Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced Surpasses 3 Million Copies Sold in its First Week

Today, Vantage Studios, a Ubisoft company, announced that Assassin’s Creed™ Black Flag Resynced, the latest installment in the Assassin’s Creed franchise, has sold more than 3 million copies worldwide since its July 9 release. The milestone follows 2 million copies sold on day one and reflects continued momentum during the game’s first week.

Following strong critical reception, player sentiment has been increasingly positive, with Steam user reviews rated “Very Positive.” This reflects the team’s responsive post-launch support including quality-of-life updates, bug fixes, and the recent announcement of the highly requested New Game+ mode, which will further enhance replayability.

Building on the legacy of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, originally released in 2013, Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is a faithful remake rebuilt from the ground up and powered by the latest Anvil engine. Led by Ubisoft Singapore*, the game features stunning updated visuals and enriched gameplay, including parry‑driven combat, improved stealth and parkour, deeper naval mechanics, and new narrative content.

Set during the Golden Age of Piracy, Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced invites players to sail the Caribbean as Edward Kenway, a rebellious pirate captain drawn into the centuries-old conflict between Assassins and Templars. As Edward pursues glory and fortune, he crosses paths with legendary figures such as Blackbeard, Anne Bonny, and Calico Jack, while the fate of everything the pirates have built hangs in the balance.

Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is available on Ubisoft+**, PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, and for Windows PC through the Ubisoft Store, Steam, and the Epic Games Store. The game is Steam Deck verified.

SAW: Genesis Enters Closed Alpha Testing Ahead of Gamescom Showcase

Following its official reveal at Summer Game Fest, SAW: Genesis is entering its Closed Alpha phase as the development team prepares to showcase the game at Gamescom. The first playtest will start July 16, giving players an early look at the asymmetrical horror experience set in the iconic SAW universe. This testing phase marks the beginning of an ongoing development program, with future playtests planned ahead of Early Access and continued collaboration with the community.

Developed by Broken Mirror Games and Anshar Studios, in collaboration with Lionsgate and published by Bloober Team, SAW: Genesis is a 3v1 asymmetrical multiplayer horror game in which three Accused are pressure-driven to work together to escape a maze of traps which have been orchestrated by a single Judge. Players face nail-biting tests and impossible moral choices, with survival coming at a steep cost. Set in the grim aftermath of World War I, SAW: Genesis allows players to take part in either side of this unnerving confrontation in intense matches played on procedurally generated maps.

The SAW: Genesis Closed Alpha playtest will feature a structured onboarding process designed to support focused testing, with participation granted through a survey-based selection process that enables a diverse pool of play testers. The rollout began on July 10 with Steam keys and server access distributed in phases following the completion of onboarding. During the playtest, players can form parties of up to three Accused, while matchmaking assembles a complete lobby by pairing each group with a fourth player taking on the role of the Judge.

Feedback gathered during the SAW: Genesis Closed Alpha will help refine multiplayer balance, evaluate technical performance, improve core mechanics, and evolve the game’s meta for a more engaging and replayable experience. As development continues, additional testing phases will grow in scale, size, and accessibility.

Upcoming Rhythm Game Stage Tour Unveils SDCC 2026 Presence

RedOctane Games, a leading development studio in rhythm music gaming, unveiled today a host of Stage Tour announcements, following their recent debut at IGN Live 2026. Inspired by the energy of live performance, music culture, and the community that continues to fuel the genre, Stage Tour is set to reignite the rhythm game genre when it launches later this year.

Headlining the announcement is an exclusive partnership with Dark Horse Comics, bringing the world of Stage Tour to comics for the first time through a special one-shot issue debuting at San Diego Comic-Con 2026. Expanding the lore of the Stage Tour universe, the comic offers fans a new way to experience the bandmates that help shape the world behind the game, featuring cover art by Kim Hu (Rollerdrome, Killtopia: Nano Jams), script by Zoe Tunnell (Blade Maidens, Godzilla: Valentine’s Day Special), art by Liana Kangas (Know Your Station, TRVE KVLT), colors by Diana Sousa (Critical Role: Vox Machina Origins, Star Wars: The High Republic Adventures), and lettering by Comicraft’s Tyler Smith (Star Wars: Hyperspace Stories, Conan the Barbarian).

