To save Novastraia, Torchlight III players will need to gather their wits and brave the frontier in search of fame, glory, and new adventures to become the legends the world needs them to be.
Below is a detailed list of features for the full release of Torchlight III:

Players will choose one of five of these at the beginning of their journey and level them up along with their primary class abilities. The relic is an important part of a character’s strategy – choose wisely!
Collect Epic Gear: Whether it’s armor, weapons, dyes, recipes, ember cores, or even new pets … there’s always more to find as adventurers battle through dungeons and take on dangerous foes. Today Larian Studios revealed the eagerly awaited early access release date for the upcoming RPG Baldur’s Gate 3. During the “Panel From Hell” livestream, the studio announced they’re aiming for Sept. 30, 2020, as the date Steam PC and Stadia players will be able to jump into the first act of the game’s early access content. The panel also went in-depth about Baldur’s Gate 3’s early access content, as well as the journey Larian is soon embarking on with players.
The final part of the game’s now roughly six-minute CGI introduction revealed that players begin their journey in Avernus, the first layer of the Nine Hells. Avernus featured heavily in the recently released D&D adventure module Descent Into Avernus, which saw the entire city of Elturel dragged into hell. The city was saved, but the aftermath of that cataclysmic event casts a shadow over the events of Baldur’s Gate 3. Players won’t just see the aftermath, however; captive aboard a nautiloid, they’ll take part in a daring escape as the ship jumps between planes of existence and is caught in the fury of the eternal, apocalyptic Blood War that rages across the hellscape. Avernus will be featured throughout the game, alongside many other locations to be announced later.
A highlight of the Panel From Hell was the “lobotomy scene,” a new gameplay snippet shown during the stream. As players attempt to seize control of the nautiloid, they find a corpse with its brain exposed. The brain itself seems to address the player, asking them to free it. At this point, players can decide to get their hands dirty, extracting the brain from the skull, which leads to the discovery that it’s not a brain at all, but rather a trapped Intellect Devourer. These creatures feed on the intelligence of sentient beings, taking over their victims’ bodies on behalf of their Mind Flayer masters.
Swen Vincke, Creative Director of Larian Studios, also showcased the scope of early access, giving details on how the size of Baldur’s Gate 3’s first act compares to Larian’s previous release, Divinity: Original Sin 2, when it launched in early access. Here are a few numbers that will emphasize the depth of Baldur’s Gate 3 in comparison to Divinity: Original Sin 2:
● Number of combat encounters: 22 in DOS2 EA vs. 80 in BG3 EA
● Number of English dialogue lines: 17,600 in DOS2 EA vs. 45,980 in BG3 EA
● Number of characters: 142 in DOS2 EA vs. 596 in BG3 EA
● Number of spells/actions: 69 in DOS2 EA vs. 146 in BG3 EA
Classes and races will be announced closer to September 30, but Larian today confirmed that Baldur’s Gate 3’s early access will include five Origin characters (as well as player-customized characters), with more to be announced throughout early access. The five launch characters are: Astarion (Elf/Vampire Rogue), Gale (Human Wizard), Lae’zel (Githyanki Warrior), Shadowheart (Half-Elf Cleric), Wyll (Human Warlock).
Through gameplay footage, and audience interaction, Vincke demonstrated how the game allows players to discover different permutations in encounters and dialogue depending on the characters they play and the choices they make. This depth of reactivity means that even in early access, multiple playthroughs will lead to different outcomes and developments not only for players and their companions, but for the many NPCs they meet and the world around them, too. In simple terms, playing “good” and “evil” will offer wholly different experiences with many twists and turns (all performance-captured) that other players may never see, depending on their choices.
While the studio is working towards the September 30 release date, there is still plenty that needs doing before players can dive into the world of Baldur’s Gate 3 early access on PC via Steam and Google’s Stadia. For more information about the early access philosophy covered today in Larian’s stream, we recommend keeping up to date with the community updates. Today’s will cover heat maps and the topic of how player input is parsed into functional data to improve the game. Heavy stuff!
Culminating three years of painstaking development from a small team of industry veterans, and closing out an exhilarating six-month promotional campaign that united millions of like-minded fans around the globe, Mortal Shell releases worldwide digitally today on PS4, Xbox One, and the Epic Games Store.
To mark the arrival, developer Cold Symmetry and publisher Playstack today reveal the haunting cinematic entitled “The Birth of Solomon”, created by film director Alessandro Pacciani whose credits include the cinematic trailer for Dark Souls 2 and the live action trailer for PUBG.
According to the developers, The Birth of Solomon depicts events which occur earlier in Mortal Shell’s timeline than the main story. Viewers are taken to witness a cataclysmic event at the Seat of Infinity before seeing the shell known as Solomon rise.
“We wanted to show a little more of Solomon,” said Cold Symmetry’s four co-founders – Andrew McLennan-Murray, Anton Gonzalez, Dmitry Parkin, and Vitaly Bulgarov – in a joint statement. “His birth is a turning point in the world’s history, and so it seemed fitting to announce the release of the game with a short depiction of this event.”
Kiron Ramdewar, Product Director at Playstack, added: “Since announcing Mortal Shell we have been astounded by players’ responses, from the 350,000 beta participants to the millions of views on our trailers. Mortal Shell has been a real labor of love and we cannot wait for players to get their hands on the game and explore the world of Fallgrim.”
