SnowRunner’s First Major DLC Coming July 15

SnowRunner creators Saber Interactive and Focus Home Interactive have released stunning new screens from the upcoming “Search & Recover” DLC, available July 15 for Season Pass and Premium Edition owners on PlayStation®4, Xbox One, and PC via the Epic Games Store. This first major update for the hit off-road truck driving game delivers new adventures and features for the more than one million players who have already gotten behind the wheel to tame the wild.

“Search & Recover” takes players to a new Russian winter region full of new missions. Under the breathtaking aurora borealis (at this time of year?), you’ll explore two vast new maps on the hunt for hidden finds like a lost World War II bomber. You’ll also get two new vehicles — the TUZ 16 “Actaeon” and the Ford 750 4×4 Crewcab — as well as bonus skins, interior customizations and more.

And this is just the beginning of new free and premium content on its way. Those without the Season Pass will be able to experience new missions on existing maps, as well as the introduction of additional modding tools on PC for creating maps and interior customization items. Season Pass owners can even share these new adventures with friends by joining up in co-op for up to four players.

SnowRunner is available now on PlayStation®4, Xbox One, and PC through the Epic Games Store. “Search & Recover” will also be available to purchase standalone.

Historical RTS Ancestors Legacy Coming to Nintendo Switch

12 May 2020 – Developer Destructive Creations is delighted to announce that their squad-based RTS Ancestors Legacy, one of the best PC strategy games of 2018, will release on Nintendo Switch on 11 June this year, packing its main features: an enticing history-inspired storyline, tactical squad-based battles, day-night cycle, action camera, and the extra hours of gameplay in skirmish mode. Later this year, a physical version of the game will be made available in selected retail stores across Europe, the Americas and Asia.

Warriors must be strong and smart, skilled in analyzing the situation and predicting the enemy’s moves. They also must be able to move fast, not be bound to one spot. And that is what Ancestors Legacy will now offer, thanks to its release on Nintendo Switch – the ability to engage the enemy virtually anywhere and enjoy those 40 story missions and skirmish battles on the go.

Destructive Creations is looking forward to seeing gamers enjoy the medieval harsh battles of Ancestors Legacy also away from home. Ancestors Legacy will not let strategy fans down in terms of content, quality and accessibility via the controller, the use of which has been prepared and tested for right from the very beginning. Streamlined gameplay mechanics, on par with its original PC counterpart, user interface and control mappings are well optimized to bring a great gaming experience to console platforms, on top of which touch screen support has been added for Switch users.

Despite some hardware limitations, Ancestors Legacy still features the same refined gameplay experience, boosted by cinematic action-camera and over 600 single combat animations, all motion captured and each with a unique, precise usage in the game. The animations correctly correspond not only to the unit type and weapon it is carrying, but also to the opponent the unit is fighting, his own weapon, and the state of both units.

Fleet Carriers Coming to Elite Dangerous

Cambridge, UK – 26 March 2020. Frontier Developments plc (AIM: FDEV) today revealed the first details on Fleet Carriers, an eagerly awaited update to the long running space simulator, Elite Dangerous. As mobile starships and trading hubs capable of transporting multiple allies, Fleet Carriers will be available to players in two betas ahead of full launch in June. A Frontier stream on April 2 at 18:00 GMT/ 11:00 PST / 14:00 EST will reveal further details. Tune in to watch here.

Experienced Commanders rejoice, as the long awaited Fleet Carriers venture forth into the galaxy, offering a range of new ways to experience Elite Dangerous with expanded emergent gameplay possibilities. Will you be a friend to the galaxy and support wayward travelers, or a tyrant who taxes those in need?

The most expensive investment to date and costing 5,000,000,000 credits, Fleet Carriers are individually owned and contain 16 landing pads of varying sizes for other players to dock their starships in, with a galaxy-spanning jump range of 500 light years.

Once purchased, Commanders can choose whether to invest and open up new services on their mobile hubs, including repair docks, refueling stations, shipyards and more. Incorporating player-to-player commerce for the first time in Elite Dangerous, Fleet Carrier owners can also set tariffs on all goods traded on their Carrier’s services to support the weekly upkeep costs, from wear and tear maintenance to crew wages and Tritium, a new fuel commodity needed to power the megaships.

Aspiring Commanders will be able to customize their Fleet Carriers to their hearts’ content, adapting these majestic spaceships to their preferred playstyle, but they will also need to plan and balance their finances to cover running costs, as persistent debt that eventually exceeds the debt threshold could see carriers decommissioned and sold for parts.

Two open betas will allow all players to experience Fleet Carriers ahead of their launch into the live game. Beta 1 is open to PC players and will commence in April 7. Beta 2 will include PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 players and will take place in May. Fleet Carriers officially launch into the live game on June 2020.

A Frontier livestream on April 2 at 18:00 GMT/ 10:00 PST / 13:00 EST will premiere gameplay, reveal further details including customisation options and additional features, and take questions from the community. Join in to hear more here.