The limited-edition comic will be available exclusively to SDCC attendees while supplies last and will also be included as a free bonus collectible with future Stage Tour hardware bundle pre-orders.

“Stage Tour is about bringing people together through the shared experience and love of music,” said Jack Guinchard, Head of Marketing and Brand at RedOctane Games. “Partnering with Dark Horse Comics allows us to expand the world of Stage Tour beyond the game itself, giving fans a fresh new way to connect with its bandmates through something exclusive that they can discover, collect, and share.”

RedOctane Games also confirmed today that Stage Tour is confirmed for release on PlayStation®5, XBOX Series X|S, Nintendo® Switch™2, and PC. Steam wishlists are available now, with PlayStation 5 and XBOX Series X|S wishlists and pre-orders to follow.

Experience Stage Tour at SDCC

Attendees visiting San Diego Comic-Con will have the opportunity to experience Stage Tour for themselves, heading over to Booth #2834 to be one of the first to go hands-on with the latest closed alpha build, playable on custom-built arcade cabinets developed in partnership with Paradox Arcades.

The playable demo will feature a selection of previously announced songs, while showcasing the latest gameplay refinements shaped by feedback from IGN Live attendees and the growing community of closed alpha testers.

In addition to the game, attendees will be among the first to experience the official Kramer Guitar Controller for Stage Tour. Pre-production demo units of the officially licensed controller-featuring the classic design of Kramer guitars-will be available throughout the event, giving fans an exclusive early look at the hardware ahead of its planned release and securing their own controller for themselves ahead of launch.

Fans can also pick up the exclusive Stage Tour comic at both the Stage Tour booth (#2834) and the Dark Horse Comics booth (#2615) while supplies last.

The sixteen songs revealed so far represent a small preview of the soundtrack planned for launch. Fans can expect additional song reveals, gameplay updates, and major announcements throughout the summer as Stage Tour builds toward pre-orders and its release later this year.

Built for the Stage

Built around the fantasy of forming a band and becoming a rockstar, Stage Tour combines classic 5-fret rhythm gameplay with modern progression, customization, and replayability. Battlefield 6 and Top Gun Join Forces

Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ: EA) and Battlefield Studios today revealed a first look at Battlefield 6™ and Battlefield REDSEC, delivering the franchise’s largest seasonal update to date with Naval Warfare, new content, and a meticulously crafted knockout Top Gun crossover experience in partnership with Paramount Games Studio. The update will include the F-18/Super Hornet and iconic F-14 Tomcat, fan-favorite characters from Top Gun, as well as two new modes inspired by the franchise’s iconic aerial combat.

Three characters from Top Gun come to life in-game, fully voiced by their original performers: Lt. Bradley “Rooster” Bradshaw (Miles Teller), Lt. Robert “Bob” Floyd (Lewis Pullman), Adm. Solomon “Warlock” Bates (Charles Parnell), with Top Gun-inspired character skins and cosmetics available in-game.

“It’s a huge honor to appear in a long-running franchise like Battlefield with its millions of fans, and talented people working on it,” said Miles Teller. “And with Top Gun, it’s like two titans meeting.”

“I’ll actually be the one giving orders in-game, which I love,” said Charles Parnell, “If it’s my voice that pushes players on to clutch a win, that’s awesome.”

Carrier Strike is a new Battlefield 6 mode debuting during this collaboration that pits naval, air, and ground forces against one another as teams seek to destroy the enemy aircraft carrier in a showdown creating an incredible blending of Battlefield and Top Gun’s defining characteristics.

“Battlefield is very intense, whether you’re in the sky or on the ground or fighting in the sea, “ said Lewis Pullman, “In that way, it’s a perfect pairing with Top Gun.”

Players can also jump into a new Gauntlet mission for Battlefield REDSEC, a jets-only combat mission set on a reworked version of Tsuru Reef, where they compete to be the best of the best.

