Kave XTD 5.1 Analog, “Not only is this headset a technically on-point peripheral in function, but the build is amazing. Looking at it, you’d never guess it was twenty five percent lighter than the original Kave. That’s an ultra-light build packed with features, and so easy to wear during long gaming sessions due to a bevy of comfort options. To us, quality is innovation, be it something nobody has ever thought of, to making something that everyone has seen feel like a new experience. That’s the Kave XTD 5.1 Analog. That’s ROCCAT philosophy in practice.”

The ROCCAT Kave XTD 5.1 Analog is available now in Europe for 119,99 Euro and hits shelves in the US around mid of April for 119,99 USD.
