ALIEN: Romulus Special Limited VHS Release Announced at Beyond Fest

Today, Director Fede Alvarez announced at a special Beyond Fest partnered screening at the Aero Theater in Los Angeles that 20th Century Studios will release the terrifying sci-fi horror thriller, Alien: Romulus, on limited edition VHS on December 3. An ultimate movie collector’s dream, the fully functioning VHS tape was created in celebration of the 45th anniversary of the legendary Alien franchise. The VHS package features artwork by renowned artist Matt Ferguson.

Director Fede Alvarez takes the phenomenally successful Alien franchise back to its iconic roots in the next jaw-dropping installment heralded by critics as “sheer terror” (Brian Truitt, USA Today) and “utterly breathtaking” (Andrew J. Salazar, Discussing Film). Alien: Romulus is Certified-Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes™ and has thrilled audiences at the box office, becoming the second highest grossing film in the Alien franchise globally.

Yesterday, Gun interactive announced plans to release new, Halloween-themed DLC for The Texas Chain Saw Massacre and its newest game mode, Rush Week!

With the Halloween Pack, players can deck out the Sorority Girls in a festive batch of new outfits: witch, cowgirl, nun, devil or kitty! At the outset of each match, you can choose which cosmetic you want and it will equip to whichever Sorority Girl you spawn in as, as each of these individual cosmetics works for all of the Sorority Girls.

Although the Halloween Pack is for the Rush Week game mode, it is NOT included with the TCSM Content Pass. Interested players will have the opportunity to purchase the Halloween Pack from their preferred platform’s storefront at $4.99 USD, beginning Tuesday, October 22nd.

We wanted the one hit kill removed, because that didn’t feel fair if a Victim had full health to be one shot by a Family member jumping in. The flip side is, it doesn’t feel fair to be Hands or Johnny and lose a close encounter to Connie. So with that in mind, we felt this made sense for the characters size, attributes, etc.

Halloween Horror Nights 2024 at Universal Studios Hollywood delivered a thrilling and immersive experience that solidified its reputation as a premier Halloween event. From terrifying mazes based on iconic horror franchises to innovative scare zones and captivating live entertainment, this year’s event offered a diverse range of frights for every horror fan.

One of the standout features of this year’s event was the impressive lineup of haunted houses. “The Weeknd: Nightmare Trilogy” provided a surreal and disturbing journey through the mind of the acclaimed artist, while “A Quiet Place” ingeniously incorporated American Sign Language to create a uniquely immersive and terrifying experience. “Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire” transported guests to a chilling new dimension of the Ghostbusters universe, and “Insidious: The Further” delivered intense scares with its masterful use of darkness and unsettling imagery.

Universal Studios also paid homage to classic horror with “Universal Monsters: Eternal Bloodlines,” a female-led maze featuring iconic creatures like Dracula and the Wolfman, accompanied by a haunting score composed by Slash. “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Legacy of Leatherface” celebrated the 50th anniversary of the slasher classic with a blood-soaked and chaotic experience. Beyond the mazes, the Terror Tram offered a chilling journey through the backlot, encountering iconic horror villains from Blumhouse Productions films like M3GAN, The Black Phone, and The Purge. The scare zones throughout the park were equally immersive, with “The Purge: Dangerous Waters” featuring a fiery live stunt show, “Luchadores Monstruosos” bringing a unique cultural twist to the scares, and “Skull Lordz” immersing guests in a gothic realm of the undead. Roaming chainsaw-wielding punks and menacing stilt-walking crows added to the unsettling atmosphere.

The attention to detail extended beyond the scares, with themed food and drinks enhancing the overall experience. The Weeknd: Nightmare Trilogy Bar offered cocktails with names inspired by the artist’s songs, while Chucky’s Dive Bar served up devilishly delicious concoctions. Leatherface’s BBQ provided hearty meals with a side of dread, and the Dia de Los Muertos food stand celebrated the cultural traditions of the holiday with authentic Mexican cuisine.

Exclusive merchandise allowed guests to commemorate their favorite experiences, with collections featuring Lil Boo, haunted house themes, The Weeknd, and Dia de Los Muertos. The horror even spilled over into Universal CityWalk, with themed food and drinks available at various restaurants.
