DiRT Rally 2.0 Season One Content Trailer

Larkspur, Calif. – March 7, 2019 – Codemasters will release the first of its post launch content as part of DiRT Rally 2.0™ Season One from March 12. The ŠKODA Fabia Rally and Citroën C4 Rally will be available for all players who own the Deluxe Edition, with the iconic and enhanced Monte Carlo following on March 26. Day One and Standard Edition owners have the opportunity to purchase the Deluxe Content Pack or individual pieces of content separately via their digital store of choice.

“We are delighted to bring back two iconic rally cars which will excite our core community and give new fans a taste of rally history,” commented Ross Gowing, Chief Games Designer. “The Citroën C4 Rally was extremely dominant in the late 2000s and features Petter Solberg’s livery, who enjoys a great working relationship with the studio. The ŠKODA Fabia Rally was driven by the great Colin McRae, and we are very proud that players will be able to experience another of his iconic vehicles. Players can expect incredible traction and stability from the both these vehicles, and they make a fantastic addition to the legendary car roster in DiRT Rally 2.0.”

The Season One content focuses purely on rally and over the coming weeks will introduce cars, liveries and environments to DiRT Rally 2.0 as per the following schedule:

  • Week 3: Monte Carlo Rally, Special Livery
  • Week 5: BMW M1 Procar Rally, Open Manta 400, Special Livery
  • Week 7: Sweden Rally
  • Week 9: Ford Focus RS Rally 2007, Subaru Impreza, Special Livery
  • Week 11: Germany Rally

Players who bought the Deluxe Edition will receive all Season One content, release dates above, plus Season Two which features a similar level of content as part of their Season Pass. All other players can purchase the Deluxe Content Pack or individual piece of content separately via their digital store of choice.

DiRT Rally 2.0, including official licensed content of the FIA World Rallycross Championship presented by Monster Energy, launched on the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, the Xbox One family of devices including Xbox One X and Windows PC on Feb. 26, 2019.

Dark Arts at Hogwarts Fan Preview Nights Announced

Universal City, CA, March 8, 2019 – Universal Studios Hollywood rolls out the red carpet for the “Dark Arts at Hogwarts™ Castle Premiere Event,” a special experience that offers fans a  first look at the new light projection show at “The Wizarding World of Harry PotterTM” on Thursday, April 11 and Friday, April 12, 2019.

This premium evening event invites guests to be among the very first to experience “Dark Arts at Hogwarts Castle” with exclusive, coveted after-hours access to Hogsmeade™ village, where fans can also explore the shops and experience the land’s signature rides, “Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey™” and “Flight of the Hippogriff™.”

AMC Announces WonderCon 2019 Lineup

March 8, 2019 – The cast and producers of AMC’s original series hit series Fear the Walking Dead, new supernatural horror series NOS4A2, martial arts drama Into the Badlands and spell-casting thriller A Discovery of Witches will present several screenings and panels at this year’s WonderCon in Anaheim, CA.

Fear the Walking Dead panelists include cast members Lennie James, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Colman Domingo, Danay Garcia, Garret Dillahunt, Maggie Grace, Jenna Elfman, Alexa Nisenson and new cast member Austin Amelio along with Executive Producers and Showrunners Andrew Chambliss and Ian Goldberg, Executive Producer Scott M. Gimple and Director Michael Satrazemis. The panel will be moderated by Yvette Nicole Brown.

NOS4A2 panelists include cast members Ashleigh Cummings, Zachary Quinto, Ólafur Darri Ólafsson, Ebon Moss-Bachrach and Jahkara Smith along with Executive Producer, Showrunner and Writer Jami O’Brien and Executive Producer and author Joe Hill. The panel will be moderated by Entertainment Weekly’s senior writer Clark Collis.

Into the Badlands panelists include cast members Daniel Wu, Ally Ioannides, Lewis Tan, Sherman Augustus, Aramis Knight and Orla Brady along with Executive Producers and Showrunners Al Gough and Miles Millar. The panel will be moderated by CNN contributor and cohost of the They Call Us Bruce podcast, Jeff Yang.

A Discovery of Witches will be a screening of the first episode of the brand-new series that first debuted on Sundance Now and Shudder, breaking viewership records on both platforms.

Nearly a dozen titles from new and returning fan-favorite franchises will be playable to the public at Booth 19085 of the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center from March 28-31.

  • Deponia (Switch Edition) – The original award-winning point-and-click comedic adventure game comes to Switch with hand-drawn HD graphics and hours of hilarious storytelling.
  • The Long Journey Home (Switch Edition) – Travel across an open-world universe to find your way home in this sci-fi roguelike RPG.

Path of Exile: Synthesis Expansion Launches Today

Auckland, New Zealand – March 8, 2019 – Grinding Gear Games announced that the first expansion of 2019 for their award-winning RPG, Path of Exile: Synthesis, will launch today at 12:00 PM PST for PC and Xbox One. Path of Exile’s long-awaited debut for the PlayStation 4 will happen later in March 2019.

“We expect that 2019 will be the biggest year in Path of Exile history, starting with the launch of Synthesis in March,” commented Chris Wilson, managing director of Grinding Gear Games. “More exciting news is coming soon including details about the inaugural ExileCon convention this November!”

In Path of Exile: Synthesis, players will meet Cavas and help him recover his lost memories by fighting their way through them. Chaining these memories together will provide valuable rewards, new crafting opportunities, and deadly boss fights.

Path of Exile: Synthesis also introduces two new spellcasting archetypes to the game, the Holy and Chaos casters, along with a host of new spells such as Divine Ire, Purifying Flame, Wave of Conviction and Soulrend.