“Jets. Adrenaline. The drive to be the best. Battlefield’s unmatched sense of scale is the perfect way to bring Top Gun’s iconic and cinematic aerial combat to life.” says Ryan McArthur, Executive Producer. “We can’t wait for our players to experience the update when it hits on August 18 but our collaboration is also just a piece of Battlefield 6’s biggest season yet.”

Season 4 officially kicks off on July 21 with Phase 1 (Pacific Front) introducing the biggest map in Battlefield 6 yet, Tsuru Reef. This massive Pacific theater battleground features vast air and sea spaces as well as naval aircraft carriers with operational flight decks, and the introduction of our new Dynamic Wave System. This system adds a new dimension to ocean combat, where waves affect boat movement, player aim, and line of sight, allowing players to strategically ambush, flank, and use as cover in firefights.

Phase 2 (Top Gun) debuts on August 18th with Battlefield and Top Gun’s collaboration content alongside a reimagining of one of Battlefield’s classic maps, Wake Island. The final phase of Season 4 (Tidal Strike) releases on September 15 and includes a collection event offering rewards for those who complete naval-based contracts and challenges.

“When Battlefield 6 launched, it had a strong core of content that we’ve grown over time, using feedback from the community to make the game even better,” says Byron Beede, General Manager of Battlefield. “With the addition of Naval Warfare, our Top Gun collaboration, our largest map, and so much more, Season 4 is our biggest update yet and is the perfect opportunity for players old and new to dive in.”

Season 4 will also see the release of several eagerly anticipated updates to the game. Battlefield Studios is rolling out a series of quality-of-life updates, with Spectator Mode and the Portal Custom Lobby launching this season.

Star Trek: Voyager – Across the Unknown Launches Expansion Pass and First Story DLC

Publisher Daedalic Entertainment and developer gameXcite are today expanding the universe of Star Trek: Voyager – Across the Unknown with the launch of the Expansion Pass and its first DLC, “Delta Chronicles”. A free update (Patch 1.8) is also available today for all players. For those just starting their journey, the new Captain’s Collection includes the base game, the Deluxe Edition content, and the Expansion Pass. The Expansion Pass, Delta Chronicles DLC, free Patch 1.8, and Captain’s Collection are all available now on PC and consoles. The Expansion Pass is available for USD 29.99 across all available platforms.

Now available, the first DLC “Delta Chronicles” presents five new side missions based on some of the series’ most memorable episodes – Distant Origin, The Omega Directive, Cold Fire, Homestead and Inside Man – each with the branching decisions and meaningful consequences that define the base game, allowing players to choose different outcomes than in the show. Two new heroes join the playable roster: Reginald Barclay in holographic form and Professor Forra Gegen of the reptilian Voth, both with their own unique combat abilities. Four new NPC ships further expand the Delta Quadrant’s lineup, including the imposing Voth City Ship and a Ferengi Marauder that can be recruited as an ally. New technologies round out the package.

Alongside the new DLC content, Patch 1.8 brings a broad range of free content and improvements to Star Trek: Voyager – Across the Unknown, including seven new ship quests and events, refined tech tree descriptions, UI upgrades, adjusted balancing, and quality-of-life improvements shaped in close collaboration with the game’s highly active community.

The Expansion Pass charts a course through additional premium content to be released in the coming months. Highlights on the horizon include a second set of side missions, the USS Equinox as a playable starship for an upcoming game mode and a new sector based on one of the most celebrated episodes in Voyager history. In total, the Expansion Pass includes four premium DLCs, each adding substantial new content to the game – from new story missions and playable characters to new ships and new technologies – and thus entirely new ways to experience the Delta Quadrant, warranting another playthrough even for seasoned Captains. Full details on each upcoming DLC will be revealed in the months ahead.

Beyond the premium content, the team is committed to a series of free updates for all players. In addition to the recently released Delta Flyer, further free content is planned – including new ship quests and, later this year, a major new game mode taking Star Trek: Voyager – Across the Unknown in an exciting new direction with countless hours of additional playtime. More details on this free update will be shared soon.

The Expansion Pass for Star Trek: Voyager – Across the Unknown is available now across all major platforms and digital storefronts. DLC 1 “Delta Chronicles” is also available as a standalone purchase.

