In six hours, you will be dead. The Time I Have Left is a time-driven exploration game with RPG elements and a big focus on storytelling. • Knowledge is power: New abilities are unlocked as you uncover clues and complete the in-game database. Get the essential skills you need by following the main story or explore in-depth to unlock two additional skill trees.
  • Deep, dark secrets: Use the information you gather to unlock shortcuts, hidden stories, unique items, and secrets. You may not discover them all in a single playthrough.
  • Resist the visions of death: Aline faces grotesque creatures in her Near-Death Experiences. Hold your ground against them in a battle of willpower.
  • Reactive Turn-Based Mechanics: Time your movements well to evade directional attacks. Master your foes’ patterns to escape unharmed.
  • Customize your skillset: Unlock skills exploring the level and equip the ones that better suit your playstyle. The more you explore, the more tools you’ll have to face the creatures.

Still Wakes the Deep Introduction to World Building Trailer

Award-winning developer The Chinese Room is pulling back the curtain on its upcoming narrative horror game Still Wakes the Deep, published by Secret Mode.

In An Introduction to Worldbuilding, the developers at The Chinese Room explore the narrative behind Still Wakes the Deep and the research driving development. Lead Environment Artist Iain Gillespie, Associate Art Director Laura Dodds, and Lead Designer Rob McLachlan offer a behind the scenes look into this highly anticipated title.

In this worldbuilding documentary, The Chinese Room discusses how the environment will evolve over time as well as the key inspirations behind the game’s horror. The period, the geographical location of the rig – these all play a crucial role in this narrative-driven horror story. Fans will discover how the team developed a fascination for cranes and scoured British Petroleum’s documentary archives when striving for an authentic representation of a Scottish oil rig in the 1970s.

Still Wakes the Deep is due to release in 2024 on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5. It will also be available on Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass.

About Still Wakes the Deep

Still Wakes the Deep is a return to the first-person narrative horror genre from The Chinese Room, creator of critically acclaimed games such as Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs, Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture, and Dear Esther.

You are an off-shore oil rig worker, fighting for his life through a vicious storm, perilous surroundings, and the dark, freezing North Sea waters. All lines of communication have been severed. All exits are gone. All that remains is to face the unknowable horror that’s come aboard.

The Thaumaturge Dear Wiktor Story Trailer

In the upcoming RPG, The Thaumaturge, from developer Fool’s Theory and publisher 11 bit studios, a thaumaturge is a miracle worker who bears both a gift and a burden at the same time. This parallel holds true for Wiktor Szulski, the game’s titular protagonist, who is drawn back to the tumultuous streets of 20th-century Warsaw by family matters.

The gift of thaumaturgy is intertwined with family legacy, passed down through one’s ancestors. This mystical inheritance significantly shapes Wiktor’s life journey. In turn, his sister Ligia is deeply fearful of her brother endangering his life in pursuit of unearthly entities and their hosts.

As only a thaumaturge can tame these ethereal entities—known to a select few as Salutors—utilizing their mystical abilities to discover secrets hidden within the human soul and speak to the Darkness, no one understands quite like Wiktor how everyone suffers their own demons.

Discover Wiktor’s fate and take a walk in 1905 Warsaw, as The Thaumaturge releases on PC later this year. From August 23rd thru 27th at gamescom in Cologne, Germany, players will be able to try the first-ever public demo of the game at the 11 studios booth B028 in hall 10.1.

Homeworld 3 Story Trailer

Homeworld 3, the upcoming installment of the legendary award-winning sci-fi strategy series launching in February 2024, showcased the next chapter in its iconic story during the global unveiling of the new story reveal trailer at gamescom 2023. Premiered during the Opening Night Live 2023 pre-show, Blackbird Interactive (BBI) and Gearbox Publishing shared a first look at Homeworld 3’s universe-expanding saga that takes place decades after the events of Homeworld 2 and the golden age of galactic prosperity. The cinematic trailer also provides a first look at the looming threat to the Hiigaran fleet – the Incarnate faction. In addition, the newly revealed Homeworld 3 character concept art sheds new light on two key characters, Imogen S’jet and Isaac Paktu.

“When we first created the original Homeworld, I never imagined that it would resonate so deeply with so many people,” said Rob Cunningham, CEO and Founder of Blackbird Interactive. “But that connection has become our North Star. To give players those same chills as they left Kharak behind so many years ago — but to also expand this universe and take players even closer to its beating heart. It’s exhilarating to be in the homestretch of this next chapter alongside our friends at Gearbox. We’re looking forward to sharing even more of Homeworld 3 soon.”

“Not so long ago founding members of BBI set the bar with Homeworld for how stories should be told and the majesty of space can be portrayed in a strategy game,” said Steve Gibson, President of Gearbox Publishing. “BBI and many new team members have joined together to again, years later, raise that bar and take players further into the breathtaking Homeworld universe. Sharing this glimpse of what is to come is incredibly exciting as we head towards that launch in February of 2024, and we are eager to share even more in these last few months before the long awaited Homeworld 3.”

Developer Blackbird Interactive is raising the stakes of Homeworld’s iconic scale and artistry by fully realizing their original vision, 20 years in the making, of elegant and cinematic space combat. The epic scale and grandeur of Homeworld has returned with even bigger environments for players to explore, new mechanics to master that expand the gameplay experience, and a dramatic story full of the compelling emotional resonance the series is known for.
