The night has come for Boston’s Camarilla, announcing the beginning of pre-orders for Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong, the Narrative RPG of Big Bad Wolf studio. The game will be available May 19th on PlayStation®4, PlayStation®5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and PC (Epic Games Store).

Mysterious assassins have attacked the Boston Camarilla – a secret society comprising most of the vampires in the city. Galeb Bazory, Emem Louis, and Leysha are tasked by the Prince of the city’s Kindred with learning the identity of the attackers as well as the motives underlying the large-scale attack. The orders are simple: infiltrate, investigate and get answers, using supernatural powers if necessary.

In this adaptation of the pen and paper game, players of Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong take control of three heroes with their own character sheets. Through their choices, they will shape the stats of their characters. Using their Skills, it is possible to pick a lock, intimidate an NPC or make more efficient deductions based on hints. The protagonists also have vampiric powers, known as Disciplines, allowing them to reach inaccessible areas, conceal their presence, or foresee potential futures.

Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong combines the exploration of a wide variety of environments, skillfully-crafted dialogs, clever puzzles, and a branching story where every choice comes with a consequence. The characters are finely developed and, faithful to the World of Darkness IP, reveal that they are monsters in spite of their human appearance.

With more than fifteen different endings for the main characters and the fate of Boston’s Camarilla, each Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong player will experience their own adventure in this unique Narrative RPG.

Blade Runner Tabletop RPG Coming To Kickstarter On May 3rd

Since the announcement of the BLADE RUNNER RPG by Free League and Alcon Entertainment back in September, the tabletop roleplaying community has been abuzz with anticipation. When the EN World news site recently held its annual vote for the Most Anticipated RPG of 2022, the BLADE RUNNER RPG claimed the top spot. Now Free League is excited to share that the game is coming to Kickstarter this May, then rolling out to retail this Fall.

The Kickstarter will debut on May 3rd at 6:00 am US Pacific Time (9 am US Eastern, 3 pm Central European). Backers and retailers alike eager to enlist should visit the Kickstarter pre-launch page and sign up to be notified the moment the campaign goes live. All backers who pledge within the first 24 hours will receive a bonus item soon to be revealed.

Details of the BLADE RUNNER RPG Kickstarter will be shared via the official website for the game and Free League’s social media accounts throughout the weeks leading up to launch.

Revealed back in September, the BLADE RUNNER RPG propels players into the neon noir streets of Los Angeles as Blade Runners. Set in the year 2037, the adventures begin shortly after the Wallace Corporation debuts the new Nexus-9 Replicants on Earth, giving players the choice to play as either human or Replicant Blade Runners with different specialties, personalities, and memories.

For a glimpse at the neon neverland to come, Free League has teased new artwork and several spreads from the upcoming Core Rulebook.

Apart from the core casework, the RPG will both in setting and mechanics also showcase key themes of Blade Runner – sci-fi action, corporate intrigue, existential character drama, and moral conflict – that encourage roleplay and challenge players to question your orders, empathize with your enemies, and make hard calls with high stakes and long-lasting implications.

Free League is one of the most funded RPG publishers on Kickstarter, raising over $9M across 28 successful campaigns including The One Ring, Vaesen, Forbidden Lands, and Tales from the Loop. Tomas Härenstam, Free League co-founder and lead game designer of the ALIEN RPG, fills the same role for the BLADE RUNNER RPG. Original artwork comes from lead ALIEN RPG artist Martin Grip, with Joe LeFavi of Genuine Entertainment, who also brokered the deal with Alcon for Free League, serving as the lead setting writer, brand manager, and producer on the game series.

Thunderful & Carry Castle have revealed that Source of Madness, their side-scrolling roguelite action-RPG, is coming to PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch on May 11th, alongside the full launch of the Steam version, after its successful run in Early Access. With ever-changing landscapes to explore and new monstrosities to face on every run, this Lovecraftian odyssey offers a truly unique spin on the genre. Upon the 1.0 launch, Source of Madness will increase in price to $19.99 / €19.99 / £16.99 on Steam and the launch price on console will be the same. Any Steam players wanting to secure Source of Madness at its current Early Access price can still purchase the game before May 11th.

Source of Madness puts players in the role of an acolyte in an alternate reality controlled by cosmic entities. These worlds warp and distort each day, leaving the Loam Lands unpredictably terraformed and inhabited by grotesque beings of celestial origins. To get to the source of this unknowable evil, your voyage will take you across nine biomes, from the depths of Dungeon of Forgotten Knowledge, the eerie landscape of the Forest of Lies, to the grand non-euclidean citadel R’Lyeh, all the way up to celestial bodies on the rims of the universe.

On PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, Source of Madness runs with up to 4K resolution at 60fps, keeping the action fluid and responsive. Back 4 Blood Expansion 1: Tunnels of Terror Launch Trailer

Warner Bros. Games and Turtle Rock Studios today revealed the launch trailer for Back 4 Blood – Expansion 1: Tunnels of Terror showing off the all-new action coming to the first-person co-op zombie shooter as part of the game’s first major downloadable content (DLC), set to release on April 12.

The trailer introduces two new playable Cleaners debuting in this expansion – Sharice, an axe-wielding firefighter known for her defensive prowess, and Heng, a tough as nails, no-nonsense restaurateur skilled at slaying Ridden with his knife. The video provides a detailed look at the new Ridden Hives PvE cooperative activity, where teams of up to four players can explore the cavernous depths of seven Ridden infested areas full of labyrinthine tunnels below Evansburgh. To earn rewards, players must outmaneuver the new Warped Ridden, including the landmine-setting Urchins, horrifying Shredders, and damage-dealing Rippers. These Ridden variations are also playable in PvP Swarm mode and can be earned, along with the new Cleaners, for use in PvP matches.

Additionally, the Tunnels of Terror expansion will include seven new legendary weapons, eight exclusive character skins, 12 new weapon skins, new cards, and more. The expansion will also coincide with the release of the No Hope difficulty, a free update for all Back 4 Blood owners adding an extra level of challenge for elite players. Please note, all playable content included in the expansion will be accessible by all players in a party as long as one player in that party has purchased the expansion.

Dune: Spice Wars Steam Early Access Date

Publishers Funcom and Developers Shiro Games are thrilled to announce that on April 26, Dune: Spice Wars enters Early Access. Marking the first time in two decades that players will be able to set foot on Dune in a game, Dune: Spice Wars has shot up the Steam wishlists chart since its recent announcement at The Game Awards 2021 in December.

This union between real-time strategy and 4X elements, based on Frank Herbert’s sci-fi masterpiece, Dune, pits four factions against each other on the desert planet of Arrakis, the only source of the most valuable resource in the universe: spice.

Along with the Early Access release, the fourth playable faction has also been revealed today as the Fremen. With a greater capacity to move across and withstand the open desert, less chance to attract colossal sandworms, and an improved ability to ally with hidden Sietches (neutral native settlements), the Fremen are uniquely poised to expand their area of influence in order to control the planet.
