WRIGHTWOOD, Calif. – Feb. 7, 2019 – The Beast, Mountain High’s East Resort, opens top to bottom tomorrow, February 8, at 9:00 a.m. Winter storms recently dropped two-to-three feet of new snow allowing guests to access this incredible terrain.
“This is the most snow we’ve seen in a decade,” said John McColly, Mountain High’s vice president of sales and marketing. “Conditions are absolutely perfect, so grab your gear and come enjoy the East Resort which people affectionately call ‘The Beast.’”
Mountain High’s East Resort boasts the longest trails in the region serviced by a single high-speed quad chair lift. Its long, groomed, cruising trails make it perfect for carving. It is also home to the Olympic Bowl, the longest, steepest bump run in the region. The top elevation of Mountain High’s East Resort is 8,200 feet. With 1,600 vertical feet of uninterrupted surface, it offers traditional skiers and snowboarders a true alpine experience without having to journey far from home.
Beginning tomorrow, both Mountain High’s East and West Resorts will be 100 percent open offering terrain for all levels of skiers and snowboarders. Tubing and snow play will be available at Yeti’s Snow Park, located at the base of the East Resort.
All roads to Mountain High are open with no restrictions.
