SCORN Releasing One Week Early

Developer Ebb Software and publisher Kepler Interactive are ready to welcome you to their upcoming horror adventure one week earlier than planned. Originally set for Oct. 21, players will now be invited to envelop themselves in its Scorn’s nightmarish hellscape from Oct. 14, 2022.

Scorn takes players into an isolated, strange, dream-like world. Left unguided to fend for themselves, players must explore Scorn’s interconnected bio-labyrinth, learning its rules and mastering grotesque puzzles along the way as they come to understand their own predicament

By uncovering secrets and gathering the strange bio-mechanical tools that seem to have been used by the civilization that previously called this world home, surviving might just be possible. Finding the truth, however, is an entirely different question.

Scorn will be available on Xbox Series X|S (day one with Xbox Game Pass) and PC (via Steam, Epic Games Store and GoG). To pre-order, visit: https://scorn-game.com/.

Destroyer: The U-Boat Hunter Gameplay Tutorial

Today, publisher Daedalic Entertainment and developer Iron Wolf Studio announced that Destroyer: The U-Boat Hunter is now available worldwide through Steam Early Access for PC. Whether you are a veteran sim expert or newcomer to the genre, the historically accurate WW2 simulation offers authentic and thrilling anti-submarine warfare during the infamous Battle of the Atlantic.

Check out the new gameplay tutorial video here:

Destroyer: The U-Boat Hunter is an innovative, cross-genre destroyer simulation which truthfully depicts the struggle of escort groups protecting allied convoys against German U-boats during the Battle of the Atlantic. Take full control of a Fletcher-class destroyer with all the crucial responsibilities of an anti-submarine destroyer attack team, using authentic instruments and attack procedures – or choose to automate certain tasks to focus more on the operational side of things. From identifying enemy vessels in the distance and plotting their projected inbound trajectories to positioning and commanding allied forces to intercept and attack enemy hostiles, players experience the full spectrum of anti-submarine warfare.

Destroyer combines the thrill of commanding an anti-submarine warship with the tactical challenge of managing a whole escort group protecting convoys against relentless wolfpacks. The game goes to great lengths to appeal to fans of realism and immersion, at the same time offering a great experience for beginners in the genre as well. Whether a military sim veteran or a fledgling captain, immerse yourself in a cinematic naval warfare experience and feel the thrill of the hunt!

Main features:

  • Procedural battle generation with randomized weather, time of day, and enemy attack patterns, allowing for a virtually infinite number of battle scenarios.
  • A detailed Fletcher-class destroyer model with 5 locations meticulously recreated in state-of-the art 3D: the bridge, the combat information center, the sonar room, the gun director, and the lookouts’ station.
  • Over 300 voice reports recorded by professional voice actors, navy school cadets and US Navy experts for unparalleled immersion and situational awareness.
  • A total of 10 different battle stations covering the most essential duties of the anti-submarine attack team, each complete with its key instruments and gear to give you the edge over the enemy.
  • 4 different convoy battle configurations (small, medium, large, and custom).
  • A dark, thematic soundtrack comprising 4 multi-layered pieces that dynamically adjust to the level of tension between you and the enemy.
  • Varied U-boat captain profiles: aggressive, sneaky, patient, or cold professional – each of them with an ace up their sleeve.

Vlad Circus: Descend into Madness Coming Soon Trailer

Vlad Circus: Descend into Madness, the 2D pixel-art horror adventure from developer Indiesruption and publisher Blowfish Studios, unleashes its troubled past and haunting mysteries on PlayStation 4|5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Windows PC via Steam, and GOG in Q1 2023.

In the year 1921, the famous Vlad Circus experienced an atrocious fire, causing hundreds of deaths and even more injuries when the owner’s brother intentionally started a fire in the middle of the show. Years of love, money, and hard work turned to ash in mere moments, forcing the circus troupe to disband. After eight long years, the original ringleader has invited the original cast of carnies to form the act once again. Nostalgia and dread loom as former colleagues and friends are finally reunited, unaware of the horrors lying ahead.

