Universal Studios and CityWalk Celebrate National Doughnut Day Tomorrow

Universal City, May 31, 2018 – With a whole day to celebrate everyone’s favorite pastry, doughnut-lovers need look no further than Universal CityWalk and Universal Studios Hollywood to get their fill on National Doughnut Day, which takes place on Friday, June 1.

Between the open-air entertainment complex and theme park, guests have plenty to celebrate with lots of sweet indulgence in all shapes and sizes at Voodoo Doughnut, Sparky’s Mini Donuts, and Springfield’s famous Lard Lad Donuts.

Guests can also capture their love of donuts at the recently-opened retail shop, Nectar Bath Treats which features a delicious “Donut Love” photo op wall display and selection of donut-inspired soaps.

The ever-popular Voodoo Doughnut, created by Kenneth “Cat Daddy” Pogson and Tres Shannon, serves a range of 60 eclectic doughnuts, including vegan options and the Hollywood Cream, created exclusively for Universal CityWalk. A variety of scrumptious flavored doughnuts include Grape Ape, Mango Tango, the Voodoo Bubble and Bacon Maple Bar as well as their signature Voodoo Doll. To commemorate National Doughnut Day, Voodoo Doughnut will also offer an exclusive Strawberry Confetti doughnut throughout the weekend, from June 1-3.

Mmmmm donut! Who doesn’t love them, and at Universal Studios Hollywood, guests visiting Springfield, hometown of America’s favorite animated family, the Simpsons, can delight in the sweet circular treat – LARD LAD DONUTS, an amazing cooked cake confection made fresh daily. Selections include “The Big Pink” famous giant creamy pink-frosted sprinkled donut, and the “Flavor of the Day” giant donuts, including Maple Bacon, Chocolate Glazed and S’mores.

Sparky’s Mini Donuts was created by food entrepreneur Trish Conklin and made famous at San Francisco’s Pier 39. At the Universal CityWalk location, guests can watch donuts made fresh to order right before their eyes where they are served plain or sprinkled with cinnamon sugar. A party-size bucket of 36 mini donuts is also available.

For a unique and captivating experience, Nectar Bath Treats creates bakery-inspired products that look good enough to eat. TERA Windows PC Launch Date

May 31, 2018 – En Masse Entertainment, a player-driven publisher focused on delivering great games and great service, today revealed details about Hero’s Oath, the next content update coming to their flagship True Action Combat MMORPG on PC, TERA. Releasing on Thursday, June 7, Hero’s Oath will continue the story of intrigue and betrayal within the Valkyon Federation, culminating with players delving into the abyss to prove their true intentions.

Located in the Velika Outskirts surrounding the capitol city, Antaroth’s Abyss will challenge – and reward – players like never before with both normal and Hard difficulty modes available at launch. The dungeon will be the second location for players to earn in-game masks with beneficial stats, with a chance for bosses in the Hard difficulty to drop an Infinity Mask. Players will be able to upgrade their existing Stormcry gear to the next tier, named Heroic Oath, with future updates to add enchanting to and more to the set.

Hero’s Oath will also introduce PvE dungeon leaderboards, which will function similar to the PvP battleground leaderboards with monthly resets to give dedicated players a shot at the top slot. The dungeon leaderboards will feature Antaroth’s Abyss (Hard Mode) and Pit of Petrax at launch, with more dungeons planned for inclusion in later updates.

This Friday, June 1 marks the start of a monthly Level-Up event for TERA PC players, a monthly event that will reward players who level up a specific class during with a slew of fun cosmetics and items designed to help speed their way to level 65. Six Flags Great Adventure’s new, extreme, gyroscope-style thrill ride, CYBORG Cyber Spin,

The park will announce exclusive preview events and grand opening in the coming weeks. CYBORG Cyber Spin features a unique, futuristic, triple box design that allows the gondola to spin around three separate axes while rotating forward, backwards and sideways simultaneously at up to 70 feet in the air.

Paint the Park Pink – June 2

Join Six Flags and the Susan G. Komen foundation in Paint the Park Pink on June 2. Guests who wear pink and receive a surprise gift from the Komen table near the fountain. Wrestle & Ride – June 16

Six Flags will host Wrestle & Ride Saturday, June 16. The event will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Movietown Arena. Before the show, guests will have the opportunity for a photo/autograph with legendary wrestlers Rey Mysterio, Mick Foley, Jerry “The King” Lawler, and Billy Gunn for an additional fee from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Guests also have the opportunity for upgraded ringside seats on a first-come, first-serve basis. Thursday, May 31 2018 — Revival Productions’ Overload, the spiritual successor to the classic six-degree-of-freedom (6DOF) tunnel shooter Sci-Fi game Descent, is now available for PC (Windows, Mac, & Linux) for $29.99 on Steam and GoG. Overload’s Early Access version received a user rating of 96% on Steam. The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions will release in the third quarter of 2018.

Revival Productions was founded by Matt Toschlog and Mike Kulas, co-founders of legendary Parallax Software, creators of the Sci-Fi classic Descent. “If you loved Descent, then Overload is the true spiritual successor you have been waiting for. It plays like Descent, the mechanics and level design feel like Descent, and it looks and sounds amazing,” said Mike Kulas, co-creator, Revival Productions. Matt Toschlog added, “For someone who never played Descent, think of Overload as a hardcore, intense Sci-fi FPS in a world where the action takes place on all sides of the player. Descent features a deep single-player story campaign, a highly-replayable Challenge Mode with online leaderboards, and individual and team-based multiplayer modes.”

