Today Life is Strange fans across the globe were given a deep dive look at the supernatural power that players will control in the award-winning series’ next major entry, Life is Strange: True Colors. The details were shared in the company’s SQUARE ENIX PRESENTS show, which aired during E3 2021. Developed by Deck Nine Games, the studio behind Life is Strange: Before the Storm, in collaboration with Square Enix External Studios, Life is Strange: True Colors introduces players to Alex Chen, an all-new protagonist who will use her psychic power of empathy to solve a mystery that will make her question everyone and everything she’s come to know in the quaint small town of Haven Springs.

In March, the latest entry in the Life is Strange series was revealed: Life is Strange: True Colors, a small-town supernatural mystery.

Brought to life through full performance capture by rising talent Erika Mori, players will navigate Haven Springs as Alex Chen, a young woman who has long suppressed her ‘curse’: the psychic power of Empathy, a supernatural ability that allows her to experience, absorb and influence the strong emotions of others – which she sees as blazing, colored auras.

When her brother dies, in a suspicious accident, Alex must at last embrace her volatile power to find the truth, and uncover the dark secrets buried by a small town. Alex Chen’s journey, power and future are all fully under the player’s control.

The presentation gave more insight into the visuals, gameplay, and narrative impact of Alex’s psychic power of Empathy, showing how she and the player will make choices and interact with the citizens of Haven Springs, both through use of the power during exploration, and in memorable story-driven moments that present the player with complex decisions only they – using Alex’s power – can resolve.

The psychic power of Empathy affects every interaction and relationship Alex has in the game and is fully under the players control. Use it to reveal the secrets of Haven Springs, the hidden facets of Alex’s past, and the future of her journey to find a place to call home.

Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong New E3 2021 Character Trailer

At the PC Gaming Show, NACON and the Bordeaux-based studio Big Bad Wolf revealed a new trailer for Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong, the story-driven RPG based on the famous role-playing game franchise. The video introduces a tormented young woman named Leysha, one of the three playable characters.

Leysha is a Malkavian, one of the founding clans of the Camarilla, and appears as a young woman about 30 years old. Beneath her pale skin and different-sized pupils hides incurable pain, a mental instability that all Malkavians suffer from after the Embrace, the bite inflicted upon a human by a vampire, a creature doomed to remain hidden in plain sight.

In the video, Leysha is playing innocently with her child, Halsey. But this benign situation turns into a waking nightmare and raises the question: is any of this real?

To hide herself, Leysha uses Obfuscate, one of the many vampiric powers that can be used in the game. As a story-driven RPG, Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong features unique gameplay mechanics. Resolve conflicts and mysteries to gain experience points and levelling up your characters, thus boosting your special powers.

In this narrative RPG adapted from the 5th edition of Vampire: The Masquerade, the player takes control of 3 vampires belonging to different clans of the Camarilla, the secret society to which most vampires belong. Weaving between their intertwined tales, the player has to confront the different points of view of his characters to unravel fact from fiction. With whispers of conspiracy, murder and power struggles, the player must protect his clan, discover the truth and above all enforce the Masquerade, the vampire law designed to conceal the existence of creatures of the night from humans.

Publisher Kalypso Media and developer Frima Studio have today shared the debut gameplay of Disciples: Liberation – a brand-new mature, dark fantasy strategy RPG arriving in Q4 2021 for PC, PlayStation 4|5 and Xbox. The video, revealed during E3 and narrated by Frima Studio’s Creative Director Jordane Thiboust, shows off early gameplay, including intricate turn-based combat, while showcasing some of the factions, biomes and ghoulish adversaries players can expect to encounter throughout their adventures across the war-torn world of Nevendaar.

Alongside the gameplay reveal, Kalypso Media has shared a new trailer, the game’s official artwork and announced that that PC pre-orders are now open via Steam, the Kalypso Store and the Epic Games Store. An exclusive closed beta, limited to 1000 PC players, will kick off next week on June 17 and fans of dark fantasy tactical adventures are encouraged to sign up now for a chance to go hands-on with the game during the beta period.

Disciples: Liberation marks a new beginning for the franchise, allowing players to explore a richly detailed dark fantasy world, fight foul beasts in intricate turn-based combat, take on hundreds of unique quests and foster relationships with an assortment of in-world factions: from a human empire tinged by religious extremism to the dark forces of the undead lead by a mad queen. Gaming personalities Sean “Day[9]” Plott, Mica Burton and Frankie Ward will host the biggest annual showcase dedicated to PC gaming, the PC Gaming Show, when it returns on June 13 at 2:30 PM PT / 5:30 PM ET.

Frankie Ward spent the past ten years as a producer, but it was only when she produced coverage of the 2015 League of Legends Worlds Quarter-Finals at Wembley for the BBC, that she realised that she could make gaming her career.

Moving to Twitch as a producer for Twitch Studios in July 2016, Frankie occasionally popped up onstage to cover for hosts who needed a break. This led to her hosting Ginx TV’s The Bridge, and the ESL Hearthstone Premiership Final in January. Since going full-time as a host in April 2018, Frankie has desk hosted games including NHL 18, CSGO and PUBG and become the face of the Omen Esports Report, alongside Pala Gilroy-Sen.

In June 2018, she was given the huge opportunity of co-hosting the PC Gaming Show at E3 – a show that reached an audience of over two million viewers, and made her mark on the Counter-Strike esports scene in the reporting role at the ESL Intel Extreme Masters CS:GO Major Championship the following February.

Bringing humour and wit, as well as enthusiastic knowledge to the events she hosts, Frankie’s outlook is that, now esports is a serious business, we can start having fun with it.