Explore Petrescu’s Victorian inspired manor as Oliver Mills, the circus performer who created the clown character “Lazy Ollie”. Time and trauma has stunted Oliver’s memory, but speaking with old friends will clear the fog. Wander the property and reconnect with all members in attendance, taking account of their lives since the…incident, their recounting of the past, and their aspirations for Vlad Circus’ revival – logging all of the information in his journal for future reference.

Deafening silence stalks the halls and hills ahead, but Ollie presses on unhindered by the eerie blanket of unease. Scour the shadow-eclipsed grounds, lantern in hand and senses on alert, in search of key items to access mysterious hidden areas. Keep a sound mind or risk encountering haunting figures lingering amongst the darkness. Act fast to escape or fight off the abominations, praying the Lord restores Oliver’s sanity in time.

“Vlad Circus: Descend into Madness melds a rich and captivating storyline with dynamic, fear-provoking gameplay that only adds to the experience,” said Diego Cánepa, lead designer, Indiesruption. “Players can immerse themselves with the spine-chilling story mode or grab a weapon and fend for their lives in challenge mode for those who want a more demanding combat experience.”

Vlad Circus: Descend into Madness will be available on all major platforms, with support for Windows, as well as language support for English, Spanish (Latin America), Spanish (Spain), French, German, and Russian.

Deathverse: Let it Die Official Season One Trailer

It’s showtime! GungHo Online Entertainment and SUPERTRICK GAMES today launched DEATHVERSE: LET IT DIE on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. This free-to-play, multiplayer action game is a spiritual spinoff to LET IT DIE and can be downloaded from the PlayStation Store. DEATHVERSE: LET IT DIE will launch on PC next Wednesday, October 5, and can be wishlisted on Steam here.

In DEATHVERSE: LET IT DIE, players compete in a 16-player survival battle arena as contestants of the world-renowned television program DEATH JAMBOREE. Flanked by your trusty robot companion, Wilson, you must fight off, defend against, and outsmart enemies in PvPvE mayhem to be the last contestant standing.

Welcome to the Jamboree
After the seismic calamity known as “Earth’s Rage,” humanity is brought to the brink of extinction. Scarred by the horrors they’ve faced, the survivors feed their bloodlust with the deadly and decadent DEATH JAMBOREE. Anyone can compete on the sinister television show to win fortune and favor, but once you’re in the arena, there’s only one way out: killing the competition.

DEATHVERSE: LET IT DIE is packed with action and tons of gameplay features, including:

  • Many Ways to Slay: To become a star, prove your strength against others in Ranked Matches online, or let loose to test your skills in Exhibition Mode. Players can also group up with friends in Room Matches.
  • A Weapon for Every Strategy: Players can choose between the MacheteHammerArmsBuzzsaw, and–Uncle Death’s favorite–the Katana. Compete in matches to increase your weapon’s level and stats, and collect materials to craft more powerful weapon variations. If you can’t wait to add to your weapon collection, look out for Twin Knives coming out in Season 1 later this year.
  • Breathtaking Scenery: Matches take place on a variety of stages, called Units, each with distinct zones. As the clock runs down, contamination increases, and the area you fight in grows smaller. Staying in a contaminated zone spells your doom. If you are crafty, you can catch a foe by surprise from the high ground, hide in tall bushes, or stalk your prey from the shadows. Those who take advantage of the terrain are more likely to survive.
  • Killer Cryptids and Hunters: Bloodcurdling Cryptids roam the battlefield, and when the cutthroat Hunters enter the area, there are only two options: run or die. During Season 1, players can look forward to three different Hunters who will join battles on rotation: Hunter Q, Hunter G, and Hunter M. Each has unique abilities, so learn them quickly to stay alive.
  • Build a Better Killer: Pick up items like Mushrooms and Sub-skills to modify your abilities and boost your chances for survival. You can also find Materials used for crafting and upgrading weapons and skins. Items are dropped when you kill enemies or break boxes scattered across the field.
  • Make It Look Good: Killing in a flashy way, especially using a Final Judgment, will earn Good Points (GP) from the DEATH JAMBOREE audience. GP increases your Voltage (comparable to health in other games) and attack power, so you’ll want to be a fan favorite if you plan on surviving.
  • Dress to Kill: There’s nothing more embarrassing than wearing the same outfit as another killer – avoid that with dozens of customization items! Mix and match outfits, Wilson skins, shield skins, and more to create a look to die for. You can also decorate your waiting room to prepare for the battle in style.

