Subnautica 2 Launches in Early Access on May 14

Unknown Worlds today announced that Subnautica 2 will launch in Early Access on May 14 (08:00 PDT) for $29.99 USD on PC and Xbox Series consoles. The sequel introduces a new alien ocean world, expanded survival systems, and for the first time in the series, optional four-player co-op, marking a major step forward for the franchise.

To support the announcement, the studio released a new cinematic trailer that offers a new look at the world and gameplay players can expect at launch.

The newly released trailer captures the series’ immersive world and atmosphere through cinematic storytelling. It seamlessly introduces new underwater vehicles and tools while unfolding a tense sequence where fellow explorers are threatened one by one by alien creatures, maximizing the franchise’s signature sense of awe and tension.

“We’re excited for players to experience Subnautica 2, beginning May 14th!” said Ted Gill, CEO of Unknown Worlds. “Our team cannot wait to hear your feedback as the game evolves throughout Early Access.”

Created by Unknown Worlds, founded by Charlie Cleveland and Max McGuire, Subnautica 2 is the official sequel to the Subnautica series, which has sold more than 18.5 million copies worldwide and helped define the ocean survival genre. The game has ranked No.1 on Steam’s wishlist for nine consecutive months since September 2025, making it one of the most highly anticipated titles of the year.

Set on a new alien world within the Subnautica universe, the game builds on the core exploration and survival experience with new systems and cooperative play.

Roadhouse Simulator Prologue Out May 19th

Roadhouse Simulator, the action-packed biker bar management simulator and prequel to the hit Gas Station Simulator which sold 2M units so far, dishes out a free Prologue chapter on PC via Steam on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, offering a taste of the tough life of a Route 66 bouncer and barback.

Relive the rowdy early years of Gas Station Simulator’s Uncle, starting out as a bouncer at a remote roadhouse on the long desert highway. Keep the place running smoothly by monitoring guests who enter, and maintain order through de-escalation whenever possible, or by stepping in to finish the fight when things get out of hand.

Climb the ranks from bouncer to bartender, mastering the art of attending to demanding patrons. Protect the roadhouse from rival biker gangs who aim to disrupt business, or exploit opportunities for shady deals. Operate discreetly to keep the local sheriff at bay, or risk inspections, fines, and even temporary shutdowns!

Roadhouse Simulator: Prologue offers an introductory peek at events leading up to the full game. After hours of trekking across the country in a rundown bus, set foot in the middle of nowhere and prepare to lock in for your new job, Bouncer. What awaits through those doors is a pack of rowdy patrons who clearly lack bar etiquette. Roll up your sleeves and set them straight, restoring order and running the establishment with an iron first. If you lack the guts to get the job done, sling the backpack over your shoulder and step back onto that shabby bus.

“With Roadhouse Simulator, we’re going back to the outlaw days of Route 66 and Gas Station Simulator,” said Joanna Tynor, CEO at DRAGO Entertainment. “The Uncle has been such a popular character in the Gas Station Simulator world, and we’re finally ready to explore his origin story – the prologue is just a first taste.”

A brand new demo for Roadhouse Simulator is also set to debut later this year ahead of the full game’s release. By this point, the Uncle will have a lot more experience under his belt, and players will be able to manage a fully operational bar experimenting with key features and game mechanics.

Roadhouse Simulator – Prologue launches Tuesday, May 19, 2026, on PC via Steam. For all the latest updates, be sure to follow DRAGO on X/Twitter and Facebook.

Razer and IO Interactive Partner to Deepen Immersion in 007 First Light

Razer™, the leading global lifestyle brand for gamers, today announced a strategic partnership with IO Interactive, the award-winning developer and publisher behind the globally acclaimed HITMAN franchise, and Amazon MGM Studios to deliver heightened immersion and precision in their upcoming title, 007 First Light.

007 First Light is a story‑driven action‑adventure that tells a standalone, re‑imagined origin story of James Bond. Players step into the shoes of a 26‑year‑old Bond, a promising yet rebellious Royal Navy air crewman recruited into MI6 and trying to earn the number in the newly resurrected 00 section.

Within this setting, Razer Sensa™ HD Haptics and Razer Chroma™ RGB technology extend Bond’s world beyond the screen, using purpose-built integrations that heighten the impact of his decisions, close calls, and narrow escapes, enhancing how key moments are perceived and reacted to in play.

Bond’s Instincts, Brought to Life

007 First Light invites players to experience Bond’s ascent inside MI6, where situational awareness, timing, and decisive action are crucial. IO Interactive’s systems‑driven gameplay rewards reading the room, managing risk, and executing under pressure. The partnership with Razer focuses on translating those high‑stakes moments into a richer sensory layer that supports gameplay rather than distracting from it.

On PC, Razer Sensa™ HD Haptics can deliver over 80 curated haptic effects precisely tuned for 007 First Light’s stealth sequences and combat. This includes firing a pistol, pulling off a quiet takedown, pushing a vehicle to its limits during a chase, and more. Each feedback follows the rhythm and intensity of each action, helping players feel changes in danger and pressure as situations escalate.

