High On Life 2 – 42 Minutes of Gameplay Trailer

Squanch Games made their presence known at gamescom 2025, showing off a metric ton of all-new High On Life 2 stuff. And no, it wasn’t just a bunch of boss fights, smarty pants. The team gave select attendees a chance to play the gameplay demo, learn about the new cast of talking guns, and discover what makes High On Life 2 a worthy successor to its best-selling predecessor. PLUS, they announced its release date! It’s February 13, 2026, baby!

February 13 is special for several reasons: First, it’s Friday the 13th, which is obviously cool. AND, it’s Valentine’s Day Eve. Kick off everyone’s favorite holiday in style by blasting alien creeps to rescue your sister. Romantic … ? Anyway, High On Life 2 has a little something for everyone! Snuggle up with your sweetie in your matching gaming chairs, smooching and killing aliens while laughing your asses off! Or maybe sitting on the floor in your completely empty apartment alternating between squeals of pure joy and sobs of utter loneliness is more your style. Sounds great!

And yes, that date is for all the platforms – we’re talking Xbox Series X|S and Xbox PC – day one on Game Pass! – PlayStation 5, Steam, and the Epic Games Store. Absolutely everyone will be happy! Oh, if you’d like to see it elsewhere, please send us a devkit! Thx

High On Life 2 is set five years after the first game, where you’re reaping the rewards of being the most well-known bounty hunter in the universe after successfully saving humanity from being harvested as a smokable drug by a nefarious intergalactic cartel. You’re on your way to a celebrity-endorsement event when a new bounty alert pops up on the network – for your sister, Lizzie. She’s been busy, too, building up her reputation as a freedom fighter/terrorist, depending on your perspective. After some secret things happen, you’re now the bad guy. Fortunately, you’re armed with an arsenal of talking weapons, which are a mix of new and returning favorites including Knifey (Michael Cusack), Sweezy (Betsy Sodaro), Gus (JB Smoove), and, making his debut at gamescom, Sheath (Ralph Ineson).

This will make way more sense in mid-February, trust me!

Cronos: The New Dawn Gamescom Trailer

At Gamescom’s Opening Night Live, Bloober Team unveiled a chilling new cinematic trailer for Cronos: The New Dawn, and it’s absolutely steeped in atmosphere. The trailer opens from a cat’s-eye view — an eerie, ground-level perspective that turns the familiar into something surreal. As if the trailer wasn’t enough, The Traveler made a dramatic appearance on stage in full cosplay — stepping out of the void and into the spotlight, blurring the line between the game and reality.

Cronos: The New Dawn is a third-person survival horror game developed by the renowned horror studio Bloober Team, best known for the critically acclaimed SILENT HILL 2 Remake.

The game is built around a powerful, original narrative that unfolds in New Dawn – an abstract reinterpretation of the real Nowa Huta district in Kraków, Poland. The story is told across two contrasting timelines: a post-apocalyptic future and the gritty industrial reality of the 1980s. This unique setting blends retro realism with dystopian sci-fi and a retro futuristic atmosphere, creating a deeply immersive world filled with tension, mystery, and psychological depth.

At this year’s Gamescom Opening Night Live, a stunning new cinematic trailer premiered on the main stage — featuring a surprise appearance by none other than The Traveler.

Watch The Cronos: The New Dawn – A New Breed Of Horror Trailer From Opening Night Live

The trailer immerses us in the haunting ruins of New Dawn, beginning with a mysterious sequence that follows the movements of a cat through the desolate landscape. From there, it transitions into cinematic shots of The Traveler – the game’s central figure – whose journey we’ll follow throughout the game. We’re shown gripping, high-stakes encounters as The Traveler faces off against The Orphans — terrifying creatures that haunt this broken world. All of this plays out against the haunting soundtrack of “Sixteen Days / Gathering Dust” by This Mortal Coil, heightening the sense of mystery and atmosphere.

Cronos: The New Dawn is scheduled for release on Sept. 5, 2025, for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation®5, PC (via Steam and Epic), and Switch 2.