Monster Hunter World: Iceborne Third Expansion Released

March 23, 2020 – The third free title update for the acclaimed Monster Hunter World: Iceborne expansion is now available for the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, and the Xbox One family of devices, including Xbox One X. It offers two powerful monster variants, a number of system updates, and a new seasonal in-game event. In an accompanying developer update video, the Monster Hunter team also teased future updates coming to Iceborne; hunters can look forward to a Master Rank hunt for the gilded Kulve Taroth, the emergence of Arch-Tempered Namielle, and the calamitous appearance of Alatreon in the New World.

New Challengers Enter the Ring
Only the boldest hunters can successfully counterattack Rajang when in its enraged golden state. Its variant, Furious Rajang, embraces this seething anger to amp up its attacks even further. With its golden coat crackling with energy, every clash with this predator is an all-out assault. From a devastating pin attack to a number of new medium and long range attacks, Furious Rajang ensures no distance is safe. Since Furious Rajang also has fewer weak points to exploit, hunters will have no choice but to tackle this agile threat head-on.

Variant Raging Brachydios brings some explosive changes with an even more volatile coating of slime seeping from multiple areas on its body. Hunters can force the slime to drop off by attacking specific body parts, but must be prepared to avoid an even wider explosive zone once the slime reaches the ground. This hulked up version of the fan-favorite blast from the past can also trap hunters in a no-holds-barred cage match where retreat is not an option.

Hunters brave enough to attempt these encounters will be rewarded with materials to forge brand new top-tier Palico gear, weapons, armors featuring new set bonus skills, and decorative pendants.

Layered Weapons, Hunter Helper Updates, and More
Title Update 3 also introduces layered weapons, which alter the appearance of weapons without impacting their stats. The first round of layered weapons is available now, and allows players to customize fully upgraded weapons with a distinct base frame and monster part attachments. Later in April, weapons with unique designs will join the layered weapon pool. Hunter Helper is also overhauled, with increased monetary rewards when assisting hunters with a lower Master Rank, and enhanced drop rates for various quest types. Assisting hunters with Assignments now offers a chance of receiving rare decorations through Carved Feystones, while other regular quests award armor-enhancing King Armor Spheres. Those spheres will come in handy now that rarity 12 armors can be enhanced to level 20.

Guiding Lands aficionados will now have access to a new tool: the Banishing Ball. Now quest leaders can force unwanted monsters out of a region immediately while on a hunt. Hunters relaxing after a quest have a new swath of Paid DLC options for Your Room, including new monster figures, music options, and décor. Fashion hunters also have reason to celebrate, as all NPC hairstyles from World are now available as part of a free character customization update. When paired with new paid DLC pendants and sticker sets, hunters can flex their style even more.

New Seasonal Event
A day after Title Update 3 arrives for PC players on April 8th, both the PC and consoles communities will celebrate the new Seliana seasonal event, Full Bloom Fest, and simultaneous content updates for all platforms going forward! The whole base is getting into the rosy spirit, with new gathering hub decorations, new canteen meals, a new Poogie costume, seasonal Palico gear, pendants, paid seasonal Handler costume, and new guild card options. During Full Bloom Fest, log-in bonuses and bounties will offer tickets for crafting the elegant event armor, in addition to brand new event quests that provide materials for layered headgear based on the rare endemic creature Downy Crakes, and a pair of Whetfish Dual Blades.

Future Updates
In April, hunters will have even more challenges to overcome, with the Master Rank arrival of the glimmering Kulve Taroth, and the emergence of Arch-Tempered Namielle. The new Kulve Taroth Event Quest provides groups of four hunters the chance to gather upgrade materials that can bring the High Rank siege’s gear up to Master Rank muster. Hunters will also need their sharpest wits, weapons, and strategies for the approaching arrival of the fearsome walking natural disaster Alatreon. Resident Evil 3 Demo Release Information

March 16, 2020 – Resident Evil fans can get an early taste of the upcoming survival horror game, Resident Evil 3, with an action-packed playable demo that will be available starting this Thursday, March 19 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC players via Steam. The Resident Evil 3: Raccoon City Demo lets players step into the boots of the legendary heroine Jill Valentine, as she teams up with Carlos Oliveira and the Umbrella Biohazard Countermeasure Service (U.B.C.S.) to evacuate civilians from a crumbling Raccoon City. While Jill is fighting to save innocent civilians, she must also save herself from the relentless bioweapon Nemesis, whose sole objective is her demise. The Raccoon City Demo will reveal a brand new cinematic trailer exclusive to demo participants upon completion, and will be available starting March 19 at 12am ET on Xbox One and 1pm ET on PlayStation 4 and Steam.

As if Jill’s battle was not daunting enough, Capcom also invites players to test their limits with a challenging Mr. Charlie scavenger hunt within the Raccoon City Demo. Twenty Mr. Charlie statues are strewn across Raccoon City; can you seek and destroy all of them with Nemesis hot on your heels? An on-screen counter will help players keep track of their acquired statues and a final count will be displayed upon the demo’s completion.

