Razer Announces New Console Lineup with Headsets, Charging Stands, and More

Razer™, the leading global lifestyle brand for gamers (Hong Kong Stock Code: 1337), today announced several new additions to its expanding console range with the Kaira X for Xbox and Kaira X for PlayStation, the Kaira and Kaira Pro for Xbox White, and Wolverine V2 White Edition. Also launching today is the Razer Universal Quick Charging Stand for Xbox, in a range of vibrant colors that perfectly match official Xbox Wireless Controllers.

“With the new Kaira X, gamers now have even more choice when it comes to picking their perfect Razer headset for either Xbox, PlayStation or PC,” said Alvin Cheung, Senior Vice President of Razer’s peripherals business unit. “And with the vibrant new range of colors on the Kaira X and charging stands, and the sleek white colors on the Kaira, Kaira Pro, and Wolverine V2, gamers can be as bold and bright as their hardware.”

Kaira X for Xbox and Kaira X for PlayStation

Taking a cue from Razer’s award-winning PC headsets, the Kaira X for Xbox and Kaira X for PlayStation both utilize Razer TriForce 50mm drivers to deliver high-quality gaming audio. With improved frequency separation, the TriForce Drivers provide crisp highs, clear mids and rumbling bass, for encompassing, immersive audio. In-game comms will be crystal clear thanks to the flexible, boom-mounted Razer HyperClear Cardioid Microphone, with a focused pick-up pattern to exclude unwanted background noise.

With on-headset controls for on-the-fly audio-adjustment and Flowknit Memory Foam Ear Cushions and headband padding, the Kaira X is built for comfort and convenience. Using a wired 3.5mm analog connection, the Kaira X range is cross-platform compatible, for use with most consoles, PC and mobile. The Kaira X for Xbox is available in classic black and white that match the Xbox Series X|S. Additional colors that match official Xbox Wireless Controllers are also announced in Shock Blue, Pulse Red, and Electric Volt. Lastly, the Kaira X for PlayStation is available in a theme that matches the PS5™ DualSense™ Wireless Controller.

Universal Quick Charging Stand for Xbox controllers

Completing Razer’s new colorful console line up is a range of Universal Quick Charging Stands, compatible with Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Xbox Elite Series 1 controllers. Using a magnetic docking system, the Universal Quick Charging Stands support quick charging for minimal gaming downtime and are available in Carbon Black, Shock Blue, Robot White, Pulse Red, and Electric Volt colors that match official Xbox Wireless Controllers. A special edition Aqua Shift color is also available at retailers Best Buy and Microsoft.

Kaira, Kaira Pro, and Wolverine V2 White Edition

Also announced today are the new Kaira, Kaira Pro, and Wolverine V2, all in White, creating a bold, clean, and fresh suite of Xbox Series X|S peripherals for gamers wanting style and performance from their Xbox peripherals.

With Razer TriForce Titanium 50mm drivers and a HyperClear Supercardioid Microphone, the Kaira Pro delivers stellar audio performance over Xbox Wireless and Bluetooth 5.0, for seamless, low latency gaming audio both on Xbox Series X|S and mobile. The Kaira for Xbox shares the same TriForce drivers as the Kaira Pro with a cardioid microphone, but supports Xbox Wireless only. Both headsets feature Flowknit Memory Foam Ear Cushions for long-term comfort, on-headset controls and EQ presets for music, movies, and gaming.

The Wolverine V2 uses Razer’s Mecha-Tactile Action Buttons and D-Pad, tuned for greater responsiveness and accuracy in-game. Two additional remappable bumpers add more customization and flexibility to button layouts, giving gamers more control over their game, including the all-important hair trigger mode for fast-paced action games.

Comica Audio Unveils VDLive10 Wireless Microphone System

Comica Audio www.comica-audio.com, a leading professional broadcast level audio company, launched today the VDLive10 line of versatile high quality 2.4GHz wireless USB-A/USB-C, Lightning, and 3.5mm Microphones for shooting video and live streaming with smartphones, cameras, computers and other devices. The VDLive10 line includes 2 lightweight models: the VDLive10 USB (for USB-A/USB-C) and VDLive10 MI (for Lightning). Both models also support 3.5mm output for cameras or smartphones. The wireless mics shoot live and recorded video, including music, interviews, YouTube and Instagram videos, and Facebook live, TikTok and Snapchat posts, Zoom and Skype business meetings, online teaching, and training live streams and webinars with high quality stereo audio support.

