Cognition Europe is today announcing a PC demo for its debut game, hard science fiction and adventure, Lunar Strike, will launch next month ahead of participation in June’s Steam Next Fest.
Players will explore humanity’s last lunar base as Bo, an archivist on a mission to digitally archive humanity’s achievements on the Moon. But as their story evolves, their mission becomes critical as sabotage and espionage threatens the colony’s future.
The hard science fiction narrative means real-world physics is fully implemented into Lunar Strike’s gameplay, including 1/6th gravity; accurate propulsion and movement of the lunar lander, the Moon rover, and characters; the toxic effects of Moon dust; and more. The story is further enriched with a lore and narrative that raises philosophical questions about humanity’s use of technologies, inclusion, and cultural preservation.
Pushing its accuracy levels further is Cognition’s use of data through photogrammetry, structured light scanning, and LiDAR (light detection and ranging) technologies to recreate the lunar and comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko surfaces with extremely high fidelity.
Cognition is closely linked to non-profit organization, The Arc/k Project, which exists to digitally preserve humanity’s collective cultural heritage. The body’s mission forms the basis for Lunar Strike’s narrative.

During Early Access, the development team made substantial improvements and additions to the game, including three biomes (Grasslands, Taiga, and Rainforest), new dangers, an expanded family tree system for NPCs, and much, much more.
Having left a ruined Earth, players command a colossal generation ship, rebuilding settlements across diverse biomes aboard while searching for humanity’s new home across the cosmos. Each biome presents new challenges as players build cities, manage limited resources, and optimize production chains as they navigate difficult choices about humanity’s future among the stars. Gaijin Entertainment announces that Enlisted, the online shooter set in World War II, is expanding to include key battles from the Great War as well. To this end, squads with new extra-low Battle Rating levels – from zero to minus three – will be added to the game. Testing of the new mechanics will take place during the “All Loud on the Western Front” event, which will run until April 15th.
During this new event, players will be transported to the battlefields of the Great War, where they will find trenches, bolt-action rifles, clubs, and stationary machine guns. They will be able to experience war unlike anything they’ve seen in the game before. Here, a fierce battle for every inch of ground unfolds under artillery fire and gas attacks.
The event will center on a sector capture mode: two points are active simultaneously – one must be held, the other must be stormed. On a given signal, a general offensive begins involving the entire team, after which the enemy launches a counterattack. Particular attention is paid to the call for backup: radio stations are located at key positions, allowing players to call in artillery fire, bombardment, or even gas attacks. In the latter case, gas masks become not just cosmetic items as they were previously, but a vital piece of equipment.
For completing event objectives, players will earn Battle Pass rewards, including unique weapons of the era, themed customization items, and in-game resources. New items include the SMLE Mk III (T) and Mondragón M1908 rifles, as well as trench clubs, essential to the battles of World War I.