Shipping Store Simulator 2037 Release Date Trailer

Moments ago at the Convergence Showcase, publisher SayGames and developer PLAYSTROM overnight delivered the release date for Shipping Store Simulator 2037, the management sim with robotic employees, coming to PC via Steam on Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2026.

This release marks the first time SayGames has launched a PC-first experience, following the multiplatform success of My Little Universe and more than eight billion downloads across its portfolio.

Opening up Rocket Post for package pickup and delivery was a risky endeavor, especially with QuickBox dominating deliveries in the city of Cranelock. Starting with just a small shop and a few bucks, receive incoming deliveries, label packages, and hand them to customers for pickup. It can all seem like too much…thankfully it’s the year 2037, and robots help!

Keep Rocket Post running smoothly by assigning droids to handle key tasks, while also balancing the budget and finding new opportunities to expand. Help maintain the android staff, as they sometimes need repairs, slip on spills in the store, or catch on fire. Treat them well, purchase supplies as necessary, and enjoy the satisfaction of turning Rocket Post into a well-oiled logistics machine.

As Rocket Post expands, Cranelock’s VIPs will take notice of its success, and want to do business. Let the automatons hold down the fort while performing “white glove” deliveries via van, drone, and other methods to expand into Cranelock’s premier shipping solution.

“Shipping Store Simulator 2037 finds that sweet spot between something that’s cozy and relaxing to play while providing the fun that comes from building up your business,” said Ivan Bogdanchuk, CEO and Founder, PLAYSTROM. “If you like to min-max everything possible, or just enjoy unwinding with meaningful progress in a low-stakes environment, our game has something for all fans of the genre.”

Shipping Store Simulator 2037 releases on Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2026 on Steam for PC. The game will support English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Russian, Polish, Japanese, Korean, and Simplified Chinese language text. Play the demo today on Steam.

For more information on Shipping Store Simulator 2037, visit the official website, join the official Discord server, and follow SayGames on X (formerly Twitter), Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn.

Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival Horror Dev Diary

Saber Interactive and Boss Team Games have released a new developer diary video for Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival, the survival-horror action game coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam on Oct. 8, 2026. Join series legend Doug Bradley (voice of Pinhead) and the development team for a new deep dive on the game, this time learning more about the disturbing enemies and themes you’ll face on your journey and how the creation of this content affected the development team.

Horror fans will of course be familiar with the Cenobites, the infamous beings of extraordinary power from the Hellraiser films led by Pinhead. Demons to some, angels to others, the Cenobites don’t abide by easy rules of morality, instead driven to push the extreme boundaries of pain and pleasure. But while the Cenobites play a pivotal role in the story of Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival, players will have to battle against two other key factions.

The first is the Scarlet Church, a cult led by a charismatic figure named Marlowe. The Church hopes to establish contact with the Cenobites and seeks to use the mysterious Genesis Configuration puzzle box to create a debauched paradise for themselves.

The other group is the Unworthy, once-human wretches who sought after the ultimate experiences of sensation but were denied by Leviathan, ruler of the otherworldly Labyrinth. These rejects of Hell, monsters who think and behave differently from the cultists of the Church, are drawn to the Genesis Configuration as a potential path to redemption.

Both the Scarlet Church and the Unworthy will offer completely different combat experiences, each with their own challenges to overcome. Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival gives players multiple ways to fight back, including the infernal powers of the Genesis Configuration, an arsenal of earthly weapons, and a grisly dismemberment system. But beware – the Labyrinth has its own unsettling traps and challenges to survive.

Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival is available to pre-order now on consoles at major retailers. The Standard and Deluxe editions will be available to pre-order digitally soon. Fans can also pre-order one of two special Collector’s Editions of the game NOW featuring a variety of exclusive, licensed collectibles at hellraiser.bossteamgames.com. Collector’s Edition pre-orders will unlock all Deluxe Edition and pre-order bonus content, including the Labyrinth Pistol Skin and Martyr Sawblade Skin.

Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival is coming to Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on October 8. For more info, visit www.HellraiserGame.com, and stay hooked to the latest news and updates on X/Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and YouTube.