Warhammer 40000: Dawn of War IV Announcement Trailer

In the grim darkness of the far future, war has returned to the ravaged world of Kronus. And the world watched as Deep Silver and KING Art Games officially unveiled Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV at Opening Night Live at Gamescom. The long-awaited new entry into the iconic real-time strategy series will be arriving on PC in 2026 (https://store.steampowered.com/app/2272360/Warhammer_40000_Dawn_of_War_IV/).

The global reveal included a brand-new trailer, offering fans their first glimpse of the brutal, large-scale conflicts the franchise is known for. Narratively, the trailer looks through Cyrus’ eyes, a captain in the Blood Ravens 10th Company:

Cyrus narrates his own life of duty, war, and sacrifice, revealing the four main playable factions: Space Marines (Blood Ravens), Orks, Adeptus Mechanicus, and the Necrons, and returning characters such as Jonah and Gorgutz. It shows the grim, dark, and brutal nature of war at an epic scale, both ranged and melee.

The RTS King is back…and is bigger than ever

Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV marks a triumphant return to the franchise’s roots, with classic base-building, large armies, and deep strategic gameplay all brought to life through modern innovations and a fresh narrative set on the iconic planet Kronus, approximately 200 years after the events of Dawn of War: Dark Crusade.

Key features include:

  • Four fully playable and distinct factions: Space Marines, Orks, Necrons, and the Adeptus Mechanicus. Each of the four factions in Dawn of War IV have a separate campaign which tells a different side of the overall story, featuring a total of 70+ missions.
  • Extensive solo campaigns and other game modes: Skirmish, co-op, and competitive multiplayer, along with the return of the fan-favorite Last Stand. In each of the game’s modes, players build bases, assume control of faction Commanders, gather resources, and command units to ultimately overwhelm the enemy’s forces.
  • Legendary Warhammer storytelling at its finest: Co-written by legendary Black Library author John French, each faction has its own cinematic CGI intro, which leads into a non-linear campaign, providing a wealth of replayability for players who want to explore every inch of this epic saga.
  • Biggest Dawn of War at launch: Four distinct factions, 10+ playable Commanders, 110+ units / buildings, many of which are customizable, an in-game editor for player-created content, and a Painter tool for unit customization.
  • Modern innovation mixed with classic RTS mechanics: With the revolutionary Combat Director, gameplay will have a next-level display of visceral melee combat.

Prepare to unleash hell in Dawn of War IV, the next chapter in the iconic Warhammer 40,000 RTS series. Experience the ultimate strategy power fantasy in an epic story. Stay tuned.

Firefighting Simulator: Ignite Mission Walkthrough Trailer

At this year’s gamescom, Firefighting Simulator: Ignite will be publicly playable for the first time, while publisher astragon Entertainment and developer studio weltenbauer. are releasing Mission Walkthrough video. Additionally, first details about the upcoming DLC have been revealed.

The mission “The Heart of the City” features a deployment in the Oakridge City shopping mall. It’s a demanding scenario for the player and the team. The fire breaks out in the middle of the day, while many people are still inside the building. Not everyone manages to escape in time, making rescue operations the top priority. Unconscious persons and people stranded on the roof must be brought to safety. The raging fire poses a major challenge as well: due to electrical and grease fires, different extinguishing methods must be used.

First Details on the “Summer Camp” DLC

The “Summer Camp” DLC unlocks an entirely new environment, along additional missions. The summer camp, with its large lake and wooden cabins, serves as a retreat for children and teenagers — but in case of emergency, quick action is required to contain the fires. The DLC is scheduled for release in Q4 2025 and marks the first of many planned content additions, all of which are included in the Season Pass. The Firefighting Simulator: Ignite – Year 1 Edition is already available for pre-order for PC, PlayStation®5 and Xbox Series X|S. The Edition includes the base game, Fire Station Companion Pack and the Year 1 Season Pass.

Firefighting Simulator: Ignite will be released on September 9, 2025, for PC, PlayStation®5 and Xbox Series X|S and is now available for pre-order across all platforms — complete with the Fire Station Companion Pack as a pre-order bonus.