Path of Exile: Synthesis New Features Include:

  • The Synthesis Challenge League: With a fresh economy and new mechanics, the Synthesis Challenge League is ideal for existing, returning, and brand-new players to experience the award-winning gameplay Path of Exile has to offer.
  • A Mysterious New NPC: In Path of Exile: Synthesis, players will meet a new NPC called Cavas and help him recover his lost memories by fighting their way through them and then stabilising them to collect a fragment of that memory.
  • Synthesize New Areas: Cavas’ memories can be combined to synthesize dangerous and unstable new areas that players can run for valuable rewards. Players will discover many strategies for combining memories for maximum rewards, including challenging boss encounters and their valuable treasures.
  • Fractured Items: While exploring Cavas’ memories and areas synthesized from them, players can find Fractured Items, a new type of rare item that has some of its properties locked in place.
  • These properties can’t be modified by random crafting actions performed on the item, which makes them a powerful way to craft efficiently.
  • Synthesized Items: Players can combine Fractured Items in a device to create a Synthesized Item – a special base type where the implicit properties are influenced by the properties on the Fractured Items consumed. These Synthesized Items offer very powerful crafting opportunities.
  • Betrayal goes Core: Due to popular demand, December’s Betrayal League is being integrated into the core game as evergreen content.
  • Balance: Path of Exile: Synthesis includes a balance focus on spellcasting, especially around improving hand-casting (casting a spell naturally without using a totem/trap/mine to do it for you). This process includes a numerical balance pass over all offensive spells in the game.
  • New Archetypes: With its emphasis on spellcasters, this expansion also introduces two new character archetypes – the Chaos and Holy casters. The new skill and support gems added for these archetypes also affect dozens of other Path of Exile builds that might find them useful.
  • New Gems: Path of Exile: Synthesis contains 14 new Gems, including seven new Skill Gems, four new Support Gems and three complete revamps to existing Gems.
  • New Items: Like any Path of Exile expansion, Synthesis contains masses of valuable new items to find and hoard. Alongside the new Fractured and Synthesized Items, players can discover 16 new Unique Items and 16 Divination Cards designed by Path of Exile’s supporters.
  • The Atlas has Shifted: The Atlas of Worlds (a chart of Path of Exile’s end-game maps) has been updated, with new positions for existing maps, and many more secret player hideouts to discover attached to these maps.
  • Available on PC, Xbox One and soon, PlayStation 4: Path of Exile: Synthesis is not just coming to its existing platforms of PC and Xbox One, but will also be available soon on PlayStation 4.
  • All versions are, of course, 100% free to play.

Path of Exile continues to be one of the largest online Action RPGs with continual, massive audience growth. Successful launches on the Xbox One and in China have more than doubled the Path of Exile player community since August 2017, with over 3.5 million players having played the game’s 2017 expansion, Path of Exile: The Fall of Oriath. In 2018, Path of Exile saw an increase in total play-hours of over 26% and the PoE: Betrayal expansion set a new record of 188,970 players online simultaneously.

World of Warships: Legends Early Access Console Date

NICOSIA, CYPRUS (MARCH 7, 2019) — World of Warships: Legends is gearing up to release on PlayStation®4 and Xbox One with the announcement of some key upcoming dates for sailors looking to embark on an exciting new voyage. Starting from March 22-24, Wargaming will offer players the chance to hit the waves and take part in the final round of Closed Beta testing, and will later release a selection of Founder’s Packs that offer exclusive in-game rewards!

Over 200,000 battles were fought during the first Closed Beta weekend, and Wargaming and its players are looking to smash that record again! Players who register at wowslegends.com will have the chance to participate in the final round of Closed Beta testing from March 22-24. The latest version of the game boasts new content and features like the British nation, 14 more ships, revamped lighting effects, plus Russian and French language support.

Warner Bros. Television Unveils WonderCon 2019 Lineup

Television (WBTV) will test the physics of funny one last time at WonderCon 2019 with The Big Bang Theory’s final appearance, unveilThe 100’s sixth season premiere (on a brand-new planet) and deliver Warner Bros. Animation’s (WBA) newest superhero fix — DC Super Hero Girls. All three series will be out in force during the fan fest in Anaheim, including special video presentations and Q&A sessions on Saturday, March 30, celebrating The Big Bang Theory (Thursdays at 8/7c on CBS) with the hit comedy’s writers, as well as the new animated series DC Super Hero Girls (premiering Friday, March 8, at 6/5c on Cartoon Network, before moving to regular time period of Sundays at 4:00 p.m. ET/PT). Sunday, March 31, brings the exclusive season six world premiere screening of The 100 (premiering Tuesday, April 30, at 9/8c on The CW).

March 7, 2019 – 2019 will mark our fourth year of EA PLAY. What we envisioned as a celebration of play has become an incredible moment that we love to share with the community each year. We are so grateful for all our fans who have joined us, and we look forward to making this year an even better experience.

This year you’ll see less talk and more play, with an event entirely focused on the heartbeat of EA PLAY: our player communities and the games they love.

  • First hands-on with some of our biggest games.
  • Exclusive content from some of the most popular creators in the world.
  • Free for all to attend.
  • It all starts this year on Friday night, June 7, 2019, with an all-new EA PLAY kickoff event. We’re skipping the press conference this year and are replacing it with multiple live streams that will air during the first two days of the event, bringing you more of what you’ve told us you want – more gameplay and insights from the teams making the games.
  • Weekends are meant for play, and this year we’ve moved the EA PLAY fanfest to Saturday, June 8 and Sunday, June 9 where players will get hands-on with our games. We’ll also have content creators streaming live from our Creator’s Cave in the Hollywood Palladium providing gameplay content to our players viewing online. EA.com will be the home for all online EA PLAY content.
