World of Tanks 9.10 Brings Rampage Mode and Japanese Tanks

wot_rampage_menu

September 02, 2015 —Wargaming today announced that update 9.10 for World of Tanks is now live globally, bringing nine new Japanese vehicles and the next exciting stage in Domination event: Rampage.

This new branch of Japanese tanks sees Tiers 2 through 10 get some serious backup in a series of heavy-hitting vehicles, featuring medium and heavy tanks. Notable vehicles include the Type 91, a Tier 3, which is the first Japanese heavy tank in the game, with a high damage-per-minute output. Tanks from Tiers 6–9, featuring the Tier 6 O-I, Tier 7 O-Ni, Tier 8 O-Ho, and Tier 9 Type 4 Heavy, boast tough armor and powerful weaponry. Finally, the Type 5 Heavy at Tier 10 has thick armor and a devastating 140 mm gun.

What makes this new tank line even more special is that Japanese company FineMolds provided World of Tanks with a 3D tank models based on the O-I. The blueprints were assumed destroyed, but by working together, FineMolds and World of Tanks were able to bring these vehicles to life in-game. The models helped designers construct the O-I-Experimental and continue Wargaming’s mission of historical accuracy in their titles. This collaboration continues with a series of World of Tanks plastic models for sale, starting with the Type 1 Chi-He, Type 4 Chi-To, and the Type 5 Chi-Ri medium tanks.

Update 9.10 also brings Rampage event, containing Steel Hunt and Domination. Players can rent one of the three tanks to engage in the event: the AMX 50 B (D), the Object 140 (D) and the ?110?5 (D), as well as use their vehicles that comply with the rules. In Steel Hunt, players can command Tier 10 vehicles exclusively, with the ability to respawn in their battle to capture flags, earning the most Victory Points. In Domination, players can use their Tier 8–10 vehicles in furious 10 minute battles to destroy enemy tanks and transport captured flags to select zones to score Victory Points.

Map availability has also been introduced. Now players will be able to battle across more maps as they work up the Tech Tree, unlocking more tiers. A new garage tutorial also makes it easier than ever for players, from veterans to new recruits, to familiarize themselves with game’s basics and discover useful tips. There is also the addition of a smaller game client, which lets players roll out in a more streamlined version of World of Tanks.

Deadpool Coming to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 in November

Deadpool Xbox One Box Art Image

Deadpool Xbox One Box Art Image

SANTA MONICA, Calif. – Sept. 1, 2015 – The Hanging Gardens of Babylon. The original draft of Hamlet. Third-wave ska. All treasures of human vision and artistry lost to the unfathomable reaches of time. But sometimes, life, uh, finds a way. Deadpool, THE third-person action-shooter made by ME, DEADPOOL, and NOBODY ELSE, especially not anyone at Activision Publishing, Inc. or Marvel Entertainment (hey, what about ME?!)  (oh, puhh-lezz!) is hitting the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system and Xbox One this fall.

Here’s your fact sheet: Deadpool is a deluxe combo platter drizzled with guns, katanas, guns and katanas, explosives, pancakes, sassy one-liners, mutant powers (like my turbo healing factor), babes and baddies. “Is there more, Deadpool?” YEA, PROBABLY.

Now because I’m an incredibly honest and forthright fellow, let me just tell you: these new versions of Deadpool are not 100% perfect (of course they’re perfect. It’s Deadpool, dummy!) (No thing or person is perfect!). You see, in full-disclosure, somehow Wolverine is still in my video game. (SeeI told you.) I just… ugh. But it does include all my original DLC, including two Challenge maps (“GRT Plaza” and “Inside the Tower”), as well as the form-fitting Uncanny X-Force and D-Pooly suits (I do loves me some form-fitting) for use in the never-ending thunderdome of carnage I call Infinite Mode.

I’m bringing it all to PlayStation®4 and Xbox One in North America on Nov. 17 for $49.99 as a digital and physical retail title – however you want me, baby!(Hee hee, you know you want me.)  You better believe it’s rated M (Mature) by the ESRB, too. (YES!) (You, sir, are so NOT mature.) “But Deadpool, how can we engage with your personal brand in the meantime?” Worry not, my beloveds! You may follow me on that Facebook thingy at ‘RealDeadpool’ for all the shameless self-promotion you could ever wallow in.

