There’s no better place to celebrate National Fried Chicken Day than the place famous for fried chicken – Mrs. Knott’s Chicken Dinner Restaurant. Knott’s Berry Farm invites guests to stop by and order a signature fried chicken dinner. Guests on this day will have the opportunity to experience special restaurant photo-ops, a collectible menu that pays tribute to the past and the opportunity to win prizes that include items such as complimentary appetizers, brunch passes and special discounts. (*While supplies last.) Guests who share the same birth year as the restaurant (with valid ID) will receive a complimentary meal!
The Fried Chicken That Launched a Theme Park
The story of Mrs. Knott’s Chicken Dinner Restaurant begins in the 1920s when Walter and Cordelia Knott began farming their acres of leased land in the farm community of Buena Park. To make ends meet, Cordelia began serving hot biscuits and homemade preserves to customers of the family’s roadside produce stand. Word spread, and by 1934 it became necessary for Cordelia to expand her menu to include her now famous country-fried chicken.
On opening day on June 13, 1934, Cordelia served eight 65-cent dinners on her own wedding china. By 1940, visitors were standing in line for hours to enjoy Walter’s boysenberries and Cordelia’s chicken. The challenge of entertaining the crowds led Walter to create an authentic Ghost Town on the property and Southern California’s first “themed” amusement park was born. Mrs. Knott’s signature fried chicken dinner meal continues to be served with its family-style dining that includes deliciously herb-seasoned fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, tossed green salad, cherry rhubarb, kernel corn, freshly-made buttermilk biscuits with butter and boysenberry preserve; and a slice of boysenberry pie for dessert.

Bandai Namco Entertainment America Inc. wants fans to get giddy – and if they’re serious about competition, “git gud” – for what is sure to be a memorable EVO 2024 in Las Vegas. The fight to become the first-ever TEKKEN™8 King of Iron Fist enters its biggest arena yet with TEKKEN™ WORLD TOUR competitions at EVO. The TEKKEN team is also planning exciting activities including livestreamed panels giving insight to what’s ahead for the acclaimed sequel in the legendary fighting game franchise. The upcoming anime brawler DRAGON BALL: SPARKING! ZERO is making a different kind of debut, bringing the first consumer hands-on demo to the show. EVO 2024 takes place July 19-21, 2024, at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
TEKKEN’s pro circuit hits its biggest US stop at EVO 2024. TEKKEN WORLD TOUR brings together the world’s best players to compete, and EVO will be the place to see some ‘good-ass TEKKEN’ as fighters vie for points to earn their spot to compete for a one-of-a-kind title – the first to be crowned as champion in TEKKEN 8. EVO will feature TEKKEN WORLD TOUR Master+ tournaments where players can earn maximum points for leaderboard rankings and the right to compete in the finals. TEKKEN 8 will feature large on the show floor, with demos that include newly released characters at the Bandai Namco booth for the duration of EVO as well as a special livestream and stage events on Friday, July 19, and Saturday, July 20. TEKKEN fans can also look forward to activities around a partnership with Chipotle, who will join Bandai Namco for a sponsored co-stream on Friday.
Bandai Namco has a different kind of treat at EVO for anime brawler fans. While not there for competition, attendees will be among the first in the world to get hands-on with a demo of DRAGON BALL: SPARKING! ZERO. Developed by Spike Chunsoft and harnessing the power of Unreal® Engine, the upcoming game is the first sequel in 15 years for DRAGON BALL Z: BUDOKAI TENKAICHI, the series that set the standard for arena brawlers. DRAGON BALL: SPARKING! ZERO promises lightning-paced combat, large destructible environments, and stunning visuals powered by new-gen platforms to deliver a true-to-the-anime experience. In the game, players can choose from a massive roster of characters and relive their favorite battles from across the DRAGON BALL universe.

In a ghoulish collaboration, Warner Bros. Discovery Global Themed Entertainment and Fever are bringing the strange and unusual world of Tim Burton’s “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” to life. Fans will soon have the chance to step into BEETLEJUICE
BEETLEJUICE: The Afterlife Experience, opening Friday, August 23 at Los Angeles’s Ovation Hollywood (6801 Hollywood Blvd, Hollywood). The one-of-a-kind 11,000-square-foot experience will open in
anticipation of “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice,” the hugely anticipated sequel to the original film, which will open exclusively in theaters on September 6, 2024.
BEETLEJUICE BEETLEJUICE: The Afterlife Experience will take guests on a journey into the iconic universe of everyone’s favorite bio-exorcist through over 11,000 square feet of all new and movie-packed touchpoints. Featuring recreated sets, live entertainment and various photo ops, fans will be immersed in the world of the recently deceased. Inside the experience, guests will knock three times to reveal a portal and cross the threshold into the Afterlife, where the one and only Beetlejuice awaits alongside a cast of eclectic ghosts. Grab an exclusive passport and take a seat in the Waiting Room next to a pair of ghosts; take your place on the cover of the Handbook for the Recently Deceased; come face to face with a legendary sandworm; and so much more. Capcom Co., Ltd. (TOKYO:9697) today announced that the digital version of Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster will be released on September 19, 2024, ahead of the physical version.
Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster is a revival of Dead Rising, a title that garnered fans across the globe due to its fresh concept and gameplay experience, developed on Capcom’s proprietary RE ENGINE. By bringing the game to a new generation of consoles, Capcom has enhanced the overall gameplay experience, such as with vastly improved graphics made possible with high-quality modeling, better play controls, and the addition of 3D audio. To mark the occasion, the development team is unveiling the forthcoming additional content celebrating a city on which all eyes will be focused this summer: Paris, the capital of fashion and luxury, but also of skate spots! Since January 10, 2024, subscribers to the PlayStation Plus Premium and Extra services have been able to enjoy Session: Skate Sim on PlayStation®5 and PlayStation®4 and join this growing community! The studio is planning to continue to actively support the game, through regular new updates and further additional content.
Session: Skate Sim invites players to dive into the genuine 1990s skateboarding way of life, when each stretch of pavement and each stairway was a great location for your favorite stunt. The game’s ultra-realistic physics bring the sensations of skateboarding to life, and the studio has even integrated ground-breaking gameplay, a first in a skateboarding game: the “True Stance Stick”, where each foot is independently managed using the two sticks. With a learning curve that is just as demanding as in real life, players have to practice how to control their board and pull off all the different stunts available in the game, from the simplest to the most complicated. The integrated editing tool lets each player immortalize their greatest achievements on video.

The Battlefield 2042 team has unveiled a new, one-of-a-kind surprise collaboration: an iconic crossover with the sci-fi survival horror classic Dead Space! The singular, limited time event, Outbreak will run for one week, starting on Tuesday, July 9 through Tuesday, July 16.
In Outbreak, squads are tested by their human resilience and resourcefulness against a new and relentless enemy all while trying to escape the Boreas laboratory.