VDLive10 mics are dual-channel 2.4G wireless microphones that feature clear recordings, stereo modes, and switchable Simplex/Duplex transmission with two output modes for 3.5mm analog and USB/Lightning digital. The mics support Two-way Monitoring and Interaction to monitor audio of the transmitter and receiver. Compatible with a wide variety of smartphones, cameras, computers, and other devices, the VDLive10 line offers Intelligent Noise Reduction and a working distance of up to 98 feet (30m) for stable transmission at all times. The IPS Screen provides intuitive operation and usage with real-time monitoring of volume, audio dynamics, and output modes with an internal and external mic and a low latency at <20ms with stable transmission.

Superiority of 2.4GHz v. Bluetooth for Live Streaming

Comica Audio chose 2.4GHz transmission over Bluetooth because of its superiority in audio quality, live streaming, and social media apps. Bluetooth is not compatible with live streaming/social media; does not support high quality sound and creates a confusing audio delay. In addition, Bluetooth is not compatible with dual-channel transmission; is not plug-and-play and also has a delay in connection time. Therefore, 2.4GHz transmission is an overall superior choice for live streaming audio.

VDLive10 Features:

  • Dual-channel 2.4G wireless microphone ensures clear recordings with the microphone working properly at all times.
  • Provides switchable Simplex/Duplex transmission.
  • Built-in antenna.
  • Supports Two-way Monitoring and Interaction to monitor audio of transmitter and receiver.
  • Wide compatibility of use with smartphones, cameras, computers, and other devices.
  • Intelligent Noise Reduction.

Stunlock Studios today have published their latest dev blog in which Creative Director Martin Lövgren and Game Director Peter Ilves were consulted about what to expect when playing their open-world vampire survival game, V Rising, coming to PC on Steam with the Beta coming later this year. This Dev blog is full of information regarding the building of your castle – the base of all your vampiric operations and the foundation of your dark empire, hunting, combat and the importance of blood.

In the wake of the latest gameplay trailer, this Dev blog explores the setting and core mechanics that you will need to conquer in order to amass a vampire empire. Unlike in typical survival games, in V Rising you play as a vampire returning to greatness while hunting to survive and satisfy your sanguineous needs. Stalk the night and tactically plan your kills to brave the hostile world, crafting weapons and tools to appease your primal desires. As a vampire, blood is everything:

“Vampire society is an engine that runs on blood, and in the world of V Rising, that is perhaps more true than in many other vampire-themed games. Blood isn’t just what the undead drink to sustain themselves, but like veins running through a body, blood pumps through every aspect of what makes an unholy empire… In this game, you’re a predator. The focus on harvesting prey to advance your abilities is essential to living that fantasy, and you’ll find yourself cutting through endless enemies as you claw your way to the top”

Sharpen your fangs and get ready to rule the twilight as V Rising enters Beta in 2021. Sign up for the V Rising Beta and Newsletter here: http://www.playvrising.com

Farming Simulator 22 Shows Off Character Creation

With Farming Simulator 22, developer and publisher GIANTS Software introduces a new character creator with all sorts of new clothing items and accessories. With the new crossplay feature allowing players to cooperate with more like-minded farmers than ever before, the extension of the character customization allows farmers to stand out from the crowd. The comprehensive build mode offers even more space for a creative and individual game experience.

Latest fashion: Boots, beards, and branded outfits
Players choose from male and female character models, their hairstyle, including a beard or mustache, between various clothing items from top to bottom, and even authentic full-body outfits from international agricultural brands. With headgear, gloves, and glasses, there’s also a set of fashionable accessories to put on.

