Battlestar Galactica: Scattered Hopes to Launch in Spring 2026

Prepare to make life or death decisions to evade the galaxy’s most ruthless force: publisher Dotemu (Absolum, MARVEL Cosmic Invasion) and developer Alt Shift (Crying Suns) in collaboration with Universal Products & Experiences today announced Battlestar Galactica: Scattered Hopes will launch on PC for Spring 2026. This innovative, tactical video game inspired by one of the most iconic sci-fi franchises of all time immerses you into intense, narratively driven situations in an ever-changing, roguelite-style fight for the fleet’s survival. Download Battlestar Galactica: Scattered Hopes’ demo now as part of Steam Next Fest: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2535950/Battlestar_Galactica_Scattered_Hopes/

Alt Shift’s mastery of consequence-driven storytelling and gameplay centered on tense crisis management sees you take the helm of a modest fleet of spaceships in Battlestar Galactica: Scattered Hopes. You must flee humanity’s settled worlds, known as the Twelve Colonies, while pursued by the merciless Cylons. Survival depends on tactical brilliance and calculated fleet management as you prevent sabotage from within.

Watch how challenging decision making blends with a hybrid of real time and tactical combat in today’s new trailer:

In Battlestar Galactica: Scattered Hopes, you make the most of your crew’s time to prepare for the next Cylon assault. You may explore different points of interest for resources while finding new items or crew members, but there is always something happening in your Fleet: urgent issues caused by the previous battle to fix, quarrelling factions to deal with or hidden Cylons to catch.

Once the deadly Cylons make contact with forces, a battle begins. Drawing inspiration from the iconic franchise’s theme of persevering against an overwhelming enemy as well as the climatic escape within the TV series’ “33” pilot episode, Battlestar Galactica: Scattered Hopes’ skirmishes center around a simple but key concept of survival: “resist until you can jump.”

Deploy fighters from hangars and direct them in hybrid real time and tactical combat scenarios to dispatch the Cylons, minimizing damage to the central ship while wielding its onboard defenses against the gravest threats. Endure an onslaught until you can flee to another sector of the galaxy, choosing your destination (and potential rewards) based on your most dire needs.

Each run in Battlestar Galactica: Scattered Hopes offers new lessons as you adapt to defy odds of survival, and tactical options broaden as you unlock additional squadrons, weapons and traits as well as meta upgrades to benefit future runs. Your decisions meaningfully alter your fleet’s fate as you lead fighters through high-risk battles and jump to new sectors before the Cylons turn your ships into astral debris. With humanity’s haven in the Twelve Colonies now uninhabitable, steadfast tactical leadership is the only hope of surviving the journey to humankind’s last hope, the Battlestar Galactica. So say we all.

Battlestar Galactica: Scattered Hopes builds on Alt Shift’s celebrated narrative tactical release in the 1 million+ player game, Crying Suns, and evokes Battlestar Galactica’s striking universe through beautifully detailed artwork. For the latest intel on Battlestar Galactica: Scattered Hopes, wishlist the game on https://store.steampowered.com/app/2535950/Battlestar_Galactica_Scattered_Hopes/, and follow @Dotemu and @AltShift on X.

Cthulhu: The Cosmic Abyss Investigation Trailer Released

As the release of Cthulhu: The Cosmic Abyss draws near, NACON and developer Big Bad Wolf are pleased to unveil a new gameplay trailer entirely dedicated to one of the game’s core pillars: investigation. This video plunges players into the heart of Noah’s investigation in a seemingly abandoned underwater mining station, where his sanity is put to the test against unspeakable horrors.

To discover the unique atmosphere and original mechanics of this narrative investigation game before its release on April 16, players can try the public demo on PC during the Steam Next Fest on February 23rd.

This new trailer takes us through the oppressive corridors of the Ocean-I mining station, which Noah finds deserted. The location bears the marks of a fierce struggle and a devastating madness: claw marks on the walls, strange runes painted in blood, unknown organic matter, a severed arm… all clues that point to violent and occult events. To understand what happened, the player must use their wits and the abilities of their personal AI called KEY.

