ROCCAT Unveils Titan Switch Tactile Mechanical Switch

HAMBURG – May 31, 2018 – ROCCAT, the Hamburg-based esport equipment manufacturers, announced the Titan Switch Tactile, its first switch designed in-house and developed in collaboration with TTC, a leading manufacturer of keyboard switches. As a mechanical switch, the Titan is the perfect mix of competitive speed, first-class typing feel and striking aesthetics. ROCCAT will unveil their newest product that will include the Titan Switch during Computex on June 5.

ROCCAT’s challenge was to make a more responsive and swift switch by first reducing the actuation point from 2 mm to 1.8 mm and keeping in mind that the quality of the key stroke wasn’t sacrificed for speed. In addition, the switch bouncing time was reduced by 20 percent which was achieved by optimizing the ROCCAT firmware and working with high-quality components to secure the stability of the switch. The crisp, tactile pressure point paired with solid precision and high reaction speed ensures an excellent typing feel and a unique gaming experience.

As a testament to ROCCAT’s commitment to creating the most efficient and state-of-the-art products, design also played a large role in the development of the Titan Switch Tactile. The transparent housing and ultra-light key caps not only offers a view of the switch’s mechanical components, but also shows off ROCCAT’s impressive AIMO lighting system. Each switch contains a long-life multicolor LED for thrilling lighting scenarios in a range of 16.8 million colors. The result is a powerfully balanced switch: precise, responsive, and comfortable.

Fallout 76 Announced with Teaser Trailer

Bethesda Softworks has unveiled their new Fallout game, titled Fallout 76. Not much is known just yet about the game, and more will be revealed during the Bethesda E3 showcase on June 10th, 2018. Based on this trailer, the game seems to be set in West Virginia and involve Vault 76, as “Reclamation Day”. That is supposed to be the day when it it is safe to return to the surface. What kind of game is Fallout 76?? We’ll find out!

From a random Facebook user: Information: Vault 76 was a “control vault” with 500 occupants. No weird experiments in that vault. The date on the Pip-Boy in the trailer is 2102, making this the earliest Fallout game to take place, 25 years after the war. Super mutants weren’t created until 2103, and were made in California. Presumably, this game takes place in West Virginia. In theory, super mutants shouldn’t be in this game, but I’m sure Bethesda will break that lore. Reclamation day is in reference to the date the Vault opens, and the population begins to rebuild the world. The trailer is clearly in the Fallout 4 engine.