Creating a rough weather-hardened farmer with a big, bushy beard and striking sideburns in a brown leather jacket and firm boots is just as possible as creating a vigorous farmer-girl in protective clothing, rocking both a ponytail and safety glasses when driving the big forestry machines to do some precise wood cutting. If players want to dress up accordingly for each task, changing clothes is always possible by opening the wardrobe at the farmhouse.

Virtual farmers can wear their favorite brands
On top of the generic clothing options, virtual farmers can also choose from a set of branded outfits. When running a farming operation heavy on John Deere machinery, dressing up in the distinctive green company color adds to the authenticity of agricultural farming operations.

Case IH, CLAAS, Fendt, Massey Ferguson, Valtra, and others are also represented with their authentic outfits. Thanks to ELTEN, GIANTS Software’s trusted partner for safety shoes, and Engelbert Strauss, specialized in high-quality workwear, the safety of virtual farmers is guaranteed, too.

More customization for the farm
Customization of the farming experience doesn’t stop with the character: With the new and extensive build mode, players can also individualize their land. Big buildings, production plants, silos, machine halls, and animal pens may give farming operations that impressive size, already visible when multiplayer companions approach the land from afar.

But, details like sheds, fences, lamps and floodlights, as well as trees and plants add to the individual charm of each farm. Revamped and improved landscaping tools to sculpt and change the environment, allow players to even change the environment itself.

Farming Simulator 22 releases November 22nd for PC, Mac, PlayStation®5 (PS5™), Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation®4, Xbox One and Stadia.

Jaws of Extinction Gets A Huge Update

Forthright Entertainment today announced that it has published the 2.0 release for its open-world survival-horror game Jaws of Extinction onto Steam Early Access and the Epic Games Store. Developed by KYE Creations, Jaws of Extinction first came to Early Access in 2019. The huge 2.0 release is the title’s most significant update yet, delivering new features to die for – or survive with, such as new starting scenarios and an in-depth building system – as well as dozens of quality of life improvements.

Jaws of Extinction strands players on Eden-Nadir, an island swarming with mindless infected inhabitants. The difference between life and death in this dangerous world could be fighting off parasitic-infected hordes, outwitting vicious wildlife, or overcoming extreme weather. To help navigate these hazards, players can choose from a range of four distinct protagonists each with their own backstory and specialism allowing survivors to master essential skills such as scavenging, trading, crafting and hunting – all in the name of making it through just one more night. Working with the island’s living inhabitants is the only way to reach safety. But not all of the islanders can be trusted as the game weaves a spellbinding narrative across its mysterious open-world that will leave players second-guessing every decision they make.

The 2.0 update introduces a stack of features into Jaws of Extinction and improves upon existing mechanics. These additions include starting scenarios to challenge new and returning survivors, revised shooting and melee mechanics, and more detailed infected models to test improved combat. A modular base building system also allows players extensive control to create their stronghold out in the wilderness. Plus, the island of Eden-Nadir has received a graphical overhaul making the expansive map more beautiful and more dangerous than ever.

Update Features:

  • A modular base-building system that allows players to construct settlements
  • New interactable NPCs, including traders
  • A redesigned Eden-Nadir adds even more beauty to the undead wilderness
  • Morale, hygiene and disturbance-based survival systems
  • Fresh starting scenarios for each of the varied player characters
  • Infected nests for players to purge

Jaws of Extinction is available to buy now on Steam’s Early Access and Epic Games Store for $19.99. To get more Jaws of Extinction news and hear about new features and updates, follow Forthright Entertainment on Twitter and like Forthright Entertainment on Facebook.

Starship Troopers – Terran Command Demo Arriving on October 1st

On October 1st at 5 pm UTC the Steam Next Festival will commence. It is a six-day long event on Steam in which many upcoming games will make demos available to play for free. We have great news: Starship Troopers – Terran Command will be doing its part in the Steam Next Festival, and everyone will be able to download and play the demo.

