For Honor Cross-Progression and New Season: Downfall Out Now

For Honor’s latest season, Downfall, is out now bringing a new limited-time game mode, Hero skin for the Nobushi, Cross-Progression, and more. The new Hero skin is Lady Saori, a fierce warrior who once defended her castle from a treacherous attack by any means necessary.

The new mode, Bitter End, is the last phase of Breach, an asymmetric PvP mode where four Defenders must try to keep their NPC Lady Saori ally alive while four Attackers try to take her out. Attackers will have a limited amount of respawns and win by defeating Lady Saori. Defenders can win by depleting the Attackers’ respawns and then killing them one last time. Bitter End will also come with a free Event Pass, called Nightmare’s Dawn, featuring a unique Outfit, Mood Effect, and Ornament and lasts until Nightmare’s Dawn ends on October 2.

Downfall also coincides with the introduction of Cross-Progression in For Honor. Starting today, players will be able to merge all of their accounts and progression into a unified account accessible through their Ubisoft Connect account. This means that if you played For Honor on one platform in the past, but have switched to another, you can pick up your old account right where you left it and keep all the progress you make wherever you decide to play For Honor.

Finally, Centurion, Peacekeeper, Shinobi, and Berserker will all have new feats available in the Testing Grounds and Year 5 Season 3 rewards will be available through the Legacy Pass.

For Honor is available on Ubisoft+, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC through the Ubisoft Store, Steam, and the Epic Games Store.

Today, KOEI TECMO America and developer Team NINJA shocked fans by unleashing the first teaser trailer for the return of one of their most iconic games, the Japanese horror adventure, FATAL FRAME II: Crimson Butterfly REMAKE. Scheduled for release in early 2026, the game is currently in development for PlayStation®5, Nintendo Switch™ 2, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows PC via Steam®.

In FATAL FRAME II: Crimson Butterfly REMAKE, twin sisters Mio and Mayu Amakura find themselves lost in a village that has vanished from the map. Fighting to unravel the mysteries of the supernatural phenomena surrounding them in a village of never-ending night, the twins are hunted by vengeful spirits as they attempt to escape a mysterious ritual. Separated from her sister, Mio attempts to find Mayu and escape, armed only with the Camera Obscura, a device that captures and seals away the impossible. Unbeknownst to her, Mio’s actions will involuntarily reproduce the past and lead her to the deepest reaches of the village, where she will uncover the truth behind the “forbidden ritual that must never be witnessed.”

Featuring breath-taking horror effects and atmosphere alongside intense battles, players will feel the unease and fear of exploring the abandoned buildings shrouded in darkness as the story of a sister’s bond unfolds, guided by a crimson butterfly.

FATAL FRAME II: Crimson Butterfly REMAKE is a full remake of the second game in the horror series which was originally released in 2003 for PlayStation®2 as FATAL FRAME II: Crimson Butterfly, one of the most acclaimed games from the FATAL FRAME series. FATAL FRAME II: Crimson Butterfly REMAKE will feature a complete overhaul of the original game, including graphics and audio enhancements, as well as improvements to core gameplay systems and controls. The Camera Obscura, a key mechanism in the series, will offer fans a richer and more captivating gameplay experience both during exploration and combat.

The game is currently in development and is scheduled for release early 2026 on PlayStation®5, Nintendo Switch™ 2, Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC via Steam®. The game will include voices in Japanese with texts in English, French, German, Italian and Spanish.

Today, Stern Pinball, Inc., the largest designer and manufacturer of pinball games in the world, revealed their newest collection of pinball games inspired by one of the biggest entertainment franchises in the world. Stern Pinball is excited to bring Star Wars™ to existing and new generations of pinball players, taking them on an epic adventure to save the galaxy once and for all with a fresh take on the original trilogy. Star Wars: Fall of the Empire pinball games are available in Pro, Premium, and Limited Edition (LE) models. Action Cinema is hyper-violently represented with the most electrifying films of the year. Stunt icon Kenji Tanigaki brings his instantly infamous epic-fight-fest, THE FURIOUS, to the Egyptian Theatre for its U.S. Premiere. SISU: ROAD TO REVENGE sees Jalmari Helander dispatch his bullets and bombs to the Red Army, and PSYCHO GORMAN’s Steven Kostanski reinvents the iconic DEATHSTALKER with an abundance of practical effects and gore galore.

Beyond Fest continues its tradition of honoring Cinema icons with unforgettable in-person events. Complementing the previously announced Guillermo del Toro retrospective, Japanese icon Meiko Kaji takes center stage with her first-ever U.S. appearance, celebrating decades of legendary performances. Beyond Fest will honor her career with a rare series of 2K restorations, including LADY SNOWBLOOD, FEMALE PRISONER #701: SCORPION, STRAY CAT ROCK: DELINQUENT GIRL BOSS, and BLIND WOMAN’S CURSE. Oscar-winner Sean Baker will join Kaji in conversation, offering audiences a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience the charisma, ferocity, and enduring influence of one of Japanese Cinema’s most electrifying figures.

William Petersen is celebrated with TO LIVE AND DIE IN L.A. and a screening of MANHUNTER, Tim Robbins joins for the World Premiere of the 4K restoration of JACOB’S LADDER paired with Altman’s acerbic Hollywood takedown THE PLAYER, the Horror Master himself, Ryuhei Kitamura joins to celebrate his kaiju-tastic GODZILLA: FINAL WARS; John Carpenter, joins for an impossibly rare 70mm screening of BIG TROUBLE IN LITTLE CHINA, Rob Reiner channels his Stephen King with a double bill of STAND BY ME and MISERY, Al Pacino takes us back to the technicolor explosion of DICK TRACY, a special screening of HOUSE with Willam Katt, we celebrate the 10-year anniversary of Karyn Kusama’s THE INVITATION with a special cast and filmmaker reunion, Gore Verbinski returns to the Egyptian Theatre for a very special screening of THE RING and the legendary Butthole Surfers reunite in person for Tom Stern’s THE BUTTHOLE SURFERS: THE HOLE TRUTH AND NOTHING BUTT.