Descent, developed by Parallax Software and published by Interplay in 1995, received critical acclaim for its 3D six-degree-of-freedom gameplay that combined the best of space flight simulation with FPS experience. Offering both single player and multiplayer experiences, Descent gave players three axes of rotation and three axes of movement unlike other FPS games that have only 2 axes of rotation and 2.5 axes of movement. Six-degrees of freedom adds complexity and depth to control and movement and it takes the standard FPS experience to a whole new level.

Frostpunk Roadmap Unveiled

May 31, 2018 – Elite Dangerous: Beyond – Chapter Two is fast approaching on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One arriving on June 28.

Beyond, the third Elite Dangerous season will be free for all players, and will focus on community-requested enhancements to the overall player experience. Alongside those core foundational changes, new in-game content will progress the ever-expanding player-driven storyline and give pilots across the galaxy new tools to shape the ongoing narrative.

Frontier Developments is pleased to announce Chapter Two of the Beyond series of updates is right around the corner. In just under a month, you’ll be able to get your hands on the Alliance’s newest Chieftain variant: the Alliance Challenger. We’ve also got a selection of new wing missions, installation interactions, new settlements to explore and, to combat the ever-growing and ever-encroaching Thargoid threat, a cache of new Guardian weapons and technology from the Tech Brokers.

Elite Dangerous: Beyond – Chapter Two will be available for free to Elite Dangerous players on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One starting June 28.

This is the first of the two smaller installments coming as part of the Elite Dangerous Beyond series of updates, with a larger one coming in Q4 of this year, bringing Squadrons and improvements to Mining and Exploration, and much more!

Summary of Features:

New Ship: Challenger
The Alliance continue to refine their warships in the face of the looming Thargoid threat. The Alliance Challenger, envisaged as a frontline combat vessel, has stronger armour than its Chieftain counterpart and will be able to soak up a significant amount of punishment.

Wing Missions
First introduced in Chapter One of Beyond, we are introducing a range new Wing Mission types for you and your fellow Commanders to take on!

Installation Interactions
In a similar fashion to the Megaship interactions, which were introduced in Chapter One, Commanders will now be able to scan and interact with Space Installations.

Scan – Scanning the installation will allow Commanders to see what they can interact with: Turrets, Comms Arrays and Cargo Bays.
Turret hack – Disable turrets protecting other potential hackable points. This will deactivate security measures put in place to protect the Comms Arrays and Cargo Bays.
Comms array – Get tradable data from the Comms Array.
Cargo bay – Fire a limpet on the Cargo Bay to unlock and steal commodities and materials.

Tech Brokers
Tech Brokers will allow commanders to unlock large weapons versions of the existing guardian tech weapons. These Tech Brokers will issue missions to collect Guardian data as well as materials and then, once delivered, will unlock certain Guardian modules of weapons for purchase. Will you turn your weapons on Thargoid or use them to pirate rival Commanders?

Thargoids
Thargoids continue to be an intergalactic menace! With the Alliance introducing a new ship, the Thargoids intend to up their game too, introducing new Scouts that will buff other Scouts and increase their combat efficiency.

Horror FPS GTFO Releases New Screenshots

May 31, 2018 – 10 Chambers Collective, an independent Swedish development team led by the game designer behind the PAYDAY franchise, Ulf Andersson, announced today that GTFO (www.gtfothegame.com) will be playable for the first time, by appointment at E3 2018 (Concourse Booth #8804). GTFO is a 4-player co-op horror First Person Shooter made with Unity that will test the mettle of the most hardcore players.

Since its announcement trailer debuted at The Game Awards in December 2017, GTFO has been selected by several outlets as one of the most anticipated games of 2018. At E3 2018 10 Chambers Collective is offering the first hands-on for journalists and a small number of selected hardcore fans – who have been picked from their ‘Ambassador Programme’. The playtests will take place behind closed doors and will run on computers from Alienware, powered by NVIDIA GPUs.

“We were blown away when we saw the debut trailer for GTFO during The Game Awards and our excitement was validated after we had the chance to play the game earlier this month,” said Isabelle Riva, Head of Made with Unity, Unity Technologies. “We are so impressed at what the small team of nine people at 10 Chambers Collective has been able to accomplish; it’s a testament to how Unity has the power to unlock the world’s creative potential.”

Together with this announcement, 10 Chambers Collective reveals new in-game screenshots from GTFO. The screenshots reveal a new enemy that uses long, jellyfish-like feelers to detect the players, and can be downloaded here.

May 31, 2018 – With just one week to go until Flashing Lights’ 7 June Early Access release, a launch trailer for the police, fire and EMS game has arrived. The brand new trailer takes a deep dive into the exciting gameplay mechanics and features of Flashing Lights.

Take a look at the trailer here for a peak at the game’s open world, online multiplayer, and gameplay across all three playable departments. As a police officer, players will use a speed radar, pull over suspects and utilise a high-tech on-board computer. As a firefighter, players will be putting out raging fires with a fire extinguisher and a water hose, as well as using the heavy-duty jaws of life to rip apart car doors and rescue those trapped inside.
