World of Warcraft: Battle of Azeroth Release Date

Battle for Azeroth – Standard, Digital Deluxe, and Collector’s Editions

World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth will be available in both a standard edition (physical and digital versions available; SRP $49.99) and Digital Deluxe Edition (SRP $69.99). The latter contains an arsenal of in-game bonuses for a variety of Blizzard games, including the Seabraid Stallion (Alliance) mount, Gilded Ravasaur (Horde) mount, and Tottle the Baby Tortollan pet for World of Warcraft; an “Azeroth Is Burning” card back for Hearthstone^®; a Primal Flamesaber mount in Heroes of the Storm^®; Horde and Alliance sprays for StarCraft^® II; and a collection of faction-themed extras for Overwatch^®.

Enter into Joe Mirabello’s spiritual successor to Tower of Guns that mixes the FPS and bullet-hell genres in ways unique to his vision. As we near the release of MOTHERGUNSHIP, now scheduled for Summer 2018, we wanted to give you a quick and easy recap on what you might’ve missed in the last few months.

Gun Customization:

See that massive machine in the cover art? That’s the MOTHERGUNSHIP, and yeah, you’re supposed to fight it. Luckily, MOTHERGUNSHIP (the game) lets the player craft, create, and customize their very own gun monstrosities to fend off all the foes you’ll face along the way. The only boundary is making the barrel face forward. The rest is up to your creative will. Joe Mirabello wanted the process to be exploratory and “game breaking”. With different barrels, caps, and stock pieces, players customize the shape, output, and total energy consumption of the weapon. Want to make a 10-barreled flamethrower sniper that’s shaped like a box in your FOV? Yup, go for it. How about a gravity dipping grenade launcher that also has 3 shotgun barrel attachments? Totally! Oh yeah, you could also make something more manageable too.

We’ll have some exciting news to share soon about how players can try their hand at this before release. But, ummm, that’ll come soon 😉

New Fleet Ships:

The MOTHERGUNSHIP is the final big bad you’ll have to face, but in order to get to it, you’ll need to take down the fleet that protects the leader of them all. The foundry ships are responsible for the creation of all the legions of robots you’ll face along the way. Enter into the molten heart of these ships but keep in mind that the heat will be your friend and foe as you traverse the space.

Luminosity Wins CWL Birmingham Open

April 2, 2018 – This weekend, competitors from around the world arrived in Birmingham, United Kingdom, to compete for the top prize at the CWL Birmingham Open, presented by PlayStation®4, but only Luminosity walked away champion. Teams Splyce, Rise Nation and OpTic Gaming rounded-out the top four spots at the three-day competition in Call of Duty: WWII, hosted at the INSOMNIA62 Gaming Festival.

For their win, Luminosity had to overcome local favorites Splyce in front of a passionate and vocal crowd. “Winning Birmingham means a lot to me. After Atlanta we really decided to show up here and win this,” said Team Luminosity’s Johnathan “John” Perez.

Fans from around the world watched online as teams from North America, Europe, and the Asia-Pacific region competed via MLG.com/CallofDuty and Twitch.tv/CallofDuty, also via the in-game Call of Duty®: WWII theater within Headquarters on PlayStation®4..
