Born on the doomed planet Krypton, the preteen Kara escaped at the same time as the infant Kal-El, but didn’t arrive on Earth until many years later after being lost in the Phantom Zone. Now age 24, living in National City and working as an assistant for Catco Worldwide Media mogul Cat Grant, Kara has spent so many years trying to fit in that she forgot to ever stand out. All that changes when she decides to embrace her superhuman abilities and become the hero she was always destined to be. With the help of Daily Planet photographer James Olsen, her foster sister Alex, and the research of the super-secret, off-the-grid Department of Extra-Normal Operations (DEO) and its head, Hank Henshaw, who are tasked with keeping the Earth safe from aliens, Kara takes to the skies to protect her world.

As Weller and his teammates at the FBI begin to investigate the veritable treasure map that is Jane Doe’s tattoos, they are drawn into a high-stakes underworld that twists and turns through a labyrinth of secrets and revelations — and the information they uncover might ultimately change the world.
  • Containment: When a mysterious and deadly epidemic breaks out in Atlanta, a vast urban quarantine is quickly enforced, forcing those stuck on the inside to fight for their lives while local and federal officials desperately search for a cure in Containment. Torn apart from their loved ones, the survivors trapped within the cordon are fighting against not only fatal infection, but also isolation, fear and the disintegration of society around them. But as they begin to gain each other’s trust, hope remains, and on either side of the cordon unlikely heroes will rise.

Act of Aggression The Chimera Faction Trailer

act_of_aggression_12

June 10, 2015 — Set in a near-future setting, Act of Aggression, techno-thriller RTS releasing this September for PC – from Eugen Systems, developers of the million selling Wargame series – draws inspiration in its three unique factions from real life technology and cutting-edge prototypes. In a series of trailers designed to showcase the strengths and weaknesses of each of the three factions, let us introduce the Chimera, a versatile global task-force.

Take a look at the video below to see the versatility of the Chimera in action:

With an HQ that also acts as a power-reserve there’s no stopping the development of the Chimera’s diverse military capabilities; a heavy reliance on unmanned UAVs for exploration and transport, the Chimera can put its manpower into super-soldiers with exoskeletons.

Next time, we’ll be taking a look at the Cartel – a shady private military company armed with the latest prototypical technology, including some illusive and exciting stealth technology making The Cartel incredibly hard to spot.

Until then, here’s a brief breakdown of each of the three factions in Act of Aggression.

  • The Cartel, stealthy operatives born out of private military contracts, with the latest prototypes. Fragile and expensive, but stealthy and powerful this secretive faction is difficult to master.
  • The US Army: exhausted by endless fighting across the world, are brute-force veterans; they can skill up in specific roles and improve their veterancy, but use current generation technology.
  • The Chimera: a UNO funded task force designed to have a plan in mind for every situation. You can mould their units through upgrades into specific roles, or leave them as a jack-of-all-trades.

Across large, authentic maps, players will harvest resources, build bases strategically, defend them, and produce all kinds of units to match the wit of their opponent. Extend your base network with off-base refineries for harvesting resources, and protect supply networks ensuring a stable income of cash and minerals. You’ll even fight other players for occupied banks as a supplementary income, and capture crews bailing out from tanks and planes or wounded on the battlefield to take as prisoners of war.

Act of Aggression launches in September 2015 on PC.

Beautiful New Space Hulk: Deathwing Screenshots

spacehulk_deathwing-05

June 9, 2016 — Team up and shoot Genestealers in the face in Space Hulk: Deathwing, Streum On’s FPS adaptation on PC and consoles of Games Workshop’s classic boardgame, now revealed in all new screenshots.

Additionally to its solo game mode, Space Hulk: Deathwing features class-based cooperative team-play and will demand not only savvy hand-eye coordination, but also clever use of squad tactics coordinated by the Librarian; the leader of your Terminator squad. Each player will make use of their role and specialization to wade through swarms of approaching Genestealers, and reach objectives as you advance through the story.

With a narrative written by renowned Black Library author Gav Thorpe, the game takes players on a grand and immersive journey through the infested hallways of a labyrinth of space ships.
As a Librarian, players will be able to make use of powerful psychic abilities, and give orders to their squad to avoid being flanked, secure doorways…

Streum On Studio have crafted a dynamic AI system that scales attacks depending on the ability of the player squad, ensuring players will always be challenged. If you’re doing well, the Genestealers will intensify their assault, but as you begin to weaken, they’ll not unnecessarily risk their numbers. You’ll have to work as a team in multiplayer – or give the right orders to your AI squad in single player – to survive the harsh realities of war in a Space Hulk.

Come and see Space Hulk: Deathwing live at E3 2015 in Los Angeles. The developers will be there (Focus Home Interactive booth: West Hall #5312) to show you more of the game and unveil exclusive info.

Space Hulk: Deathwing will release in 2016 on PC and consoles.

Built by a small team with big ideas and big talent, Goliath is slated for release on Steam (PC), Mac, and Linux in winter 2016 and explores the concept of survival in a world of giants, dropping players into a world at war where massive monsters roam. Fortunately, players can build giants of their own! Survive and search the world to discover the materials needed to craft tools and weapons, including Goliaths – giant robotic suits that will help even the odds against the enormous creatures that rule the land!

Goliath will be shown to the masses for the first time at this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in Los Angeles June 16th – June 18th at booth #8005 in the Concourse Hall.

In Goliath, players find themselves in a mysterious land consisting of the jumbled fragments of a hundred dead civilizations. Several powerful factions battle for control of this strange and broken world, but even the mightiest amongst them tremble in fear of the monstrous giants that roam the land. To survive among these giant creatures, players must scavenge for resources and materials needed to create Goliaths to either use for battle or barter for their very lives. Starting with simple wooden versions, players will learn to create dozens of Goliaths from a variety of materials: wood, stone, metal and other more unique materials found throughout the world. The Goliaths can be customized and outfitted with weapons to create loadouts for various situations and players’ battle preferences. But giant robots won’t solve every problem. Players will also need to craft items and tools for basic survival, build shelters and fortresses, and choose which factions to support in the war that’s sweeping across the land.

Features

·         Build A ‘Bot Factory: Learn how to create dozens of robotic Goliath suits from a variety of materials, including wood, stone, metal and more. Each Goliath can be customized and equipped with a variety of weapons – after players have learned how to craft them, of course.

·         Survive A Savage Land: Gather materials to build the tools needed to survive, including healing salves, protective fortresses and more. As players explore the world, they’ll learn more complex recipes for better tools and weapons.

·         Choose A Side: The world of Goliath is populated with several factions that vie for control of resources and territory. These factions include humans, the sentient robotic beings The Created, the demon-like Daemonari, and the elusive Forest Folk. Each faction can offer different strategic advantages in unique weapon and robot plans, and players must carefully choose with which factions to align themselves. Players can attempt to broker peace or rally their faction to accelerate the war!

·         Procedurally Generate World: Players will explore a unique world with every game, thanks to a procedurally generated world.

·         A Living World: Explore rolling prairies, dense forests, eerie swamps, frozen tundras and more, all with a complete day/night cycle and dynamic weather. Weather and terrain will affect how each of the robots performs, so players will need to make sure they have the right machine for the job!

·         Co-Op and Competitive Multiplayer: Players can play through Goliath’s campaign with a friend in cooperative gameplay or go head-to-head in arena combat!
