City of Brass Early Access Launch Trailer

Canberra, 18th Sep 2017: Uppercut Games today announced that City of Brass for Windows is available now on Steam at an introductory price of 19.99 USD for the first week, after which it will revert to 24.99 USD.

Armed with a blade and a whip that can grab, trip, disarm, stun or shatter as well as swing, from today players can lash and slash, trick and trap their way through an opulent procedurally-generated city, making it to each trap-infested level’s exit before the sands of time run out – participating in Daily Challenges and testing their mettle against other players on the Steam Leaderboard.

“The initial Early Access version already has a core experience in place: players can dive into a 12 level campaign with hours of replayability, revealing new enemies in each level, discovering gear and relics, encountering fresh traps and evolving their tactics,” explained Lead Designer Ed Orman. “We’re in Early Access to help us balance and tune the gameplay systems, and we will steadily add more content as we approach Final Release.”

Content and features already planned for the game will take 4-6 months to add in, but given new ideas will be introduced as the game evolves, the overall period in Early Access is expected to be around 6-12 months. More enemy types, bosses, districts, secret areas, gear, relics, genies and traps will be added to the Final Release, and the play overall will be more tuned thanks to the period in Early Access. The final battle (which will be different based on decisions players make as they progress and the strategies they employ) and the mysterious prize at the center of the city, will be held back until the Final Release.

City of Brass is available on Steam here.

City of Brass will be released for PlayStation® 4 systems and Xbox One in 2018 after the Final Release of City of Brass for Windows.

This shows in the video as we get held up inside the maze several times by traffic jams.

Atomega Announcement Trailer

SAN FRANCISCO – September 11, 2017 – Today, Ubisoft® announced Atomega, a new online multiplayer FPS available on September 19, 2017 on Steam. Developed by Reflections, a Ubisoft studio, in the same small incubator which created Grow Home and Grow Up, Atomega was made with a creatively experimental mind-set, deliberately seeking to create unusual concepts which will surprise and delight players.

Atomega takes place at the very end of time where reality is rapidly dissolving. All that exists are Exoforms, super advanced post-biological lifeforms, masters of matter and energy and the last distant relative to man and machine. As the laws of physics slowly repeal, the Exoforms fight for fun and dominance, replaying the final moments of the universe in an arena at the edge of destruction.

The player must acquire mass, by peacefully collecting it or via firefights, to evolve his Exoform from the nimble Atom to the godlike Omega. Competing for mass, players engage in a frantic battle for supremacy through intense 10-minute rounds gathering up to 8 players. Acquiring mass also grants points and the player with the most points at the end of the round wins. It is a relentlessly competitive experience, an easy to pick-up but hard to master game, with a light-hearted tone echoing the personality of its small development team.

Atomega will be available digitally worldwide on Steam for $9.99 on September 19, 2017.

Transformers: Titans Return Second Chapter Images

September 11, 2017 – Hasbro, a global play and entertainment company, and Machinima, the premiere digital video programmer of gamer and fandom-focused content, are releasing the first images from the second chapter of the upcoming digital series, TRANSFORMERS: TITANS RETURN.  Continuing the massive worldwide interest in Transformers: Combiner Wars, TITAN RETURN debuts this November worldwide on Verizon’s mobile entertainment destination, go 90 – except in China, where it airs on Sohu.com. The series features 10 episodes at approximately 11 minutes per episode. Since launching the trilogy’s first installment of the digital series in August 2016, Transformers: Combiner Wars, has garnered more than 125 million global views on across a variety of digital platforms.

About Transformers: Titans Return

TITANS RETURN stars Peter Cullen, who originated the voice of Optimus Prime in the 1980s animated Transformers series and will be making his Prime Wars Trilogy debut in the upcoming installment as the voice of Optimus Prime. Cullen will be joined by a host of fan favorites including Judd Nelson, who is reprising his roles of Rodimus Prime and Hot Rod from the 1986 animated Transformers movie, Michael Dorn as Fortress Maximus, Wil Wheaton as Perceptor, Nolan North as Metroplex and Jason David Frank as Emissary.

They are joined by returning talent from Combiner Wars, including Abby Trott (Windblade), Jason Marnocha (Megatron), Frank Todaro (Starscream), Lana McKissack (Mistress of Flame), and DashieGames (Menasor), as well as a new set of influencers like MatPat (Computron), Rob Dyke (Devastator) and Tay Zonday (Chorus of the Primes).

Picking up right where the destruction of the Combiner Wars left off, TITANS RETURN takes the action of the Prime Wars Trilogy to new ‘heights,’ and features return appearances from many fan-favorite Transformers characters as well as introduces new Autobots and Decepticons. In the series, enormous Transformers called Titans are awakened and these massive characters bring massive problems. Trypticon, a gigantic lizard-like Transformer, rises to wreak havoc on Cybertron, while Windblade and a rag-tag team of Transformers must resurrect an ancient ally. Not all Transformers will survive, as beloved heroes are changed forever while others’ sparks are blown to oblivion. Like Combiner Wars, sophisticated storytelling reveals more than meets the eye for older audiences and kids of all ages when a sinister secret is discovered.

Romero and Tobe Hooper –  with a double bill featuring the West Coast premiere of MOMA and FIlm Foundation’s NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD 4K digital restoration and TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE. And the theatrical premiere of NAPOLEON DYNAMITE BOOTLEG EDITION pairs a totally gonzo WTF double bill with HOWARD THE DUCK on 70mm with Lea Thompson in person.

Phillippe’s revelatory PSYCHO shower scene doc 78/52, and Ted Geoghegan’s sophomore scalper, MOHAWK.

Author and academic Kier La Janisse will be present for Jean Rollin’s THE GRAPES OF DEATH and the release of the book, Lost Girls: The Phantasmagorical Cinema of Jean Rollin which she is publishing. Friday Night Frights are co-presenting the west coast premiere of the 4K restoration of the thoroughly bugnuts RAWHEAD REX and the Death Waltz Records record release of HELLRAISER on 35mm.