Later this month, fans can also get a sneak peek at Resident Evil Resistance, the asymmetrical 4 vs 1 multiplayer experience that is included with Resident Evil 3. In the open beta starting March 27, players have the option to take on the role of Daniel Fabron, one of the game’s four Masterminds, to run twisted experiments using various bioweapons and traps on a group of everyday civilians. In turn, players can band together as one of four of the six Survivors, each possessing a unique ability to help their team escape the experiment before time runs out. The Resident Evil Resistance open beta starts March 27 at 3am ET for Xbox One and PlayStation 4, and 1pm ET for Steam. The open beta will end when the game launches on April 3.

Knott’s Boysenberry Festival 2020 Tasting Event

Knott’s Berry Farm’s Boyseberry Festival is back for 2020 and starts on March 20th, a short week and change away. Last week, we got the chance to checkout some of the park’s new boysenberry-infused food items that you can expect to find when you visit. Walking into the park’s Wilderness Dance Hall, we found a multitude of food stations setup with various items. In the center of the hall stood a table containing a huge array of items for photo-taking. Unfortunately, most of those were not available for tasting (which is a shame as they all looked incredible).

Food Table Photos

As you can see, the two foot long hot dog with boysenberry bun is back as well as boysenberry elote. Personally, I can’t wait to try the boysenberry churro and crepe. But, I digress…

We did get to sample some of the items, including beef tips with boysenberry mashed potatoes (my favorite of the evening) as well as brussel sprouts topped with a boysenberry glaze. The beef tips were incredible, the BBQ sauce used on them was sweet yet savory. However, the mashed potatoes were an “interesting” culinary experience. The sweetness of the boysenberry was undercut by whole seeds which, in mashed potatoes, is not my favorite texture. Out behind the hall was a beer garden which served boysenberry beer and cider – both were outstanding and, as I learned at the event, the beer is served year-round at the park. Its notes of boysenberry are more pronounced than I expected and I can’t wait to sample some more on my next visit.

Over at the merchandise table, Knott’s Berry Farm has set up a variety of items that will be on sale during the Boysenberry Festival, including boysenberry sarsaparilla, a special event pin, boysenberry toffee, and a whole lot more. They are even rolling out some boysenberry lavender body lotion for the event.

Merchandise Table Photos

In short, there is truly something for everyone no matter what table you’re looking at. Of course, during the actual Boysenberry Festival, you’ll find these food and merchandise items scattered throughout the entire park, so consult your map when you arrive as you’ll want to plan your route accordingly. Some of the food kiosk lines can get rather long on busy days, so hit the ones you really want to try first.

The upcoming Boysenberry Festival at Knott’s Berry Farm runs from March 20th through April 19th. You can find out event hours, ticket information, and more over at the park’s official website.

Sam’s Story Comes to Metro Exodus on February 11

Larkspur, Calif. | Jan. 27, 2020 | Deep Silver and 4A Games today revealed more details for Sam’s Story, the second major story DLC for Metro Exodus, and confirmed that it will release on Feb. 11, 2020.

Sam’s Story follows former U.S. Marine Sam, a Spartan Ranger who has worked under Colonel Miller since the nuclear war devastated Moscow, and followed Artyom in search of a world outside of the Metro. Sam had long dreamed of returning to his homeland, and perhaps even finding his father alive. The prospect seemed impossible in the darkened tunnels of the Metro, but when the Spartans discovered that Moscow was not the only city left alive after the war, holding out hope didn’t feel so foolish anymore.

Sam, determined to find a way back to the U.S., departed from the Aurora to make his way through Vladivostok’s tsunami-ravaged harbours, ruined industrial buildings, and crumbling residential districts. However, to complete his journey, Sam will discover that he needs every tactic he has learned so far to survive, as his surroundings prove to be far trickier than expected.

In this expansive ‘sandbox survival’ level, players will experience another gripping storyline featuring new characters, weapons, and mutant variants in a huge, non-linear environment that offers hours of gameplay.

Sam’s Story will be available to purchase on Feb 11, 2020 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC and Stadia – links will be available from launch at https://www.metrothegame.com/buynow. It is included in the Metro Exodus Expansion Pass, which also entitles holders to the acclaimed DLC, The Two Colonels, which was released in August 2019.

Pathfinder: Wrath of Righteous Gets New Screenshots

January 14, 2020 – It feels like only yesterday we have released Pathfinder: Kingmaker. The game we put our souls into, the game of our dreams. And it is you, our community, who made it possible in the first place. We want to say thank you to all backers and supporters, for your passion, feedback, and patience.

With our next project — Pathfinder: Wrath of Righteous — we want to bring work with community to the next level. We will engage content creators, build a new forum for players’ discussions, held detailed surveys during alpha and beta tests, and put emphasis on feedback from our community. You will help us to shape the game, drive our vision and achieve the most daring ideas. And to accomplish this we will launch a new Kickstarter campaign.

We want to make this adventure as epic as we imagined it when playing Wrath of the Righteous at the table. And, of course, we want our next game to become better than the previous one in every aspect. While we already have essential investments, there are a lot of things to add and improve.

On February 4th, we will lift the shroud of mystery and share our creative vision, revealing all the main features we aim to deliver, along with the first gameplay video of Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous. And even more details are coming in the kickstarter updates!

For now, you can find more screenshots on our site!