Now for all the mandatory mumbo-jumbo from the corporate suits.

MAD MAX Launch Trailer

MadMax_Max surveys the Great White landscape_screenshot

Burbank, Calif. – Sept. 1, 2015 – Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment today announced that Mad Max, the open world, third-person action game developed by Avalanche Studios and set in a post-apocalyptic setting, is now available for PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, Xbox One and Windows PC.

The Mad Max video game introduces an original story set within the universe of Mad Max and features deep car customization that impacts its handling, metal-grinding vehicular action and gives players a vast arsenal of mobile weaponry within The Wasteland. Players become Max, the lone warrior who must fight to stay alive by engaging in vicious on-ground fighting, as well as physics-based vehicular combat, against savage factions who are fighting for domination and survival in this gritty, dynamic open-world.

“Mad Max is an iconic character, recently re-introduced to the world by the latest film, and now we’re introducing a new way for fans and gamers to experience the adventure-filled Wasteland universe in which he lives,” said Peter Wyse, Vice President, Group General Manager, Production and Development, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. “Avalanche Studios has created an expansive, beautiful open world environment that comes to life with a brand new story for Mad Max.”

“Avalanche Studios are big fans of Mad Max and creating an open-world game in such a brutal setting was right up our alley,” said Christofer Sundberg, Avalanche Studios Co-founder and Chief Creative Officer. “We can’t wait to see how players customize their Max characters, as well as their cars.”

Following the theft of his iconic Interceptor, Max must align himself with a gifted, but peculiar, mechanic named Chumbucket to build the ultimate survival vehicle, something Chumbucket calls the “Magnum Opus.” Players design, customize and upgrade their essential vehicle by choosing from different car chassis and a myriad of upgrades including mounted weapons, armor and engines in the hopes of escaping to the Plains of Silence. Gamers must endure the open-world, post-apocalyptic environment that features a huge variety of encounters in a host of different locations throughout The Wasteland, many of them remnants of the world before the apocalypse. Players brave the treacherous landscapes, hostile weather patterns and deadly marauders, while accumulating Max’s equipment and weapons to survive by combining melee combat, gunplay and tactical techniques.

Mad Max is rated “M” for Mature by the ESRB. For more information, visit www.madmaxgame.com, Facebook.com/MadMaxGame and Twitter.com/MadMaxGame.

Blood Bowl 2 Dwarves vs Skaven Gameplay Trailer

Bloodbowl2-11

09/01/2015 – Two diametrically opposed teams face-off each other in the latest gameplay video of Blood Bowl 2, the sequel to the video game adaptation of Games Workshop’s famous board game that combines American football with the fantasy world of Warhammer. To sum up: the slow and tough Dwarfs, versus the fast and scrawny Skaven!

Albeit slow, Dwarfs make great Blood Bowl players. They’re compact, tough, well-armoured, and have a stubborn knack of refusing to die! Most successful Dwarf teams work to the principle that if they can massacre all the other team’s best players and wear down the rest, then there won’t be anybody left to stop them scoring touchdowns! Their Deathroller, a real mobile siege engine, helps greatly with this tactic, as it is able to crush any enemy regardless of its size. However, the use of such a machine is strictly forbidden, and the referee will always end up sending the player (and his ride) off.

Skaven, on the other hand, show just the opposite traits. Save for their Rat Ogre, they’re not so tough, frail, but rather agile and extremely fast. Many an opponent has been left in the starting blocks as fast-moving Skaven players scamper through a gap in the line and run in for a lightning fast touchdown. Make sure your Skaven players keep away from the opponent though – especially if they’re hard-hitting players such as the Dwarfs – or you’ll be likely to end up the match with much less players than you started it…

Blood Bowl 2 is currently available for pre-order, with, as a bonus, one of two additional races (the Wood Elves or the Lizardmen). Players who pre-order the game on Steam will also receive access to the Multiplayer Beta of the game, which will start next week! Click here for more info.

Blood Bowl 2 will release on PS4, Xbox One and PC on September 22
