1C Company’s Codex of Victory Gets Trailer and Release Date

March 3, 2017 – 1C is pleased to announce that Codex of Victory, a sci-fi turn-based strategy with real-time base building elements, will be released on March 16th 2017 (Windows, Linux and Mac OS) through Steam and other digital stores. Codex of Victory’s developers are Ino-Co Plus, experienced creators of Warlock, Majesty 2 and Elven Legacy.

Codex of Victory pits players, as star lords defending human territories on distant planets, against the armies of the transhuman Augments. Players expand their underground HQ to manufacture and upgrade an army of massive, advanced drone units before dropping them into turn-based battles in an interplanetary war for humankind. Fusing two closely-related strategic gameplay types, Codex of Victorywill keep players going throughout the game’s extensive singleplayer campaign. Further hours of gameplay can be had from head-to-head online combat, complete with detailed unit customization options.

About the game

Human society has been divided. On one side, the natural course of human evolution has been disrupted. What started as an attempt to adapt to the harsh conditions of outer space and hostile planets, led to the creation of a weird race of transhuman cyborgs – the Augments. Driven by a desire to ‘liberate’ ordinary humans from the limitations of their wholly organic bodies, the Augments have launched a full-scale attack. Now we must defend our territory and fight back, to save our Kingdoms and all of humanity as we know it!

Codex of Victory features an extensive story-driven, single-player campaign that tasks you with building and commanding a hi-tech army of drone vehicles, tanks and robots. The campaign offers an exciting mix of real-time base building, global strategic planning and turn-based combat. Travelling between planets and territories, your sole task is to stop the Augments.

Inspired by classics of the strategy genre, the base building element involves expanding your underground HQ in real-time. Collect room blueprints, build factories, research centers, workshops, laboratories and other facilities, to prepare for battles ahead. Global tactical oversight comes from your Planetary map, on which you’ll instantly see where your armies need to be deployed.

Engage in tactical turn-based combat on hex-mapped battlefields. Select your units and upgrades, deploy them to the battlefield using the terrain to your advantage and test your tactical skills in each mission. As you progress through the battles of the main storyline and the various randomly-generated side missions, you’ll gain access to over 25 units. Each type of unit comes in countless variations, thanks to a diverse range of upgrades and add-on modules. Build your best and put them to the test against the incoming Augments!

  • Exciting combination of turn-based combat and real-time base building
  • 20+ hours of story-based singleplayer campaign
  • Online multiplayer battles with detailed army customization options
  • 25+ unique units, each with countless variations
  • High replay value ensured by randomly generated missions
  • Neo-feudal sci-fi environment with vivid, cel-shaded graphics

DiRT 4 Day One and Special Editions Announced

Larkspur, Calif. – March 1, 2017 Codemasters & Deep Silver today announced that there will be a Day One Edition of DiRT® 4™ which will feature an exclusive Hyundai R5 rally car as well as a unique event* and Founder Icon. There will also be an exclusive Special Edition that will feature the Day One content plus a Team Booster Pack that give you a unique team offer, staff and facilities bonuses, and an additional Steelbook option which includes the Day One content with a limited edition steel box.

Double FIA World Rallycross Champion Petter Solberg and rally driver Kris Meeke have both been involved in the development of DiRT 4 and they give their thoughts on Your Stage, a game changing stage creation system, in the game’s latest video available here: https://youtu.be/R7mBlcwqSyU.

Your Stage allows you to produce a near infinite number of unique stages at the touch of a button in DiRT 4. Just select one of the five rally locations from within the game (Australia, Spain, Michigan, Sweden & Wales) and set the time of day and weather conditions. You adjust the route’s length and complexity using sliders before generating your own completely unique stage. If you are not happy with it, just press Generate again and create another. You can then race, share and challenge your friends to take on your bespoke stage.

Paul Coleman, DiRT 4’s chief game designer, commented, “Your Stage is something that we have been working on since the launch of DiRT 3 in 2011. It allows players to generate an almost infinite variety of stages at all of the rally locations in DiRT 4. It’s a revelation as now our players will get the thrill of driving a new stage whenever they want.”

“It is extremely simple for you to create a stage but, behind the scenes, we have an extraordinarily complex series of rules and algorithms that put these routes together. Your Stage creates such a huge variety of routes, some that we would never have thought of crafting before, and they’re amazing to drive.”

DiRT 4 will fearlessly race to the PlayStation® 4 computer entertainment system, Xbox One and Windows PC in June 2017. DiRT 4 takes the passion and authenticity of off-road racing in both rally and rallycross to the next level, whilst also reintroducing gamers to Landrush, thrilling short-course racing in trucks and buggies.

Zombie Gunship Survival Coming to Mobile Platforms

(San Francisco, CA) March 1, 2017Mobile gaming publisher flaregames has today – alongside developer Limbic – revealed the May 2017 launch date for Zombie Gunship Survival, the next installment in the #1 top-grossing Zombie Gunship franchise. Coming to both iOS and Android, flaregames and Limbic revealed the mobile shooter game’s anticipated launch date via a NEW TEASER TRAILER, with the team showing off the game’s high-definition visuals and intense scenario-based action at GDC 2017 this week.

In Zombie Gunship Survival, players take the gunner seat aboard a heavily-armed AC-130 aircraft and wage war against zombies. As a survivor of a full-scale zombie apocalypse, players gun down the undead from the skies and protect their ground troops during risky scavenging missions. After securing valuable resources needed for survival, players can upgrade their devastating weaponry and build a remote airfield, which acts both as a shelter for survivors as well as a base for players’ operations.

The second installment in the Zombie Gunship franchise, which received IGN’s “Editors’ Choice Award” in 2011, Zombie Gunship Survival features a user interface that follows first-person shooter (FPS) console game traditions like Call of Duty and Battlefield. Unlike many mobile games, players are fully involved in the action and are therefore in direct control of its outcome. Also, by unlocking new weapons and troops, the way players can approach specific battle scenarios is reinvented each time, leading to freshness of experience and deeper immersion.

“Zombie Gunship was conceived through our love of realistic shooters – set in dark worlds – that are common on PC and console, but not mobile,” said Arash Keshmirian, CEO and co-founder, Limbic. “One particular inspiration was from games like Call of Duty where you are providing fire support from the air — we’ve also drawn a lot from military shooters and simulations. With Zombie Gunship Survival, we’ve made enormous strides in the visuals, arsenal and battle gameplay and can’t wait to globally launch the game in May.”

“Limbic are a gaming publisher’s dream and a world-class development team with the vision to redefine the mobile shooter genre,” said Klaas Kersting, CEO and founder, flaregames. “Zombie Gunship Survival is a sequel millions of gamers have been waiting for, not least the huge fan base of the original game.”