Mortal Shell’s launch trailer comes soon after the announcement that a physical edition of the game is in production and due for release on October 2. The boxed version, featuring a fold-out poster and a softback artbook, will be available at all major participating retailers across North America and Europe.
Mortal Shell releases at $29.99 (€29.99 / £24.99) on the Epic Games Store, the PlayStation Store, and Xbox Games Store. The PC version comes to the Epic Games Store as a timed-exclusive. A Steam version will release later in 2021.
Warface Team is happy to announce the release of the latest PvE Raid, “Hydra”, available now as a free update for the Xbox One versions of the game. The PS4 version of the update will arrive later this week, and the Nintendo Switch version is scheduled to arrive this September.
After saving the colonists on Mars, the “Vega-5” squad and Agent Noda have been captured by Blackwood and are being held aboard “Hydra”, a mobile naval base. To save them, a special Warface unit – “Sigma-3” – has been deployed. The squad has reached the Blackwood base successfully but has been discovered and must defend their position.
PvE Raid “Hydra” features several new gameplay mechanics:
Unlike earlier raids, “Hydra” requires a smaller team of three players. This makes multiple playthroughs more diverse and interesting, as players have to compose new squad combinations from available characters to find the most effective way to fight back the enemy.
Unique location. “Hydra” features a new specially developed setting with unique assets in neutral colors that increase the readability of opponents on the map.
The new operation also brings the unique “Hydra” weapon collection to the game. With powerful weapons available for every character class, players can find a themed look for every occasion. The “Hydra” weapons can be acquired through extraordinary successes in the new raid.
The players must hunker down and defend a special terminal located at the center of the map, and repel 20 waves of Blackwood soldiers, cyborgs, and mini-bosses. For the final wave, the squad will face off against a powerful new boss.
“Hydra” features an all-new reward structure, unique to this PvE Raid. The rewards for victory increase with the number of enemy waves defeated.
Today, Microsoft releases the latest iteration of its venerable Flight Simulator franchise. From all accounts, the new Flight Simulator features beautiful environments, accurate flight modeling, a wide range of aircraft, and a whole lot more. So, it was only natural that some new peripherals have been created to allow flight sim gamers to more fully immerse themselves in the simulator. Some of these new peripherals comes from long-time peripheral-maker Thrustmaster. These are the folks responsible for some of the best flight sim controls in history – including my personal favorite, the Warthog HOTAS.
Recently, Thrustmaster unveiled its TCA (Thrustmaster Civil Aviation) range of controls – including the TCA Sidestick Airbus Edition flight stick. The design of the TCA Sidestick Airbus Edition controller was based off of the actual Airbus A320 sidestick flight control (yes, some airliners have sidesticks) and features a plastic handle coupled with hefty metal/plastic base. The feel of the stick is solid, although it does feel like plastic. However, with that plastic does come a cheaper price tag than could have been, so that is a mixed plus and minus. There is an array of six buttons on each side of the TCA Sidestick Airbus Edition’s base, which are all programmable inside whatever flight sim or game you like. At the rear of the stick’s base is a throttle slider with thrust reverse position which is cool. Additionally, the stick itself can rotate along its Z axis, allowing you to use it for rudder input as well.
Another cool feature of this new flight stick is that it is somewhat modular, being able to swap out the thumb buttons for truly ambidextrous usage. Not only is the stick ambidextrous, but it also has four different modules that can be plugged in, allowing it to better replicate an A380 stick or a more of a wider stick design. The choice is entirely yours and just adds to the peripheral’s value.
Under the hood of the flight stick is Thrustmaster’s tried-and-true H.E.A.R.T (HallEffect AccuRate Technology) system, which uses magnetic sensors to detect the position of the joystick throughout its range of motion. This technology makes the TCS Sidestick, as well as most of Thrustmaster’s stick line-up, extremely long-lasting thanks to it being a contact-less solution.
One game I LOVED using this peripheral with is mech battler, Mechwarror 5: Mercenaries. The TCA Sidestick Airbus Edition has a similar look and layout with the much older, and since discontinued, Microsoft Force Feedback 2 joystick (which was incredible for mech games like this) and the functionality works perfectly for the game. You can move your torso with the stick and change your direction of travel with the Z rotation all while controlling your weapons and throttle at the same time. If you are a Mechwarrior 5: Mercenaries or Mechwarrior Online gamer looking for a joystick, be sure to check this out!
Aside from the unexpected Mechwarrior usage, the TCA Sidestick Airbus Edition is perfectly matched with both the new Microsoft Flight Simulator as well as the previous Microsoft Flight Simulator X: Steam Edition of the game. The added immersion that using the stick provides is very nice. Of course, as a USB controller you can even use this in any game that utilizes a joystick, or other sim like DCS World – although for a combat simulation I would prefer a more specific kind of controller. Nevertheless, it is still more than usable in them! If I were to choose this flight stick for my flight games, I would eventually pick up the Thrustmaster TCA Quadrant Airbus Edition to go with it. This would provide a more HOTAS (Hands On Throttle and Stick) functionality and complete the Airbus look. The Quadrant control is not out yet, but due out sometime near the end of September. Thrustmaster will also be putting both the TCA Sidestick Airbus Edition and TCS Quadrant Airbus Edition into one bundle pack. Dubbed the TCA Officer’s Pack, it is not out yet but is also expected around the end of September.
The Thrustmaster TCA Sidestick Airbus Edition is available now, although it is in high-demand so supplies are limited, for around $69.99 which is a very reasonable price for a peripheral like this.
