Welcome to the club! Midnight Murder Club, the devious hide, seek and shoot party game from the imaginative minds at Velan Studios is now available in early access for PlayStation 5 and PC for $19.99 USD, including crossplay and cross-progression support for players on both platforms, and the ability to host gameplay sessions. To make it a real party, Velan Studios has also released the Midnight Murder Club Guest Pass Edition at no charge. Up to five Guest Pass Edition owners can join games hosted by a player who has purchased the game.

In Midnight Murder Club, up to six friends can hunt each other in the pitch-black rooms of the mysterious Wormwood Manor. Armed with only a revolver and a flashlight, they will search the shadows for every flicker of light and every bump in the night as they stalk their prey. The tension turns to hilarity as friends, and foes, discover just how tricky it is to navigate and shoot in complete darkness! Midnight Murder Club features five thrilling modes, each with its own unique challenges to navigate, including:

  • Free-for-All – Six brave souls enter the mansion, and the player with the most kills when time runs out prevails among the rest.
  • Thief in the Night – Three fearless teams of two scour the mansion for valuable skulls to deposit into a vault. When the last vault closes, the team with the most value accumulated wins.
  • Team Deathmatch – Kill-or-be-killed with your team in a murderous stand-off.
  • Head Hunters – Two friends become foes as they hunt the remaining four players as they try to find and burn three hidden demonic totems in the haunting halls.
  • New Game Mode: Wildcards – Valiant attendees will play cards from their collection that change the rules for everyone in-game in wild new ways! From hijacking the toys that appear in vendors, to giving everyone super speed, to exploding into flames when you die—use these cards to show your wild side! Then, when the dust settles and the match is over, you’ll be gifted brand new cards to add to your collection giving you even more ways to change the game.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows Will be Verified on Steam Deck at Launch

We have some exciting news to share: our talented developers gave Steam Deck players the option to play Assassin’s Creed Shadows at launch ; despite initially announcing we wouldn’t be able to support until later. Indeed, the team made great progress over the past few weeks and was able to make it happen for launch, despite the fact the team thought it would not be the case. It is now fully confirmed the game is “Steam Deck verified” for launch on March 20th.

We know many of you who play on Steam Deck have requested this, so we’re thrilled to be able to bring Shadows to this platform. While graphical settings will be locked at launch, you’ll be able to choose the upscalers you want, and we’re looking into providing further options in future updates.

Steam players will also be able to enjoy Assassin’s Creed Shadows Achievements from day one, and you can find the full list of achievements here. You can also check out the collectible virtual trading cards, badges, emoticons, and background images coming exclusively to Steam.

Wishlist Assassin’s Creed Shadows now or pre-purchase it to get the Claws of Awaji expansion and Thrown to the Dogs bonus quest for free. Assassin’s Creed Shadows releases on March 20 on Steam, with the expansion launching later in 2025.

Tripwire Presents Unveils Turn-Based Viking Game, Norse

Tripwire Presents, the publishing division of Tripwire Interactive that focuses on releasing great games from other independent studios, today announced a new partnership deal with independent developer Arctic Hazard to publish their upcoming Viking-age, turn-based tactical title, Norse. Based in Vestby, Norway, Arctic Hazard is an independent game developer whose team have worked on a variety of critically-acclaimed AAA titles including Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey, Syndicate, and Origins, World of Tanks, Metro: Exodus, Age of Conan and more. Currently in development for Windows PC via Steam, PlayStation®5, and Xbox Series X|S, Norse is scheduled for release in North America and Europe in 2025. Shout! TV proudly presents Double Take, an all-new series where celebrity guests host and curate themed double features. Viewers can tune in for two films from Shout! TV’s catalog and exclusive content with hosts including discussions on the films.