The trailer highlights several key mechanics:

  • Clue Analysis: KEY is permanently connected to the database of the ANCILE (the agency Noah works for). This allows it to cross-reference what Noah finds in the field with what other investigators have encountered in previous cases. Analyzing evidence allows KEY to determine the composition of materials, which in turn unlocks new frequencies for its sonar. These frequencies can then be used to track elements with a similar composition.
  • The Sonar: A multitasking tool, the sonar helps Noah navigate dimly lit areas and discover hidden paths by highlighting volumes. Another feature allows it to track clues by tuning into specific frequencies. In the trailer, the player tracks bloodstains through the station to learn more about the attack on the Ocean-I personnel.
  • Object Manipulation: Every object can hold a secret. By inspecting evidence from all angles, Noah and KEY can uncover additional information and hidden clues essential for progressing in their investigation.

Dive into an investigation where every decision shapes your destiny and your sanity. In Cthulhu: The Cosmic Abyss, each chapter presents a dilemma: will you choose the obvious but perilous path, accelerating your descent into madness, or the more subtle trail that requires thorough investigation to make the right choice? Be warned, every discovery comes at a price, and your decisions will directly impact the end of your story.

Lost Eidolons: Veil of the Witch 1.3 Update Trailer

Ocean Drive Studio and Kakao Games have announced that a major new update is now available for Lost Eidolons: Veil of the Witch, adding quality of life improvements on PC.

Update 1.3 brings new Quick Expeditions to Lost Eidolons: Veil of the Witch, allowing players to jump into shorter runs of the game with fewer battles and events. Quick Expeditions are unlocked after finishing Act 3 for the first time, and can be toggled from the Set Out screen, giving players a new fast-paced experience for bite-sized turn-based tactics sessions.

The new update also adds the Phantom Arena, a brand new mode where players can save their party build from a previously completed expedition, and take it into fresh combat scenarios, with new Side Challenges and rewards on offer.

Finally, enemy difficulty can now be adjusted in both Phantom Arena and expeditions using the Enemy Mastery Slider, letting players set the enemy challenge level without it being tied to Trial conditions. Changing the Enemy Mastery levels affects all enemy stats except for their movement. You can check out the full patch notes on Steam here.

Update 1.3 for Lost Eidolons: Veil of the Witch is available now for PC, and is coming soon to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.

STYX: BLADES OF GREED IS NOW AVAILABLE ON CONSOLES AND PC

The most infamous goblin is back! Cyanide Studio and NACON are pleased to announce that the stealth game Styx: Blades of Greed officially launches today on PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam, Epic Games Store). Set in a medieval fantasy world, players step into the role of Styx, a devious goblin with a devastatingly dark sense of humor and a true master of stealth, as he hunts for Quartz — a resource as precious as it is dangerous. Explore vast vertical environments, master new tools and powers, and uncover the sinister presence hidden within the Quartz.

Styx: Blades of Greed builds on the proven formula of the first two installments and perfects it by placing freedom and creativity at the core of the experience. Every situation becomes a playground where intelligence, tactics, and experimentation are your greatest weapons. There is never just one way forward: players invent their own solutions to stealth puzzles by sneaking, trapping, or assassinating enemies without leaving a trace, greatly enhancing replayability.

Styx has many new tricks up his sleeve. He can harness the mysterious powers of Quartz to control his enemies—or even time itself! The master of stealth also gains new traversal tools: a glider that allows him to soar through the air, metal claws to climb sheer surfaces, and a grappling hook to reach previously inaccessible areas. Players can fully customize Styx by upgrading his powers and tools through a skill tree and equipping runes, shaping the gameplay to match their personal playstyle. For the first time in the series, the game adopts a Metroidvania-style approach, gradually unlocking access to new areas that were previously out of reach.

