Total War: MEDIEVAL II Mobile Launch Date Trailer

Feral Interactive and Creative Assembly announced today that Total War™: MEDIEVAL II will release for iOS and Android on Thursday, April 7.

MEDIEVAL II brings Total War’s compelling mix of massive real-time battles and intricate turn-based strategy to mobile. Set across three continents during the turbulent Middle Ages, spectacular conflicts and scheming rivals mark the path to power as the great kingdoms of the medieval world vie for supremacy. Be it through diplomacy or conquest, trade or subterfuge, players must secure the resources and loyalty required to rule an empire from the shores of Western Europe to the sands of Arabia.

  • 17 playable factions to build into major world powers using statecraft, cunning and all-out warfare.
  • Huge real-time battles featuring infantry, archers and cavalry; all wielding a full range of authentic medieval weaponry.
  • More nuanced settlement management, additional agents to conduct state affairs, and more sophisticated campaign mechanics to forge alliances or destabilise rivals.
  • A campaign map spanning Europe, North Africa and the Middle East – and even the shores of the New World – through four centuries of competition, combat, and conquest.
  • A new intuitive user interface and refined touch controls for fingertip control of the battlefield.

Total War: MEDIEVAL II will be released on mobile on Thursday April 7 for $14.99 / £12.99 / €14,99. iOS players can pre-order now while Android players can register their interest on the Google Play Store here. Supported devices for each platform are listed on the App Store and Google Play Store.

ALIEN RPG Heart of Darkness Expansion Pre-Order Launched

Free League Publishing and 20th Century Studios today launched the pre-order for Heart of Darkness, the new Cinematic scenario for the multiple award-winning ALIEN RPG. A pre-order gives immediate early access to a full PDF of the module.

Find out more about the expansion here.

The company found a new lifeform, and they want you to study it. Their offer’s uncharacteristically generous—you catalog this organism, determine how they can use it, and bring it back so they can slap their patent on it. Fairly routine stuff. In exchange, they’ll hook you up with a cushy corporate department head position, secure you a book deal, and make sure the institute of your choice gives you tenure. Did I mention the money? There’s a lot of it. Simple survey, sample, and analysis job. Seemed too good to be true. Of course it is.

Heart of Darkness is a complete Cinematic Scenario for the ALIEN RPG, written by sci-fi novelist Andrew E.C. Gaska. It is a stand-alone adventure, but also serves as a conclusion to the Draconis Strain Saga begun in the cinematic scenario Chariot of the Gods and continued in Destroyer of Worlds. The scenario is designed for 3–5 players plus the Game Mother and is a spiraling descent into soul-crushing madness.

Heart of Darkness is now available for pre-order in the Free League Webshop. A pre-order will give immediate access to the PDF, ahead of the physical retail release in Q3.

The Cycle: Frontier’s Final Closed Beta Starts Today

The final closed beta for YAGER’s high-stakes first-person shooter The Cycle: Frontier kicks off today on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. You’ll find new features and content added since last year’s closed beta, which was experienced by nearly 350,000 players, helping to make The Cycle: Frontier the most wishlisted free-to-play game currently on Steam.

Discover a unique blend of PvE, PvP and co-op multiplayer gameplay in persistent matches with seamless matchmaking on a beautiful sci-fi world where every action can have massive consequences. The Cycle: Frontier’s new closed beta runs today through April 4, featuring:

  • New In-Match Activities: Fortuna III is getting even more dangerous! Call down laser drills and oil pumps (teased in today’s new trailer) to mine for resources, but be ready to defend your big payday from all those coming to steal it out from under you.
  • New Faction Campaigns: Three new faction campaigns will guide you through your first steps on the surface, all while unlocking valuable new gear and insight into the lore of The Cycle: Frontier.
  • New Monster Variations: Familiar fauna return with a few (deadly) surprises. New creature variations provide even greater challenges and rewards for those bold enough to take them on.
  • New Map Design: Both Bright Sands and Crescent Falls have been revamped for better traversal, with improved visuals to strike the perfect balance between Fortuna III’s danger and beauty.
  • New Enhancements: Experience improved combat balance, enemy AI, loot, and tutorials, as well as visual and audio optimizations, bug fixes and more, all driven by community feedback.

Welcome to Fortuna III, a treacherous world of alien beauty where the stakes are high and the rewards even higher. Drop down to the surface and fill your pockets with spoils, but beware: only those who evac alive keep their prizes. Mistakes will be punished quickly and cost you dearly, but every loss is a lesson learned that will make you better.

Be on the lookout for bloodthirsty beasts, a deadly radioactive storm, and other greedy players armed to the teeth. Prospect for riches alone, squad up with friends, and make temporary alliances with strangers – or go on the hunt and steal their hard-fought loot for yourself. You make the decisions: which path to take, which objective to tackle, which fight to pick or avoid, and when to evac.

At your home base on Prospect Station, you can use your newfound resources to upgrade your gear and buy new equipment. Increase your reputation with a variety of factions to unlock new combat options, and customize your loadout with the perfect tools. Your next drop to the surface is always just a couple of clicks away, and thanks to persistent maps and near-instant matchmaking, there’s always time for just one more game. Prospecting is a risky venture, but fortune favors the bold in the eye of the storm.

Learn more about what’s new in The Cycle: Frontier closed beta on the official YAGER blog. Keep up with the latest updates by following the game on Twitter and YouTube, and join the conversation with the devs on Discord.

Quantic Dream is Hiring

In 2021, Quantic Dream consolidated net results before tax of more than 5.8 M€, achieving a third consecutive year of record profits.