To Be Continued
If you can’t wait for more DEATHVERSE: LET IT DIE content, then you’re in luck. In November, the LET IT DIE Collection Vol. 1 will introduce a limited-time Metro Fighter skin and Uncle Death shield skin, which are based on the original LET IT DIE.

In Season 2, beginning Winter/Spring 2023, players can look forward to Cup Matches and a Masters tournament to decide the best killer contestant of the season, plus a new, unannounced weapon. Season 3 will be LET IT DIE themed and feature another weapon, a new Hunter, and the limited-time Duo Death Match event, letting players pair up against their foes. Both seasons will include new types of existing weapons.

In the future, DEATHVERSE: LET IT DIE will be updated with PlayStation/Steam crossplay, HDR support, accessibility features, recording/replay features, and the ability to change background music.

The Inquisitor Announcement Trailer

Publisher Kalypso Media is thrilled to announce the acquisition of the global publishing rights for the brand-new dark fantasy game, The Inquisitor, developed by Polish studio The Dust S.A. Previously announced by The Dust S.A. as ‘I, The Inquisitor,’ Kalypso Media will be publishing under the revised title ‘The Inquisitor.’ The story-driven title takes place in an alternate religious and historical timeline rife with grisly violence, cryptic mystery, and heinous sin. Cast your morality aside and put your judgment to the test in Q4 2023, when The Inquisitor will be available on Windows PC, Xbox Series X | S, and PlayStation 5.

In an alternate 1500 A.D., Jesus escaped his crucifixion and, instead of forgiveness, sought violent vengeance on all the non-believers. Centuries later, in a dark and blood-soaked world, an army of zealot Inquisitors continue to enforce their so-called Holy Law. In The Inquisitor, players will take on the role of Mordimer Madderdin, servant of God and an Inquisitor anointed by the High Bishops of Hez Hezron. You will commence your journey in Koenigstein, a city plagued with sin and religious transgression, where it is your duty to investigate its corruption and crimes. Use strategic sleuthing to track down and interrogate suspects, piece together the evidence or even resort to brute force. Your judgment awaits. Will you show mercy, or will you enforce retribution in the name of the Holy Law?

However, crime is not the only darkness that has seeped into the walls of the city, and unbeknownst to those around him, Mordimer can enter the mysterious Unworld in which he can uncover the secrets that lie deep within the souls of the depraved. And yet, deeper still, another form of evil resides here, and it is trying to enter the world of the living.

The Inquisitor will be released in Q4 2023 on Windows PC, Xbox Series X | S, and PlayStation 5. The apocalypse is coming, and with it, your judgment.

