Eden Falling Coming to Early Access

13th February 2020 – Gilbert, AZ – Stepping out from the wastelands of a ruined future Earth, Razor Edge Games announces its first title, the vast third-person, cinematic roleplaying game, Eden Falling. Set in the South West territory of what remains of North America, the sprawling map crosses from Mexico up through Utah with 1,000s of areas to explore. Join different Factions in the emerging civilization and undertake branching Contracts to strengthen bonds and gain experience in the tradition of tabletop gaming. Eden Falling is planned to enter Steam Early Access in 2020, and more can be discovered on the game’s official website which launches today.

Entering Eden Falling, players face a world in ruins. Sixty-two years after Asteroid 410777 struck the Earth, the alien spores it carried have decimated civilization. In the After Fall, what little remained of humanity has split into tribe-like groups. To survive, they have been forced to fight over and control what remains. Customizing their character’s appearance, stats, skills and equipment, players begin their journey in this wasteland, a journey that extends far beyond themselves. With mechanics drawn from tabletop gaming, characters age and evolve over years in-game, gaining experience and skills but losing others abilities, like strength and speed, as they age. But characters legacies don’t end if they retire or die, by building a family or travelling with Companions players can effectively pass on their skills to continue their story.

The expanse of the South West Territory is open for players to explore and filled with over 3,000 areas to explore that are stuffed with remnants of the past. Each environment is generated when it is first encountered, but then is locked as a unique location for the host and any friends in the game with them, with any changes becoming a permanent feature of that unique map. This world is populated with seven Factions to build relationships with, each with their own personalities and goals. Player’s cannot remain neutral between these groups, however, alliances are a necessary evil to survive when forced to contend with Marauders and other dangers. But the pendulum of opinion can be difficult to manage because taking a Contract from one Faction, such as the Texas Star, is likely to damage their standing with another.

Eden Falling promises:

  • Single and multiplayer CRPG developed in the traditions of tabletop gaming
  • No class system offers complete freedom to customise characters
  • Persistent world and characters that will change and age with time
  • Perma-death will see characters’ legacies continue with the Companion System
  • Undo unwanted outcomes by using Destiny Points
  • Modular Build that allows for an incredible number of areas and modding possibilities

Eden Falling’s official website is now live. Here players can discover more about the world of the After Fall and prepare for the game’s release in Early Access later in 2020. Players can also Wishlist the game now on Steam.

Conan Chop Chop Delayed

OSLO, Norway – Feb 12th, 2020 – With all the elements of a hack and slash rogue-lite for 1-4 players being packed into one game, it’s no wonder developer Mighty Kingdom and publisher Funcom have decided to move the launch of Conan Chop Chop from February 25th to Q2 2020.

“We are almost at the finish line. The additional time is to ensure that the game is optimized for online multiplayer, and to give us a chance to add some polish here and there. It’s basically all about getting that final Chop in place,” says Mighty Kingdom CEO Philip Mayes, adding that “This isn’t merely a one-chop game. This is Conan Chop Chop, and that necessitates extra attention to detail.”

Conan Chop Chop was cheekily announced on April 1st, 2019, and was perceived to be an April Fools’ Day joke. The hack and slash rogue-lite was then unveiled as a real game during E3, where press and influencers got the first hands-on preview. Conan Chop Chop will be released on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.

Satisfactory Update 3 Trailer and Steam Early Access Details

SKÖVDE, Sweden – Feb 11th, 2020: Coffee Stain Studios is pleased to reveal that Satisfactory, the otherworldly first-person factory building sim will launch on Steam Early Access as they release their biggest update yet. Update 3 launches today and sees pipes introduced to the game, the single most requested feature from the Satisfactory community since its launch on the Epic Games Store last year. As well as making Pioneer pipe dreams a reality, Update 3 introduces a new Resource Sink, ensuring production never stops by eating excess inventory in exchange for coupons to spend on your factory, Hypertubes – a new (pipe-like) method of transportation, and a new starting area in the remade Dune Desert, only for the most adventurous and brave space explorers. Update 3 is the most significant to launch yet, and sees a host of improvements, balances and new systems as Satisfactory hurtles towards full commercial launch.

The highly anticipated introduction of pipes to Satisfactory adds a completely new layer of complexity for budding factory architects with the addition of fluids. Pioneers can now command the flow of Fluid Oil resources and harness the power of the Water Extractor whilst tinkering with Pipes & Flow Indicators, Pipe Pumps, Fluid Tanks for Trains and command their very own Oil Refinery. The introduction of the Resource Sink means production never halts as it consumes excess inventory, and gives coupons in return to be spent on your factory on exciting new constructs such as glass walls and floors. FICSIT Inc. have also continued to conquer new ground, giving Pioneers a brand new starting area to explore and exploit in the redesigned Dune Desert, a vast arid biome designed to test even the most experienced explorers. As well as the new features added to Satisfactory, Update 3 has also made Pioneers more agile than ever before, with the addition of the character Crouch & Slide.

Update 3 completely revamps Satisfactory with a total rebalance of the game, an endless list of technical fixes, balancing improvements and optimisations to every aspect of the factory sim. Alongside bug fixes, texture improvements, a host of new models and the beginnings of a dynamic wind system, the Jump Pads now affect creatures and physical objects too, for lots of satisfying bouncy chaos.

“Pipes are, unfortunately, the star of this show. I have been meme-tormenting our community for over 1.5 years while doing everything I can to stave off the inclusion of pipes.” said Jace Varlet, Community Manager, Coffee Stain Studios. “I resorted to blackmail, conspiracy, and anonymous threats within the company but alas, pipes managed to claw its way into an otherwise perfect video game. All I wanted was to be happy. Community 1 – Jace 0.”

Satisfactory is available now on the Epic Games Store, and will be launching on Steam Early Access soon.
