July 27, 2016 – Blood Bowl 2, the sequel to the video game adaptation of Games Workshop’s famous board game that combines American football with the fantasy world of Warhammer, welcomes a new race on its pitch: The Undead. The monstrous new team with their fearsome “Regenerate” skill are available today on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

The Undead Team

Death comes often for Blood Bowl players, and the souls of the most passionate sometimes rise up again to relive the scenes of their former glory. They have incredibly agile players, the Ghouls and the Wights, but they are often too fast for their shambling, but fearsome, Mummy teammates to keep up.

Finally, two Star Players are joining the Undead: Ramtut III is a mighty and powerful mummy who has spent countless years on the pitch. Morg n’ Thorg, someone who has faced Ramtut on the pitch and lived, happens to be his sworn nemesis. Vampire Count Luthor Von Drakenborg carries impressive stats and the Hypnotic Gaze ability, and is one of our most fearsome Star Players yet!

Here are the August events announced for Six Flags Great Adventure!

Fright Fest Zombie Auditions: August 5, 6, 12, 13 and 27

Six Flags Great Adventure is seeking individuals with a passion for Halloween – and scaring – as casting for the 2016 Fright Fest season continues this August in the Employment Center. More than 200 actors are needed for the scariest Fright Fest yet. Those interested are encouraged to apply at www.sixflagsjobs.com prior to the audition and should come prepared to bring out their inner zombie during fun group exercises. No costumes, props, previous acting or scare experience is required.

Six Flags Job Fair: August 14

Six Flags Great Adventure will host a job fair Sunday, July 17 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with on-the-spot interviews in the Employment Center. The world’s largest theme park is hiring smiling faces for four seasons of thrills. Positions are available from the summer through fall’s Fright Fest and winter’s Holiday in the Park, which ends January 1, 2017. Team members can work where they love to play, plus have the opportunity to make great friends, earn competitive wages, free tickets for friends and perks throughout the park. Applicants should complete the pre-employment application at www.sixflagsjobs.com prior to visiting the Employment Center. Those needing assistance or without internet access can complete the application onsite.

Caribbean Concert: August 14

Six Flags’ Plymouth Rock Assurance Arena hosts this summer’s Caribbean Concert August 14 at 6 p.m.featuring performances by Grammy Award nominee Luciano, reggae artist Capleton and more than 10 other acts. This event requires a separate admission ticket available for purchase at www.caribbeanconcerts.com

Undivided Concert: August 20

Six-time Grammy Award-winning Toby Mac and Diversecity will take the stage at the Plymouth Rock Assurance Arena August 20 at 7:30 p.m. The Christian hip-hop group has three Grammy-winning albums including Alive and Transported, Eye on It and This is Not a Test. Their hit “The Slam” was also featured in advertisements for Prison Break and The Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift. This event is included with regular theme park admission, Season Pass or active Membership.

Mega Concierto del Verano en Six Flags: August 27

Plymouth Rock Assurance Arena welcomes to Six Flags Great Adventure Plan B for the Mega Concert of the summer. Plan B is a Puerto Rican reggaeton duo consisting of cousins Chencho and Maldy. Dance along to their hits “Frikitona,” “Mencionando Tu Nombre,” “Plan B” and more. The show will begin at 5 p.m. August 27. This concert is free with regular theme park admission, Season Pass or active Membership.

Planet Coaster Gets Steam Pre-Order Date

Cambridge, UK – July 26, 2016 – Frontier Developments plc (AIM: FDEV) today announced their highly anticipated coaster park simulation, Planet Coaster, will launch on Steam in Q4 2016.

Planet Coaster will be made available for pre-order on Steam starting 25 August. Planet Coaster is already available for pre-order on FrontierStore.net, and all FrontierStore.net customers will receive a Steam key at launch.

Steam and Steam Workshop will form the backbone of Planet Coaster’s in-game community and sharing features starting with the launch of Planet Coaster Alpha 3 on23 August.

Following the launch of Planet Coaster Alpha 3 on 23 August, playing Planet Coasterwill require Steam. Alpha players will find a Steam key available on their FrontierStore.net profile starting 23 August. Steam is free and new players can create a Steam account here.

Planet Coaster Alpha access is available exclusively on FrontierStore.net until 25 August, when Frontier will close Alpha access to all new customers. Alpha 3 will launch via Steam, and will continue to be playable and supported by Frontier until Planet Coaster prepares to enter its Beta phase (date to be announced).

Archer Live Wows Comic-Con Attendees

FX Networks capped off the first day of San Diego Comic-Con with a special one-night only performance of the famed touring show Archer Live! aboard the Inspiration Hornblower yacht featuring special guest, Mr. Robot star Christian Slater. The deep dive into the universe of the beloved, Emmy®-nominated animated spy/P.I. comedy Archer featured cast members H. Jon Benjamin (Sterling Archer), Aisha Tyler (Lana Kane), Judy Greer (Cheryl Tunt), Chris Parnell (Cyril Figgis), Amber Nash (Pam Poovey), Lucky Yates (Krieger), series creator/executive producer Adam Reed (Ray Gillette) and executive producer Matt Thompson. Beloved series matriarch Jessica Walter (Malory Archer) made a surprise cameo toward the end of the reading of the popular season six episode, “Vision Quest.” Slater was also a surprise last minute addition to read the episode’s stage direction.

Escape from Tarkov The Customs Screenshots

July 21, 2016 – Battlestate Games has released a new screenshot pack from its in-development title Escape from Tarkov. The new screens, taken directly from the Alpha build of the the upcoming MMO/FPS combat simulation, showcases the first location “The Customs” that will be playable in the soon-to-launch Closed Alpha.

