Into the Wind Reveal Trailer

Today, indie publisher Three Friends and Swedish studio Bloom & Gloom are excited to reveal their new game Into the Wind. Revealed today at the PC Gaming Show 2026, this handcrafted cosy adventure invites players to take to the skies on their sentient motorcycle-plane companion Ermes as they explore the magical Adriatic islands of Santa Rosa.

In the Studio Ghibli-inspired world of Into the Wind, players inherit their uncle Umberto’s delivery firm as they attempt to solve the mystery of his disappearance. Along the way, they’ll make friends with the island’s colourful residents, customise their bike and home, battle rowdy air pirates, and discover the freedom of life among the clouds in a heartfelt adventure inspired by the joy of the journey itself.

Key gameplay features of Into the Wind include:

  • Motorcycle flight that enables players to take to the skies of Santa Rosa. Cargo has weight, and fuel matters. Roads, shortcuts, weather, wind, and bad landings are all part of the journey.
  • Deliver packages to locals in your uncle’s stead. Carry out deliveries all over the islands: some delicate that have to be handled with care, others heavy that make going up (or down) hill more difficult. Doing jobs earns you resources you use to upgrade Ermes, allowing you to take on more challenging deliveries and adventures.
  • Adriatic open world exploration where players can immerse themselves in the magical islands, cruise along beautiful coastal roads, and explore the many villages and all they have to offer.
  • Solve the mystery of your uncle’s disappearance – what really happened that day when Umberto tried to reach above the skies? It’s up to you and Ermes to find out!
  • Customise your character, motorcycle, and home to your heart’s content – explore the island to find new artisans with goods to bring home with you.

“Into the Wind is about the joy of the journey,” says Albert Säfström, Co-Founder and Producer at Three Friends. “There’s a wonderful, tactile satisfaction to just driving around on the bike, whether you’re on the ground or in the air. You get into this rhythm where you make a delivery, grab an upgrade, and then immediately head back out just to see how the new parts feel. It creates a deceptively addicting ‘one more delivery’ loop that makes it very hard to put the controller down.”

“It’s no secret that we are fans of Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli.” says Robin Hjelte, Co-Founder and Game Director at Bloom & Gloom. “Especially Porco Rosso struck me deeply, and I wanted to make a game about flying among freedom loving idiots in a romantic setting in the Adriatic sea. Into the Wind is our love letter to all that, and more that has been truly meaningful to us: anime, games, movies, summer evenings in the setting sun. It’s a game about momentum, flight, and great game feel, but also about just immersing yourself in the small moments of this world and its stories. We can’t wait for you to take to the skies of Santa Rosa!”

THQ Nordic announces Expeditions: Samurai

Japan, in the year 1600: warlords clash, alliances crumble, and the path to becoming Shogun is anything but tidy. Into this powder keg sails Expeditions: Samurai, a new historical RPG from Campfire Cabal and THQ Nordic, inviting players to choose their own path through history in a branching story shaped by life-or-death decisions. Campfire Cabal is a Copenhagen-based studio founded in 2022 and led by veterans behind the critically acclaimed Expeditions: Conquistador, Expeditions: Viking, and Expeditions: Rome.

In Expeditions: Samurai, the famous navigator William Adams never makes history as Japan’s first European Samurai, because this time, YOU get there first. Arriving aboard the Dutch frigate “De Albatros” as the newly elected leader of a ragtag crew of privateers, players are drawn into the final chapter of a brutal civil war where every choice can shape the fate of their crew and the future of Japan. With eight companions and eight personal stories to uncover, players can build bonds that grow into friendship, rivalry, or even romance. Every crewmate has their own story to uncover – if you manage to earn their trust.

Combat in Expeditions: Samurai is dynamic. It’s fast-paced – and yet still turn-based! Blending simultaneous actions, stealth, gadgets, ambushes, and a broad mix of pirate and Japanese weaponry to an exciting tactical challenge for the players. And for the first time in series history, the adventure can also be played in drop-in/drop-out co-op – because navigating feudal Japanese politics alone is hard enough.

Expeditions: Samurai is coming to PC this Summer and will be available via Early Access.

Valheim Gets 1.0 Release Date

Developer Iron Gate and publisher Coffee Stain Publishing are excited to announce that their acclaimed Viking survival game Valheim will be releasing into 1.0 on September 9th on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series XIS, Nintendo Switch 2, Linux, and Mac. Announced during the PC Gaming Show earlier today, Valheim will conclude its Early Access journey with its biggest update yet: the arrival of Deep North, a frigid land encased in ice and mystery.

Deep North: Glacial Peaks & Frozen Tundras
Deep North is Valheim’s final biome wrought with ancient evils and lurking threats. What at first seems like a picturesque postcard is bound to quickly turn into a struggle to survive as the land awakens to banish any invaders trying to set foot on its icy shores.