Developed on Unreal® Engine 5, the game delivers vast, stunning environments to explore freely.

Whether you are discovering the world of Styx for the first time or are a long-time fan, it has never been so much fun to be greedy!

Draw Your Weapons Launches Official Trailer from Titmouse and Critical Role

Today, Emmy award-winning animation studio Titmouse, the studio behind The Legend of Vox Machina and The Mighty Nein, in collaboration with Critical Role, a leader in storytelling and world-building, officially announced Draw Your Weapons, an original actual-play series premiering February 25, 2026 exclusively on Beacon.tv.

Led by Game Master Josh Knapp (The Tonight Show), Draw Your Weapons follows a party of unlikely heroes played by Rashawn Scott (South Side), Sean Glaze (Regular Show), artist Heather Mahler, and musician Jason Charles Miller, as they venture across the city of Port Promise and beyond the continent on increasingly unhinged quests. Standup comedian and writer Blaine Capatch and Titmouse Founder & CEO Chris Prynoski call the action with play-by-play commentary, while live drawing and confessional cutaways turn the table’s worst ideas into immediate consequences. In Draw Your Weapons, if someone draws it, the world has to deal with it, including weapons, gadgets, monsters, ill-advised plans, you name it! It’s fast, loud, and art-first, with big punk/DIY energy and zero interest in playing it safe. The season runs 11 episodes with new episodes released every Wednesday.

Fans are invited to draw right alongside the show in the Beacon Discord, with fan art submissions running through Critical Role’s existing submission pipeline for consideration to be included in the weekly art gallery highlights on critrole.com.

Emberville Convergence Showcase Trailer

Revealed just shy of a month ago, Emberville quickly caught viewers off guard as Cygnus Cross lifted the curtain on what the team has been quietly developing for the past three years. Today, during the Convergence Showcase livestream, the developer returned with another surprise, announcing the latest addition to Emberville’s growing voice cast, alongside an expanded role for a previously revealed fan-favorite.

Already confirmed as a core cast member, Alex Jordan (The Alters, Cyberpunk 2077, Dragon Age: The Veilguard) has officially stepped into a dual role on Emberville, serving not only as a voice actor but also as the game’s Performance Director. The move further cements what Cygnus Cross has described as an all-star roster of talent, both behind the mic and behind the scenes.

“The thing that really makes any project stand out to me is the developers themselves, the people at the core of it all,” said Jordan. “You can have the best concept in the world, but if the team isn’t utterly devoted and approaching it with a level of detail and nuance, the result will always be mediocre. Cygnus Cross showed me that not only is Emberville an incredibly cool idea, but they also have that detail and nuance in overflowing abundance. Their care and commitment to creating something with legacy and quality for their players is what truly makes me excited about Emberville. Oh, and I lied to Doug about him getting sausages to help get the deal across the line… don’t tell him.”

Previously revealed cast member Doug Cockle (The Witcher, The Alters) echoed that enthusiasm when speaking about joining the project. “The passion, skill, and experience going into the development of this game is phenomenal,” said Cockle. “I’m always attracted to projects where the team has a clear goal in mind, and the drive and knowledge to reach for it, especially when that goal pushes boundaries. That’s exciting to be part of. Plus, they told me there would be small sausages. I like small sausages.”

Also revealed during today’s showcase is the addition of Abubakar Salim, best known as the voice of Bayek of Siwa in Assassin’s Creed: Origins and as Alyn of Hull in House of the Dragon. Salim joins the cast as the latest high-profile addition to Emberville’s lineup.

“I look for projects that take risks, and Emberville is absolutely pushing the envelope,” said Salim. “Seeing how this team is deconstructing the genre is inspiring, and doing it with such intellect and intent is awesome.”

With its cast continuing to grow and development momentum building, Emberville is shaping up to be one of the most personality-driven titles of the year. More details on the game (and its apparently very sausage-motivated ensemble) will be shared in the months ahead.