The demo will contain two scenarios, including “Peace of Mine.” This is an early scenario that already features most of the game’s key mechanics: players will deploy the Mobile Infantry to defend a central outpost, which will serve as the staging point to reactivate mining facilities and clear out all bugs nests in the surrounding area. We know that you’ve been looking forward to more news about the game. From our side, we’re looking forward to hearing what you think. We can’t commit to a specific release date yet as we want to act on the feedback we will receive. We only ask you, if you’re willing, to give us your honest opinions on the missions you’re going to play, so that we can ensure that the game lives up to fans expectations. You can share your feedback on the new Starship Troopers – Terran Command Discord server, available from October 1st.

“Releasing a Starship Troopers – Terran Command demo at Steam Next Fest was a key decision in the development pipeline”, said David Sharrock, Executive Producer of the game. “We really want this game to deliver on the promise of a true Starship Troopers experience, and collecting feedback from the players is an important milestone of this process”.

The Starship Troopers – Terran Command demo will be freely available on Steam from Friday, October 1st at 5 PM GMT to Thursday, October 7th at 5 PM GMT.

Breakwaters Gets A New Trailer Showing off the Power of Water

Breakwaters, developed by Soaring Pixels, is an island-hopping survival adventure set in a breathtaking, ever-changing oceanic world. While it may look like a perfect paradise, your task is titanic—it’s up to you to defeat terrifying titans to calm the stormy seas.

With Early Access release date information rolling in soon, this is the perfect time to get to know the ropes of Breakwaters. Featuring the largest in-game ocean simulation, how you control the ocean and what lies beneath the waves will determine your success in this unique interactive open-world experience.

Originally announced via Kickstarter earlier this year, Breakwaters immediately resonated with fans and was funded in just 3.5 hours. Since hitting their initial funding goal, along with quite a few stretch goals, the team at Soaring Pixels has been busy preparing and perfecting some pretty cool features for the upcoming Early Access launch, including:

  • Boats. To build a boat, you must have blueprints and access to a floating dock. Different blueprints can be found or purchased in the Breakwaters world, with each boat having different functions and features, such as the number of contraption slots they have, where those slots are located, and how much contraption weight a boat can handle. The type of vessel you build plays a key part in your play style, and you’ll need to be strategic when considering the best vehicle.
  • Boat Contraptions. You must think carefully about what contraptions you’ll equip on your boat and how you’ll use them. Without a crane on board, you could miss out on grabbing sunken treasure from the ocean floor. Or, without a cannon on board, you could lose that sunken treasure and more if you can’t defend yourself while at sea. Other contraptions include fog lights, armor, ballista, sails, motors, and more!
  • Online Co-Op. No man is an island, not even in Breakwaters. While the single-player experience is compelling, exploring the 350+ square kilometer open world is more fun with friends. Work together to build a home base, team up to tackle a Titan or just walk the shoreline and take in the view
  • Pumps and Pipes. This feature set allows you to create plumbing systems that can drain bodies of water to reveal resources and pump water into structures for storage.  Use the water pressure to power contraptions and sensors to automate tasks across your homestead. By using pumps and pipes strategically, you can carve the world around you into the environment you need to succeed in your quest to become a Breakwater, whether that means turning a valley into a lake or creating a devastating flood in the lowlands.
  • Crystals. Using pumps and pipes isn’t the only way to move water to your advantage. Powerful crystals hidden in the world around you can help you create water where none existed, repel the ocean to harvest resources, attract water to a contained area and more.
  • Floating Docks. Not satisfied with living in a cozy, beachfront hut with an unbeatable view of the ocean? Use the floating dock feature to build your dream overwater bungalow!
  • Flexible Farming. A wide variety of farming options is just one way to create an island world that is both functional and beautiful. Whether you need to build a vegetable farm on a steep hillside, or you want to spruce up your place with some potted plants, the ability is there.

Breakwaters is designed for three different types of players: Homesteaders, Explorers, and Adventurers. This means players enjoy many different play styles, such as building, farming, combat/action, adventure and more. There’s something for everyone—casual players who enjoy life-sims can chill on the beach to harvest resources, while players who crave action and adventure can battle massive Titans that plague an otherwise peaceful world.

Breakwaters is set to launch this year on Steam, followed by other PC portals and console platforms at a later date (specific platforms still TBD). For more information, visit the website or Steam Page, or check out Breakwaters on Twitter, TikTok, Discord, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube.