When players first arrive in the Deep North, they are likely to be greeted by an impenetrable snowstorm that, once it clears out, reveals snowy mesas and fields frozen in eternal stillness. As they carefully begin to explore, they will discover vast but abandoned villages, quickly realising that they aren’t the first vikings to set foot here.

The northernmost biome is home to some of the most ancient threats players will find in the game. When the trolls of Valheim grow too old, they migrate to the Deep North to become one with the land and transform into Gammeltrolls, primordial giants that serve as the guardians of the north.

While the surface might seem desolate, the underground of the Deep North teems with life. Vikings who have previously set foot here have been attacked and defeated by the malicious Elakingar, who dig tunnels deep into the ground. Adventurers should tread carefully however, for these sinister devils are at times accompanied by something far more terrifying.

Across Realms and Platforms
With the official release of Valheim into 1.0, the game will be coming out on PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2 as well, on top of already being available on PC, Linux, Mac, Xbox One and Xbox Series XIS. Valheim will feature full crossplay between platforms, allowing players from all corners of the world to experience the tenth norse realm however and with whomever they’d like.

“When we set out on this journey back in 2021, we could hardly imagine the amount of players that would dive in, and the size of the community that would form around the game.” says Robin Eyre, Creative Director at Iron Gate. “Approaching 1.0 feels equal parts exciting and anxious as we’ve worked hard to make Deep North a worthy conclusion to the Valheim journey!”

Valheim is set to release globally into 1.0 on September 9th 2026. You can find the Deep North press kit here, and you can follow Valheim on Bluesky, Instagram and Discord for more information and updates

Terrible Lizards Official Gameplay Trailer

US based indie developer WDR Studios, nerdcore musicians JT Music and publisher Digital Pajamas today reveal the first gameplay trailer for horror parkour, Terrible Lizards. Wishlist on Steam now!

Dust and memories litter an old dinosaur attraction on Route 66, a place once full of the laughter and joy of children. Drawn by an unknown ringing inside the abandoned Dalton’s Dinos, a mysterious voice on the other side calls out to you, but can it be trusted? The staff are missing, the attraction is quiet and sinister, and there’s something shifting in the shadows desperate to keep you from the truth. You better get running.

In this mascot horror mashup, you’ll be pushed to your limit as twisted monsters of what once brought joy hunt you across the dinosaur exhibit. Run, jump, climb, wall run and slide through forgotten exhibitions – get clever with your movements to lose your hunters, and don’t end up as prey.

The monsters that thirst for your demise will stop at nothing to end you. Designed by the legendary RJ Palmer, your enemies vary from rotten attractions with frozen goofy smiles, to a creature so monstrous that not even the depths of time can claim its twisted, blood thirsty form.

An ugly truth exists in the depths of Dalton’s Dinos: collect VHS tapes, notes and audio logs to discover what happened at this abandoned attraction, and find the missing child at the heart of it all.

Terrible Lizards is voice acted excellently by Kellen Goff (Five Nights at Freddy’s, My Hero Academia, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind), Amanda Hufford (Date Everything!). Players can also look forward to live action sequences with Christian Ames (JT Music) and MatPat (The Game Theorists)!

Annapurna Interactive Unveils The Lost Wild

During the PlayStation State of Play, Annapurna Interactive and developer Great Ape Games announced that the upcoming cinematic survival horror game The Lost Wild will launch in 2027 for PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.

In The Lost Wild, players embark on an immersive evasion-based survival horror experience where they are pitted against nature’s ultimate hunters — dinosaurs. They assume the role of Saskia, who wakes up on a mysterious island overrun by prehistoric creatures. To survive, Saskia must explore derelict research facilities nestled in a lush wilderness and be resourceful while evading and overcoming this unstoppable threat.

Players become the hunted as the dinosaurs roam the abandoned facility, seeking out their prey. It’s essential to observe movements and patterns to learn about their behavior, to stay alive in this violent primal world. Choosing the best path forward is key, as players use stealth and caution, or venture off the beaten path to discover hidden routes which might lead to safety.

“The Lost Wild is a survival horror experience unlike any other, one that is built around slow burn tension while players are hunted by intelligent dinosaurs. These are not monsters, these are wild animals that think of you as prey,” said Great Ape Games CEO Nick Gregory. “This idea has persisted in various forms and iterations over the years. What started as a shared passion for dinosaurs, curiosity, and a love of games eventually grew into a fully fledged grassroots studio with over 25 talented people behind it. We now find ourselves in the incredibly fortunate position of building our dream dinosaur game, a true love letter to the genre, alongside one of the best publishers in the industry.”

Players can acquire useful items to improve the chances of survival, but will become subject to ever-increasing dangers the deeper Saskia explores, while using non-lethal weaponry, resulting in intense cat and mouse-style gameplay. Players can create distractions and use the environment to their advantage or temporarily scare off deadly predators using a combination of non-lethal weaponry to escape and evade.

Outmaneuver, distract, run, and if all else fails, hide.
