January 4, 2018 – Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announced today the characters in Champions, the next downloadable Character Pack for LEGO® Marvel Super Heroes 2. The upcoming pack, priced at $1.99, will add characters from Marvel Comics’ popular Champions comic book series, offering players the chance to unleash the limitless strength of Amadeus Cho and supersonic flight of Nova. The pack also includes Ironheart, Devil Dinosaur, Moon Girl, Viv, Wasp (Nadia Pym), and Hawkeye (Kate Bishop), expanding the main game’s roster of over 200 Super Heroes and Super Villains.

The Champions are a group of teenage Super Heroes started by three Avengers disillusioned by the behavior of their elders and the general state of distrust by the people towards super-powered beings. Eager to show the world what it truly means to be a Super Hero, they formed their own team and soon recruited other teenagers with similar ideals to their cause. Together they are determined to change the world their own way!

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 is an all-new, epic adventure and sequel to the smash hit, LEGO Marvel Super Heroes. This original branching storyline, co-written by award-winning comic book writer Kurt Busiek, transports players into a cosmic battle across a myriad of Marvel locations ripped from time and space and combined to form the incredible Open Hub World of Chronopolis. Packed with signature LEGO humor for fans of all ages, gamers will go head-to-head with the time-travelling Kang the Conqueror in this fun-filled journey spanning the Marvel Universe.

The Champions character pack can be purchased separately or as part of the Season Pass, which provides access to six Level Packs and four Character Packs, including the previously released Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 , and the Out of Time and Agents of Atlas Character Packs. The Season Pass is available for $14.99 or as part of the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 Deluxe Edition, which features the main game, access to the Classic Guardians of the Galaxy Character Pack, and an exclusive Giant-Man LEGO Minifigure (Minifigure only available in the physical version of the Deluxe Edition).

Knott’s PEANUTS Celebration Announced for Knott’s Berry Farm

Buena Park, Calif. – The Knott’s PEANUTS Celebration, an all-new Seasons of Fun event uniquely dedicated to celebrating the beloved PEANUTS characters, invites guests to step inside the pages of a Charles M. Schulz comic strip as the characters take over the entire theme park for the very first time. The newly introduced event will take place on weekends beginning January 27th through February 25th plus President’s day, February 19th. The limited time celebration invites fans of all ages to join in on the fun by introducing new ways for guests to play and interact with the PEANUTS Gang throughout the park. The event will feature special PEANUTS inspired décor, new social media worthy comic strip photo ops, new character experiences, live shows, exclusive merchandise and deliciously themed treats to complete this whimsical celebration.

The celebration will have plenty of surprises hidden around every corner. One-of-a-kind photo opportunities will be available throughout the park allowing guests to pose alongside their favorite characters or step into a PEANUTS comic strip to create a unique and lifetime memory. The vibrant décor will include full size comic strip props like Charlie Brown’s kites and the iconic kite eating trees which will adorn the park’s pathways. Guests will have the chance to meet with the beloved PEANUTS characters throughout the day as the characters appear at unexpected locations for special interactions.

Camp Snoopy Theater presents an all-new show where Lucy and Charlie put their talents to the test in Lucy and Charlie’s Balancing Act. Also in Camp Snoopy, the Grand Sierra Railroad invites kids to celebrate with the PEANUTS Gang as they head to the Beagle Bonanza in this new ride overlay.

The PEANUTS inspired festivities continue at the Birdcage Theatre as the park introduces an experience that gives both the young and the young at heart a lesson on how to draw their favorite PEANUTS character. The PEANUTS Sketch School will include our resident art teacher who will provide step by step instructions on how to draw the perfect PEANUTS masterpiece. After class is dismissed, a special showing of a classic PEANUTS television special will be shown in the theatre.

Franklin and Linus are on a Western escapade as they transform into cowboys in the new PEANUTS Cowboy Jamboree at Calico Park. The boys are looking to challenge guests with some of the rootinest, tootinest games in Calico. Also in Ghost Town, everyone’s favorite messy pal, Pig Pen will be making his Knott’s Berry Farm debut as he hosts a special meetup at the Livery Stables with some of his favorite animal friends.

The celebration continues at the Calico Mine Stage where the PEANUTS characters have two all-new musical surprises for guests. During the day Sally and Schroder will host a retrospect of music in The Music Goes Round and Round where they’ll have the audience dancing in the aisles. At nightfall the stage will transform into a musical extravaganza as the park presents the first ever Woodstock’s Musical Festival. The musical event will feature the Peanuts Gang joined by the family-friendly indie band The Jelly of the Month Club, performing a high energy rock concert for the whole family. Guests will also uncover hidden fun as they venture into Fiesta Village were Lucy and Sally have taken a journey south of the border as they have been introduced to the colorful dancing of Mexico. Lucy and Sally’s Fiesta Fantasy will bring lively music, traditional costumes and live performances to the Fiesta Village stage.

World of Warships: Battle of the North Cape Announcement

December 21, 2017 — In the run up to the holidays, World of Warships is excited to announce its Battle of the North Cape event. This historically inspired campaign runs from December 21 to January 17 and players can earn the legendary Royal Navy Battleship Duke of York, in addition to other warships throughout the campaign.

To add Duke of York to their navy, players need to successfully complete a set of 5 challenging campaign missions. In doing so, not only will they earn the ship, but will also be rewarded with an array of items from the special holiday collection, including photos and pieces of warships, emblems, flags and medals.

Commanders that conquer the challenge and then secure their first victory in their newly acquired Duke of York will open another set of campaign missions, letting them instantly earn five researchable Tier VI warships and a camo for each ship, regardless of their current Tech Tree progress:

  • Ernst Gaede (German destroyer)
  • La Galissonnière (French cruiser)
  • Queen Elizabeth (British battleship)
  • Fushun (Pan-Asian destroyer)
  • New Mexico (US battleship).

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Xbox One X Enhancement Update Released

12/20/2017 – CD PROJEKT RED, creators of The Witcher series of games, announce the release of the Xbox One X upgrade patch for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. In addition, the studio announces that an upgrade patch introducing HDR support will soon be released for the PlayStation 4 Pro computer entertainment system.

The Xbox One X upgrade patch for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt introduces a number of graphical features and tweaks to the game across two visual fidelity options — 4K Mode and Performance Mode.

In 4K Mode, the game and all its additional content will run in 4K resolution (or supersampled on a non-4K display), featuring enhanced shadows, ambient occlusion and texture filtering, as well as higher resolution textures and gameplay at 30 fps. Switching to Performance Mode will enable dynamic resolution scaling, rendering the game at a resolution of minimum 1080p and up to 4K, while targeting 60 fps during gameplay. Both modes will additionally feature support for HDR, making the game look more vivid when played on an HDR-capable display. The PlayStation4 version of the game received a similar upgrade patch for the PlayStation4 Pro system earlier in October, which introduced 4K resolution and enhancements such as improved ambient occlusion, texture filtering, as well as an all-around performance boost. Users of the PlayStation4 Pro system can expect an additional upgrade patch, featuring support for HDR and a number of technical tweaks improving the overall experience, to be released in the near future.
