Straight out of QuakeCon, we’ve got some HELLISHLY awesome news to share with you! Video game remaster developer Nightdive Studios, Bethesda Softworks, and id Software have surprise launched enhanced editions of classic first-person shooters DOOM (1993) and DOOM II!

The definitive re-release of DOOM + DOOM II is available now on Windows PC (via Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG), PlayStation® 4|5, Xbox One and Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.

But that’s not all; Nightdive Studios has even more exciting activities ahead at QuakeCon. Let’s take a look.

Tomorrow, Nightdive Studios will host a special “Live at QuakeCon” episode of its Deep Dive podcast. Skybound Tabletop Announces Creepshow: The Suspense Building Game

Skybound Tabletop, a division of Skybound Entertainment, known for its blockbuster social party and light strategy games like Boo-ty Call, Trial by Trolley, Invincible: Escape from Mars, and more, today announced its licensing deal to launch a party game based on Creepshow. Releasing this fall, Creepshow: The Suspense Building Game, is based on the Eisner-award nominated comic book anthology from Skybound, which was originally inspired by Greg Nicotero’s hit Shudder TV series produced and licensed by Cartel Entertainment. The deal was brokered by Striker Entertainment.

Brian Witten is overseeing on behalf of Nicotero’s Monster Agency Productions.

The “Wheel of Awesome”

The news comes just weeks after announcing several major licensing deals for two of Skybound’s tentpole IPs The Walking Dead and Invincible and is an indication of Skybound’s ability transform its IP from a TV show, video game, tabletop game, collectible, podcast, or all of the above, into exciting, must-have entertainment.

Now this fall, tabletop fans and Creepshow readers alike will be able to experience the IP in a whole new way by becoming a creep themselves, where the creepiest gameplay strategy wins…or does it?

Welcome to Creepshow, a wicked story-building game where players become Creeps and weave twisted tales where dastardly deviants meet well-earned demises. You’ll need strategy and cunning for this game, and to know when to push your luck because deception could be waiting at every turn. Creeps create chains of story cards and secretly fill them with Suspense. At key moments in the story, when tension is highest, Creeps can bet on the amount of Suspense to score big. But beware of other Creeps sabotaging the story, you just may lose your head!

The game includes 54 Story Cards, : 9 Ending Cards, 34 Double Sided Point Tokens, and 5 Reference Cards. Creepshow: The Suspense Building Game was designed by Skybound duo Ben Kepner and Dan Strong, and features artwork from various designers from the Skybound original comic book anthology of the same name.

World of Warships: Legends Celebrates Five Years

Wargaming, the developer and publisher of the popular cross-platform naval warfare game World of Warships: Legends, has released an anniversary update to celebrate five years since the game’s release, packed with fresh content. It features a special charity activity to help preserve the USS Texas Museum ship, an anniversary event inspired by Ancient Greece, plus the brand-new Fleets Cup, three seasons of Ranked battles, and a traditional five-week campaign featuring the Pan-European Tier VIII Premium destroyer Velos.

Special DLC and Limited-Edition Console in Support of USS Texas

World of Warships: Legends has joined an initiative to restore and preserve the USS Texas, a former United States battleship and an important piece of naval history. The ‘USS Texas Legacy’ DLC, designed for Xbox and PlayStation, will donate all proceeds to the Battleship Texas Foundation, an organization dedicated to preserving and restoring the centenary USS Texas as a historical museum ship.

Today, on International Cat Day, publisher Annapurna Interactive and developer BlueTwelve Studio announced that the critically acclaimed award-winning cat adventure game Stray will release on Nintendo Switch on November 19.

In Stray, players take the role of a stray cat who must untangle an ancient mystery to escape a long-forgotten cybercity amidst the detailed neon-lit alleys and the murky environments of its seedy underbelly. Along the way, the cat befriends a small flying drone, known only as B-12. With the help of this newfound companion, the duo must find a way out.

Warner Bros. Games today revealed a video tour of the Triwizard School pitches in Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions, showcasing Beauxbatons Academy and Durmstrang Institute as referenced in the Harry Potter books and films. The game marks the first adaptation of these iconic wizarding world schools. The video provides a closer look at the schools’ Quidditch pitches, including a glimpse of their unique architecture, landscapes, and campus exteriors, as well as all new gameplay footage. As players progress through the Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions Career Mode, they will take part in the Triwizard Schools Quidditch Cup, where they can represent one of the three magical schools in the ultimate Quidditch experience. A month before its release, Focus Entertainment and Saber Interactive have premiered a new trailer for the highly-anticipated third-person action game Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2. This seven-minute extended multiplayer gameplay video shows off the game’s Operations (PvE) and Eternal War (PvP) modes in action for the first time since their reveal at the Warhammer Skulls Festival in May. Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 will be released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and the Epic Games Store on September 9 and will be playable as soon as September 5 for those who pre-order the Gold or Ultra Edition!

Fight With Your Friends… or Against Them!

Whether playing in Operations (PvE) or Eternal War (PvP), you’ll choose one of six playable classes (Tactical, Assault, Vanguard, Bulwark, Sniper, and Heavy) and earn Armoury Data and Requisition Points to spend on your Space Marine’s appearance through the game’s deep customization system.
