The Aquabats Set to Play San Diego Comic-Con

July 14, 2018 – TV’s punk rock superheroes The Aquabats formed in 1994 in Orange County as a way to have some harmless fun in a music scene that took itself too seriously.Their Paul Frank designed “power belts,” trademark blue rash guards, black eye masks, “anti-negativity” helmets and onstage antics quickly caught on, earning the group a fiercely loyal following that spans generations. Their line-up and music is continuously evolving, including Blink 182’s Travis Barker as former drummer “Baron Von Tito.”

Current Aquabats are Christian Jacobs, “The MC Bat Commander” (lead singer), Chad Larson, “Crash McLarson” (bass, vocals), Ian Fowles, “EagleBones FalconHawk” (guitar), Richard Falomir, “Ricky Fitness” (drums), and James Briggs, “Jimmy the Robot” (keyboards, woodwinds, vocals).

WHAT: The Aquabats take over House Of Blues San Diego during Comic-Con. The Aquabats have called upon their Cadets far and wide to attend this special performance! If you are the proud owner of an Aquabats uniform, wear it. All those in uniform will be asked to participate in a secret mission and photo op after the show! Something new and exciting is coming and, as The Aquabats approach their 25th Anniversary, they’ll soon invite their fans to join them on their greatest adventure yet!

Bluefin Unveils Storm Collectibles SDCC Exclusives

Tickets are now on sale for Alt 98.7’s Big Adventure Fest! Big Adventure Fest is a two day event of comedy, music, dance, and a lot of other pop culture goodness! The Big Adventure Fest runs on November 3rd and 4th at the Orange County Fairgrounds in Southern California.

July 13, 2018 – Gear up for the must-see event of the year happening this fall, Alt 98.7 Presents Big Adventure — a brand-new music, comedy, cosplay, gaming, sci-fi, fantasy, and comic con festival, coming to the OC Fair & Event Center in Costa Mesa, CA on Saturday, November 3 and Sunday, November 4. Serving as a celebration of pop culture and fandom of all sorts, Alt 98.7 Presents Big Adventure is a one-of-a-kind entertainment experience, set to immerse attendees in a world where comics, sci-fi, fantasy, and gaming collide with music and comedy.

During the day, attendees will have the opportunity to see some of their favorite cast members and special guests during the TV, Film, Gaming, and Comic Book panels, participate in interactive fan experiences, VR, laser tag, table top and video gaming, and tech demos, and visit the artist alley where some of the comic book industry’s top artists and creators will be speaking about their craft, selling artwork, meeting fans and signing autographs. In the evening, the focus will shift to live performances, when fans will witness sets from acclaimed comedians including Patton Oswalt and Jim Jefferies, along with some of today’s top alternative and dance music artists including Empire Of The Sun, Modest Mouse, Phantogram, Cold War Kids, What So Not, Rusko, and many more, spread across three entertainment stages.

Produced by Synergy Global Entertainment (SGE), Alt 98.7 Presents Big Adventure will also boast a massive comic con exhibitor village, a marketplace with a variety of handmade and exclusive items, carnival rides and games, and wandering cosplay performers.

July 13, 2018 – The third episode of The Council, the narrative adventure game redefining the genre with RPG mechanics and consequences for every choice, releases July 24. Discover the first screenshots of this new episode!

Episode 3: Ripples continues the story of Louis de Richet as plots are laid bare, characters reach their breaking point, and an unexpected, terrifying truth is uncovered. It will take all of Louis’ influence to prevent the situation from growing out of hand.

The Council has already enthralled players and press alike with a deep and captivating story featuring intricate characters and smart writing. The innovative concept brings the genre beyond its boundaries and allows for meaningful choices with impactful consequences.

In the first screenshots for this latest episode, follow Louis as he wanders unexplored areas of the mansion, and ultimately comes face-to-face with his future. Who will you side with? Who can you trust? Your fate is still yours to make.

Owners of the Complete Season or the Season Pass can play Episode 3 on July 24. Episode 3 will be available as a single episode two days later, on July 26.

Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire “Beast of Winter” DLC Release Date

Irvine, California – July 12, 2018 – Independent developer Obsidian Entertainment, in partnership with indie powerhouse publisher Versus Evil today revealed the release date for the first major DLC expansion pack, titled “Beast of Winter”, for Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire. Players will be able to enjoy the expansion pack on August 2nd.

Upon receiving a missive from an isle of worshipers to the god of entropy and disaster, Beast of Winter takes the Watcher and his crew to the southernmost reaches of the Deadfire Archipelago. The Watcher is thought to be the harbinger of the end of all things and worshipers of the god of cold and decay, Rymrgand, have called upon the Watcher to fulfill their destiny. Alongside the Beast of Winter DLC, Obsidian is also releasing the next major update to Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire with their 2.0 patch that will be free to everyone alongside their next free DLC, the “Deck of Many Things” Pack.

Along with a host of bug fixes and balance improvements, update 2.0 brings new challenge modes to Deadfire. These challenges will test player’s mettle in unique and interesting ways to play through the game. The “Deck of Many Things” pack is the largest free DLC to be released yet and has the mysterious merchant ship, The Deck of Many Things, arriving in the Deadfire looking to sell magical items its crew found on its journeys to the East.

The Beast of Winter expansion, update 2.0, and the Deck of Many Things Pack will all be available on August 2nd.