Features

  • Be the ultimate Holy Judge and Jury: Your role as an Inquisitor is to maintain order and enforce the faith in God. But the world is full of sinners who have lost their way. Decide the fates of those you judge in multiple story-driven cases and missions. This is a world where morality and what is right have long strayed from each other. So, will you show mercy or undying belief in The Holy Law?
  • A morally tainted, non-linear tale: This is a dark and gritty story centered around a religion preaching revenge and violence. Multiple branching story choices will test your morality. Choose your path and decide what kind of Inquisitor you will be – one of pity or one of retribution – and ultimately what mark you will leave on this world.
  • Enlightened sleuthing: Mordimer has unique skills and abilities that allow him to solve the various crimes and mysteries that have befallen Koenigstein. Track down and interrogate suspects. Discover the hidden truths of the city and its inhabitants. Piece together the evidence and make your final judgments.
  • Delve into the Unworld: Unbeknownst to those around him, Mordimer has the ability to enter the mysterious Unworld. There he can discover the deeper secrets that suspects have tried to hide in their souls. But there is a grave risk when venturing into this world and the dark force which reigns supreme here will do everything it can to destroy you for stepping foot into its realm.
  • Persuasive interrogations: The 1500’s remain a cruel era of justice. As an Inquisitor, you have free rein to use whatever methods and tools deemed necessary to persuade suspects to reveal ‘the truth’. These optional interrogations date back to the times of the real Inquisition and it’s up to you to decide if and how much force to apply to those under your investigation.
  • Let your sword do the talking: Sometimes a tongue just needs to be cut right out in order to loosen it. A full sword-based combat system means various cases will let or even require you to use brute force. Master your blade, find your openings, and use your enemy’s weak points against them.

The freshly published Steam page shares concrete details on the upgrades and features fans can expect to see in the sequel, including new story elements and a Sandbox Mode where players can build homes from scratch.

Lead Producer, Jakub Bujas says House Flipper 2 is much more than a simulation game:

SuperPower 3 Trailer Talks Demography

As the leader of a nation, you have to take many aspects into consideration. One of the most critical ones is the demography of your citizens. Any population consists of different cultures – in SuperPower 3, this is defined as a certain set of values. These values can align or clash with those of another group of people in your country, and you as a leader must find the best possible balance between each of these groups, respecting the will of the people if you are aiming for their support.

SuperPower 3 is in development for PC and will launch on October 7th, 2022 for an SRP of $ 29.99 / € 29.99 / £ 24.99. You can wishlist the game here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1563130/SuperPo…

Midnight Ghost Hunt Gets New Update

Vaulted Sky Games and Coffee Stain, publisher of Valheim, Deep Rock Galactic and Satisfactory, are pleased to announce a major new update for Midnight Ghost Hunt! Following its Steam Early Access Launch in March and Doll Factory update in May, players can now hunt and haunt the eerie Carnival map during the game’s first Free Weekend until September 26th. On top of these unsettling new surroundings, Midnight Ghost Hunt opens its merch store, and in the near future host migration and dedicated servers will also become available.

Littered with multiple Jack-in-a-Box Hero props – great for jumpscares – as well as clowns and unicycles, Carnival offers a range of different areas to explore within Mr Giggles’ Happyland. Cower in the foul monster mouth corridor of the Haunted House, snipe ghosts from the top of the merry-go-round, or zoom round the Wild West Saloon’s bumper car circuit, all backed by the unnerving musical atmosphere of off-key funfair jingles and even a self-playing piano.

Also coming with Update 2 are big changes that make matches far easier to manoeuvre. Much-requested by the community, dedicated servers are in the works, as is host migration so the lobby host can be transferred to another party member. These features will be coming very soon after Update 2 launches.

With a new update comes new Hunter cosmetics and a new Ghost ability! Players who tend to play the healer of the team can now make use of the Paramedic Hunter skin, while others who are a little too relaxed in their ghost-hunting efforts can become the Old Hippy – not to mention the dashing Pilot for the leaders of the group. But not to fear, Ghosts can get the edge too with a new ability, Deflector, which allows for a 5 second shield to defend from incoming projectiles. What’s more, by completing challenges, the titles Apprentice, Master, Grandmaster, and Legend can now be unlocked.

Fans who want to don a different kind of skin can now purchase a range of official items from Midnight Ghost Hunt’s official merchandise store! The new frighteningly fashionable collection of hoodies, T-shirts and mugs branded in ghoulish style is available to buy here.

Midnight Ghost Hunt launched into Steam Early Access in late March this year to universal acclaim, and Update 2 continues the games’ exciting progression as it prepares for full commercial launch.

Midnight Ghost Hunt is available on Steam Early Access for $19.99 at full price, but those interested in trying their mettle with the supernatural can join the hunt for free this weekend until September 26th, and also at 50% off for a limited time.