In “The Customs” most of the abandoned or occupied places are guarded by bands of civilian Scavengers who took over most of the Tarkov when the conflict started. These ‘Scavs’ are desperate for loot and ruthless in protecting what they have managed to salvage.

Escape from Tarkov is a hardcore story-driven MMO featuring elements of FPS and RPG. The events take place in the Russian city of Tarkov, which has been sealed of by roadblocks and sunk into the chaos of local warfare between private military companies. Escape from Tarkov’s Hazardous Environment Combat Simulator employs a number of custom system modules to create incredibly immersive gameplay and make players feel the reality of what is happening in the game.

Second Nioh Demo Available on August 23

Burlingame Calif. – July 21, 2016 – KOEI TECMO America today revealed new assets and information on the second downloadable demo for the highly-anticipated samurai action RPG Nioh, exclusively for the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system. This Beta Demo will be available via the PlayStation® Store from August 23 until September 6, after which point download and play of the demo will be disabled.

Following the overwhelming success of the Alpha Demo in April, Nioh returns with a Beta Demo featuring more intense and rewardingly dangerous gameplay. New challenges await players who venture deeper into the ominous world of Nioh, and in turn, new ways to conquer foes emerge. The long-range hand cannon rifle allows humans and Yokai alike to be taken down with a forceful blow, and a fresh selection of Katanas, Spears, Axes and Hammers will provide players with new options to suit their gameplay style. Among the demo’s locales is a new dojo stage which teaches players the basics of the game’s fast-paced combat system. Players will also be able to explore a to-be-announced stage in addition to the Usuki stage featured earlier this year in the Alpha Demo.

Blending a compelling narrative loosely based upon the tale of the first western samurai, William Adams, with a myriad of strange supernatural creatures from Japanese folklore (Yokai), players of Nioh will discover a diverse and comprehensive world dripping with lore. Vile and daunting creatures await challengers, who must learn their enemies’ tactics to gain an advantage in battle.

William is not alone against the perilous Yokai, however, as he will be accompanied by a diverse cast of characters who assist him on his travels across Japan. Hanzo Hattori, the head of the ninja clan retained by Ieyasu Tokugawa, serves as William’s guide through the country. Hanzo’s cat is possessed with the long-living spiritual guardian Nekomata, who aids William with his strong knowledge of the supernatural and history of the land. Muneshige and Ginchiyo Tachibana, experienced samurai and leaders of the Tachibana clan, also help William on his quest with their deadly fighting abilities. Both Tachibana leaders possess their own Raiken guardian spirits—creatures which control the element of Thunder—which come together to perform a devastating special attack.

To coincide with this announcement, KOEI TECMO America has released a batch of all-new screenshots introducing these characters and their guardian spirits, the explosive hand cannon, and the sinister Yokai which will be encountered on William’s journey.

Knotts Scary Farm 2016: Returning Scare Zones

July 20, 2016 — The largest and most haunting Halloween experience in Southern California, Knott’s Scary Farm, announced its 2016 returning scare zones, Ghost Town Streets, Fiesta De Los Muertos and CarnEVIL.

Ghost Town Streets is the original, largest, and most terrifying scare zone at the park which started it all. Bands of half-human, half-animal monsters prowl the streets and inhabit the fog. In Fiesta Village, Fiesta De Los Muertos fuses dance music, colorful costumes and larger than life stilt walkers in a dance party scare zone. On the Boardwalk, clowns crave undying attention in the CarnEVIL scare zone.

More hair-raising news will be unveiled for Scary Farm’s 44th season at Midsummer Scream and ScareLA. The world-renowned event features mazes, sinister shows and spectacular interactive experiences. Both events will host exclusive panels featuring the Scary Farm creators and designers.

(July 19, 2016) — With Comic-Con 2016 coming at us in a flash, the behind-the-scenes team at the Warner Bros. booth (#4545) is once again making a super heroic effort to create another must-see environment, including displays of actual production costumes from the hit Warner Bros. Television/The CW series Arrow, Supergirl and The Flash offering fans the chance to see how they measure up to their favorite Super Hero; a super-sized LEGO® Batman; a Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them Wand Master Training Station; and an exclusive giveaway of a limited edition set of WBTV series “Wish You Were Here” postcards, while supplies last, only available at the Warner Bros. Booth. Always a destination for Comic-Con fans, the Warner Bros. booth will deliver constant activities for fans to enjoy, including talent appearances, autograph signings and more.

Here’s a closer look at this year’s Warner Bros. booth activities:

THE FLASH, ARROW & SUPERGIRL

  • While the presence of Super Heroes at the Warner Bros. Booth is not an unprecedented event, for the first time ever, all three costumes for Arrow, The Flash and Supergirlfrom their respective series on The CW will be on display for fans to measure up against.
  • All three costumes were initially conceived and created by three-time Oscar®-winning costume designer Colleen Atwood. In Season Four of Arrow and Season Two of The Flash, series costume designer Maya Mani made some modifications to the two Super Hero costumes. In addition to the authentic production costumes, each of the super suits is modeled on a life-sized 3-D rendering, created from laser body scans of series stars Stephen Amell (Arrow), Grant Gustin (The Flash) and Melisa Benoist (Supergirl).
  • Arrow returns for its fifth season on Wednesday October 5, at 8/7c on The CW. The Flash returns for its third season on Tuesday, October 4, at 8/7c on The CW. Supergirlwill have its second season premiere Monday, October 10, at 8/7c on its new network home at The CW. Based on characters from DC, all three series are produced by Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television.
