Today, Funday Games and Ghost Ship Publishing launched Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor on PlayStation 5! The hit survivor-like follows space dwarves deep into the crust of planet Hoxxes IV on a mission to extract valuable minerals, upgrade gear, and avoid an untimely death at the hands of encroaching enemies.

The title has seen huge success since its Early Access Launch on PC in February 2024, selling over 2 million copies and earning the trust of the foolhardy Deep Rock Galactic community. 1.0 saw its launch on Xbox Series X|S, followed closely by iOS and Android ports for miners on the go. Nintendo Switch 1&2 ports are to follow on 9th October for Europe and America*.

Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor invites eager miners to:

  • Dig into Bullet Heaven: The single-player auto-shooter pits players against massive swarms of lethal aliens, shifting player focus to dodging bugs and blasting through hordes automatically.
  • Carve Their Own Path: Workers can bore through solid rock to escape deadly enemies or tunnel straight towards precious minerals embedded deep within the cavernous walls of Hoxxes IV – adding a tactical layer to the survivor-like playstyle.
  • Mine Their Business: Lone miners must complete high-stakes mission objectives handed down by Management, upgrading their lethal arsenal and extracting via Drop Pod with a hefty sack of loot.
  • Rock a Fresh Perspective: The title reimagines the Deep Rock Galactic universe through an action-packed top-down lens, delivering procedurally generated caves where no two missions are ever the same.

“We’ve had a great time making Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor,” says Jacob Laurits Besenbacher Kjeldsen, producer at Funday Games. “Adapting the game into a single-player bullet-heaven auto shooter felt like a natural fit. Rock and Stone!”

Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor is available on Steam, iOS, Android, Xbox, and PlayStation 5, with Nintendo Switch ports to launch on 9th October for Europe and America.