At the same time, Razer Chroma™ RGB can unlock over 80 reactive lighting effects that respond in real time to mission states, alerts, and environmental changes across Chroma-enabled setups, allowing shifts in tension and danger to flow beyond the screen.

These integrations are experienced across select Razer peripherals chosen to showcase how haptics and lighting complement the game’s pacing and atmosphere.

Razer Sensa™ HD Haptics comes to life through devices such as the Razer Kraken V4 Pro headset, Razer Wolverine V3 Pro controller, and Razer Freyja HD haptic gaming cushion, reinforcing impact and escalation during critical encounters.

Razer Chroma™ RGB extends Bond’s world visually across devices, including the Razer Basilisk V3 Pro 35K and Razer Cobra HyperSpeed mice, the Razer Firefly V2 Pro mouse mat, the Razer BlackWidow V4 Pro 75% keyboard, the Razer Kraken V4 headset, and the Razer Blade 16 (2026), heightening atmosphere without pulling focus away from play.

For players who want to stay connected to the mission away from their primary setup, Razer PC Remote Play enables 007 First Light to be streamed to mobile displays, with the Razer Kishi V3 Pro XL providing console‑style control on the go.

007 First Light captures the moments Bond becomes Bond in this re-imagined origin story – the choices he makes, the risks he takes, and how he experiences the world around him,” said Andreas Krogh, Gameplay Director, IO Interactive. “From a silent takedown to a decisive shot, Bond’s identity is built around calm decision‑making in high-pressure situations. Working with Razer allowed us to reflect those moments through subtle feedback that keeps the experience grounded, cinematic, and personal.”

Immersion With Intent, Not Spectacle

The collaboration continues Razer’s approach to developer-authored integrations, where hardware features are mapped directly to gameplay cues and atmosphere. Rather than simply adding louder explosions or brighter flashes, the focus is on using high-definition feedback to support stealth, escalation, and impact.

A quiet infiltration, a risky improvisation, or a sudden shift from covert to overt action can each be paired with distinct sensory responses, helping players track changing conditions without overloading them. The intent is to strengthen the link between what happens on screen and how players perceive and respond to it.

007 First Light will join Razer’s broader immersive ecosystem, now integrated with over 100 titles across genres, each using curated effects to complement original game design and atmosphere.

A Modern Take on Bond, A Modern Take on Immersion

As 007 First Light brings James Bond back to video games with a standalone origin story, the partnership between Razer and IO Interactive reflects a contemporary approach to interactive storytelling – one where hardware and software are considered together from the outset to enhance atmosphere, perception, and emotional engagement.

Players are not only witnessing Bond’s transformation into a 00 agent; they are inhabiting it more fully, with their Razer setups tuned to the same intent, control, and precision that define the character.

007 First Light launches on May 27, 2026. Pre-order now and get a free deluxe edition upgrade, including 24-hour early access*. All details can be found at https://ioi.dk/007firstlightgame.

Starbreeze Entertainment, creator and publisher of the PAYDAY gaming franchise, today announced a partnership with Gamefam, the leading immersive gaming and media company for Gen Z and Alpha communities, to develop a new PAYDAY game on Roblox, launching later this year.

The new Gamefam-developed experience will offer players a distinct new entry point into the PAYDAY universe. Roblox, which now has 145 million DAU (up 70% YoY), continues to grow in importance as a key platform for Starbreeze to connect with its existing PAYDAY fanbase and build all-new fans.

The announcement marks the next step in Starbreeze’s strategy to grow the PAYDAY franchise across platforms, building on the success of Notoriety: A PAYDAY® Experience on Roblox, developed by Moonstone Games under license, which has surpassed 400 million visits and holds a 92% player approval rating, establishing PAYDAY as one of Roblox’s most successful co-op franchises.

Gamefam brings extensive experience developing and operating some of Roblox’s most-played games, with a 50+ game portfolio that has surpassed 37 billion gameplay sessions to date and 16 million daily gameplay sessions. Gamefam has been the go-to Roblox partner for major game publishers including SEGA (Sonic Speed Simulator) and Ubisoft (Brawlhalla) and global brands including Old Navy, Intuit, Paramount and FIFA.

“PAYDAY has an incredibly dedicated and loyal community on Roblox, and we recognise how important these fans are to the franchise’s future,” said Matt Dixon, Chief Growth Officer, Starbreeze Entertainment. “Notoriety has built its own community around both the experience and the IP, and that’s a real achievement. Our primary goal is to entertain our players, and that means giving them even more ways to enjoy PAYDAY content and immerse themselves in the world of heisting. Partnering with Gamefam gives us the capability and expertise to build something new that sits perfectly alongside what Moonstone has created with Notoriety. We’re committed to being where our players are.”

“PAYDAY is one of gaming’s most iconic co-op franchises, and its community on Roblox is a testament to its enduring appeal,” said Bruce Maclean, SVP and Studio GM, Gamefam. “Our game will extend the legacy of PAYDAY with Gen Z and Alpha, right where they hang out daily, while creating something that feels native to the platform and genuinely fun for Roblox players, whether they’re coming in as PAYDAY fans or discovering the franchise for the first time.”
